View Full Version : Please pray for me...
I know many of you are not of a christian faith, but whatever your god is, please pray for me. If you just want to wish me goodness please do so.
I haven't been on for a while and the reason is because my 11yr old brother was recently in a car accident. After spending a whole day in the emergency room with him, he died. My family is in complete trauma especially my 6yr old bro.
So please pray (wish me peace) for me, because right now I wanna kill myself. ummmm to those I'm writing with right now, I will be back soon but I don't have the drive to write for now.
BTW my name is Manny, for those who will pray for me.

Of course we'll pray for you - whatever your faith is, prayer is a powerful thing. May God be with your family during this impossible time and grant you what little serenity can be available after such a tragedy. My heart breaks for you.

Hey Manny--everybody goes through tough times and experiences loss. I know that not everybody experiences loss as extremely as you have. However, just remember that all of this is part of the test. I'm personally not a Christian myself but I will be keeping you in my thoughts and wishing for you to find your strength in your time of need. Anyway dude, keep fighting the good fight and stay strong. I am certain that your brother would want you to keep living.

If you're going to ask people to pray for you, it might be polite to refrain from cursing the God you've asked them to pray towards.
I'll keep you in what thoughts and prayers I offer. Woundedness is a deeper reality than we know, and sometimes its manifestations are as much cries for attention as anything else.

Humanity has plenty to offer those who suffer. Be sure not to look entirely to faith to help you and your family. There are people who make it their life's work to help troubled families and individuals. Sometimes it's easy to yearn for a mystical solution or to call out into the bleakness of the internet, but I'm sure there are people close to you and your loved ones that you can lean on in your time of need and tragedy.
Best wishes.

Manny, you will always be Max to me. I pray for you, and your family. Please do not blame this on God, as He never wants anything bad to happen to you. I used to blame God when my family fell apart, and when the love of my life left me never to come back, but I realized that God had not abandoned me. Pain is part of the human condition, something that we recieved in equivalent exchange for Free Will. I know that it is hard right now to accept the death of a loved one, I myself have never had to go through this but my ex-girlfriend did when we were together.
The challenge you will now face will be whether or not you choose to move forward. Will you live a good, full life now that your brother can't? You need to ask yourself, can you live a life to be proud of, a life you can tell your little brother about after you die?

Sometimes attention and the knowledge that others (including God) are there to support you are what begins the healing process. Stay strong buddy and feed that strength to your parents. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Be rational. The measure of a man isn't met in times of complacency but in times of crisis, so the only advice I can give you is to remain level-headed and try to untangle yourself from the situation and help others do the same. I know some people find faith as a source of strength, but I believe most people are capable of surviving the most horrific things both psychologically and physically with little more than willpower and determination.
Best of luck.
Praying for you.
Hope you pull through and your family too.
