Bitter Matthew is an angry guy. He gets mad at generally anything. He's often not satisfied and is very self serving. Doing things to get what he would like. Originally, he was not from Althanas. He was from an entirely different dimension. It was a stormy day and he was trying to sleep. Unfortunately some chirpy baby birds were making too much noise for his tastes. So he went outside with a baseball bad with a nail in it to try and knock the nest down so he could wail on the baby birds. After some futile flailing, he knocked the nest to the soil and murdered the crap out of the baby birdies.
What happened next seems entirely unexplainable. Be it the work of science or an angry god, a bolt of lightning struck his bat and traveled down to Matthew and transported him to another world. Annoyed and lost in a new world, he now tries to figure out his situation.
Stuff he's got: Bitter Matthew is wearing a Novelty T-shirt and blue jeans from his world. He's wearing brand new tennis shoes too. He's got his wallet and his baseball bat with a nail in it. That's about it. Oh, and he's wearing glasses. His vision isn't that bad, but it was bad enough to need them to see better into the distance.
Skills: Generally, he's an overweight angry guy. Matthew is pretty resourceful and can use his surroundings oddly well. He also can not speak common. The only language he knows is this bizarre language called "english." Since people usually can't understand him, he often has to mime things out. It's tough, because he really only knows about his own world, mind you, sometimes that information can really come in handy.
Now one might be asking "How is this jerk not dead yet?" That's a good question. Thing is Matthew has some odd luck. It seems the universe kind of favors the unruly and angry. It keeps things interesting. Thankfully, it also keeps him out of bad trouble and lets him find nice things.
Housing: Currently he has a free room at some little Hole in the Wall inn tucked into the bustling island of Corone called "The Rusty Aglet." It's not a very good inn and rarely has customers. The owner simply found Matthew so strange that he just lets him stay as long as he hangs around the bar every once and a while.
