Skin Colour: Pale
Height: Around 150 cm
Weight: Around 25 kg
Occupation: Leornian Explorer
Alignment: True Neutral

Appearance:
Lar almost seems like a child from appearance but is actually less than a child; he is only about a quarter the age that he looks like. With the outer appearance of a 12 year old he has straight silver hair and sharp golden eyes that show no feeling, no emotion and most of all no compassion. His eyes a bright golden colour seeming to brightening up your day but deep inside is a cold darkness that sends a shiver down your spine. His lean figure even if small seems very thin and it looks like he has not eaten in days. His skin looking very pale and it would seem like he was a very weak little kid at a first glance but that is just the work of magic running through his blood lightening it up.

Personality:
Lar almost has a complete lack of emotion and feeling so it is almost impossible to figure out what he is thinking about at any given time. He always thinks before he acts and even if he does act he never does anything too extreme for himself, since he does not know how to defend himself he always tries to avoid danger on a level he can take while learning the most. Lar avoids almost everything he can see and always asks too many questions when he doesn’t know what somebody is talking about and this can tick people off at times. He is very suspicious of people he doesn’t know anything about because of his constant reliance on knowledge about other people and their behaviour.

History:
Lar’s life is a complete process of learning, starting from when he learns from himself to others and then finally learning from the world he is part of. For the first two years of his life Lar stayed with the elders in Salvar and they taught him of the Leornian culture, what he is part of and his weaknesses and powers, trained his mind to be proficient in all languages they knew and most importantly, they taught him how to not show his emotion and only ever express himself with his words. He was taught about his race and taught of what he could do and what he couldn’t do, what he shouldn’t try and what he should strive to do. The hundred people making up the race their own people call Leorni. The hundred people all in an endless cycle of learning, the people set out to learn things while the elders constantly take in all that knowledge and once again set the people out to find out more about this world. They get reborn with the same name when they die. They don’t have parents, but the elders are the closest to take on that role as a human parent does.

Lar was finally free when the elders no longer had anything else to teach him and in their race everybody decides what they want to learn about when they experience the outside world, Lar set off for a journey of epic proportions equating to all that he wants to learn, everything. What he wanted to learn first was what Liviol really is. The Warded Wood famed to be made up entirely of Liviol seemed very suspicious so Lar wanted to know what really causes this. Many have seen it before and everybody knows it resists magic very well but Lar wanted a piece of it not to make it into something, he wanted to draw out the magic trapped in it. The main thing you need to have before knowledge is a way of getting this knowledge and to know that he needed a guide, somebody who is used to the world and is earth-bound. His first job, to find somebody who could show him around the world and help him collect information, he also needed a scout of some kind, somebody of high influence where he can affect things and somebody strong so he can be protected from the dangers of this world. He needed a team.

Skills:
Body: Lar is part of a race that has been living in secret hoping that nobody every finds out what they really are. His body is manifested with magic yet they can never seem to draw it out from its resting place without damaging the vassal, their body. Using magic essentially destroys the Leornian body system making their mind overload. Even thought the magic constantly flows through him empowering almost every aspect of their body making them seem better than the humans at a first glance it also slowly takes over from any sign of weakness or expression. When magic has overwhelmed the body of a Leornian they simply disappear and the elders are forced to gather the magical force and forge another Leornian. Since all Leornian are unable reproduce and they were taught not to show any sign of weakness or change, they show almost not affection towards each other so they only ever think of the other people of their race somebody who shares knowledge and is as keen to learn as they are.

The Leornian body structure is smaller and lighter than a human’s but it’s just as strong and sturdy as one. The magic in the body can keep it running for about one week without eating, drinking or sleeping. The magic is slowly restored in a process that includes a lot of eating and resting for about the same period of time. The magic absorbs a lot of the energy the body produces and takes all that energy and runs its own little system of production, their bodies are always in good shape and they require no toning, training or constant exercise to keep it fit and healthy. The reason the Leornian race is not very friendly with the rest of the world is because in theory they are not mortal, proof of this is that when they die they leave no corpse. The reason their body leaves no corpse is that the magic collects these remains and absorbs them when their host has left the world.

Their body is not forged only from flesh, muscle and bone. It is forged mainly from the magic that runs through all Leornian people. Their body grows larger at a very fast rate until their mind has fully adapted to this world when they completely stop physical growth on their body. For this most of their kind stops growing very early as their curiosity can be stopped by the knowledge of the elders themselves, but for Lar he set out for a journey to learn not just a little about the world, he wanted to know everything and to know that he needed a guide, somebody who is used to the world and is earth-bound. His first job, to find somebody who could show him around the world and help him collect information, he needed a scout of some kind and somebody of high influence where he can affect things.

Memory: Lar can remember everything he sees, hears, smells, tastes and feels. Lar is part of a small race that has a much better built brain than the human. Lar’s observation skills are at their peak being able to notice the smallest details in any event even if he doesn’t reveal them. Lar has a memory that is exceptionally good even for a Leornian and he has yet to make any mistakes in his life thus extending the lifetime of his fragile magical body. He is advanced at observing multiple things that are at the edge of his vision at the same time.

Vision: Lar has 20:15 vision so at 15 feet he can see what other ‘normal’ humans can see at 20 feet.

Communication: Lar has been taught the Leornian way and only communicates to others with his words, he does not show any emotion, passion or excitement and thus his actions are only determined on what he needs to do. To communicate properly in this way Lar has learnt many languages from the elders and backs these up with the use of his memory to learn any language he can possibly be taught naturally. The languages he has knowledge of how to read and write are: Common, Drow, Dwarven, Elven, Fallien, High Elven, Leornian, Salvic and Tradespeak .

Running: The Leornian people all use their two stable feet as means of transport and rarely get off the ground without jumping so they are all used to walking or running long distance. The Leornian people also developed a specific form of running they call the quick step making up of very fast steps that use all the momentum that is already built up to run really fast. Their bodies are also built very light with magic so they can run at very high speeds while using a minimal amount of energy. With this built up training of the quick step and all the times that Lar had to run away from the dangers of the natural world compiled together to make up his speed. With all these put together Lar can constantly run at 55km/h (55km/h) .

Lore: The high amounts of knowledge Lar currently holds inside his memory can only be brought onto the world at an above average level so he still does not know that much about this world, he aims to learn as much as he can before his magical energy returns to the endless cycle of their race.

Weapons training: Lar has been trained with other Leornians about what danger lurks in this world and how he can deal with them so he was first taught how to use his body as a weapon and use other weapons to fight. With his training Lar can fight with any sword at an above average level or without any weapons at an average level and he can also use improvised weapons at a below average level.

Action: Lar can reproduce the actions he has seen people perform, use, do as long as they could have been taught to him. Lar is unable to copy combat based skills because they require practice, proper training and defer from person to person so for those skills he actually needs to be taught about them. All these actions that Lar can copy are performed at an above average level or equivalent on par for the skill. The current skills that he can perform by copying them are:

Equipment:
Burlap Bag: This bag has two tight draw strings and they are fully strapped with iron clips so that nothing ever falls out of it without Lar noticing. Lar has been carrying this around since he started learning things because in it he carries the many tools he needs for his ventures into the outside world.

Destinee Ring: This ring always points Lar in the direction of his destiny but he rarely actually follows it. The ring constantly has a thin beam of light pointing in the direction of the wearer’s destiny and the beam amplifies as the wielder gets closer to the position. Lar learns of where it points to first then evaluates the value of his destiny instead of following the ring blindly. This item can’t be sold for any price or traded in any kind of deal.

Lar’s Leornian Signet: This signet shows other members of his race his true nature and using this they can brought together when the elders wish it to be so. Each Signet has the name of the Leornian family on it, sharing the same name as who you shared your magic with. This signet can warp Lar back to the elders at the time but if Lar is not within 10 metres of the signet it only shines a bright yellow colour. If Lar dies the signet is automatically warped to the elders showing that they must again gather up the magic of Lar and forge Lar again, rebuilding his body, his mind and erasing his memories. The endless cycle of knowledge, lore and memories continues. This item can’t be sold for any price or traded in any kind of deal.

Lar’s Book of Knaulege: This book can only be read when Lar opens it up and it contains everything that is known to Lar. The book is the tool for a teacher, typically for the elders to read, but if Lar has a need to, he can open up his mind to others and invite them into the book for a journey to unfold. Since all members of the Leornian race has no prejudice against anything or anyone their stories are the most accurate out of all in the world, the noble race once the keepers of knowledge have sunk in this world of darkness and destruction. Even in this world where wars are fought, battle are lost and people are killed for power the Leornian race still stand proud of their ways and do their job perfectly. Their teachings and culture are always kept in these books, the books wipe themselves clean when their owner dies and when they are renewed the book starts a new life for itself. This item can’t be sold for any price or traded in any kind of deal.

Iron Blade: This sword is a simple bladed sword that is a little curved. The sword is around 76 cm long with the blade being 70 cm of that length and the sheath is also following the curve make out of oak with a indent in the sheath where has a string suitable for tying around an object of some kind.

Iron Rapier: This rapier is a simple thrusting weapon made with a large cup hilt around the handle with a sharp round pommel. The blade is split into the two pieces, the Forte and the Debole. The forte is the strong part of the blade and the debole is the part of the blade that is used for thrusting and other attacking techniques. This weapon belongs to Light, not Lar.

Familiars:
Light: This humanoid started following Lar when he left the Leornian library and the fellow seems quite battle worthy yet still very agile from the looks of it. The magic in Lar's body reacts to Light so he is suspicious that Light is also a magical being, but he only just met him so he doesn't know anything for real.

Hi there and welcome to Althanas! I'll be going over your profile with you adn asking for any necessary changes...

Memory - what exactly is 'very far away'? Are we talking about the distance normal eyes can see here, or something else? Also, I understand his brain works better than a humans, however, the mastered quality of this is too high. He can be Advanced in it and then increase it as he levels up.

Running - Seeing as 50km/h is about 1.5x the speed of a normal human, you can keep this, but will have to remove the 80km/h for now. As compensation, I'll allow you to up his natural speed to 55km/h.

Action - this skill can very easily be powergamed. I'd prefer if you changed it so that he can only copy certain types of skills.

Due to an unfinished profile on 'Light', he will not be eligiable to participate in battles with other characters i.e. The Citadel, Tournaments... etc. He can however still participate in all your quests and whatever fighting takes place in them.

Just make those changes and I'll take another look at it.

I made some changes, I hope it won't take too long for me to get started.

Just need you to change some wording a bit.

Weapons Training - With or without weapons at an average level and then with improvised weapons at a below average level. Well, what's an improvised weapon? He can fight without weapons i.e. brawling, at an average level. Considering he has a sword, he can be Above Average in the use of Swordsmanship and still Below Average in his 'improvised' weapons.

Once you change that, you should be good to go.

Edits made, but didn't that just increase how strong he would be? He only has a sword anyway. Sorry, I just realised how I could abuse that skill. I changed it to edged piece of metal so that he could use anything bladed as a weapon in combat. It also makes it a little more specific than any weapon. Sorry about that.

No, in fact changing it to say 'any edged weapon' makes him stronger. So basically he can fight with a spear, halberd, axe, sword, rapier, dagger and any other weapon that has an edge on it with Above Average skill. That's at least six weapons that he hasn't even had to learn anything about in order to fight Above Average with. Thus why I listed specific weapons. We don't give broad generalizations with skills here.

So, he can be above average in swordsmanship.

Again, I was trying to mean just swords and daggers and stuff like that, but yea I understand that.
