The fiendish looking lady Marilda sneered at her sister Akluthian. The two began bickering in a strange dead dialect of Mehrish, the queer ancient language of the Herdian Folk, a species popularly known to still exist only in the influences it had on Althanian culture and literature. To anyone watching, the two seemed to be about to break down to a full-on fight, but anyone who understood what they were saying would've known that their "argument" came down to little more than squabbling over the last bit of food; specifically, the island of Scara Brae. A third, Polafti, the largest and clearly the one with the most authority stepped in between them.

"Murafti moobata. Marilda! Akluthian! Shienka to! Kya shi... buth e tre."

Three days later, I sat, staring at the ocean, by the town of Heraldi. An insignificant fact, but worthy of notice nonetheless, it is heavily believed to be one of the first Herdian settlements on their later flourishing settlement of Scara Brae, known in High Mehrish as A Hui Pwa, meaning The Great Garden.

I could introduce myself, I could tell you more about my history; I could give you more details than you need on the weather that day. However, I believe that for the time being all that requires to be said is that on this clear day, a great chaos split Heraldi into absolute chaos on levels much like a riot as the sight of three wretched women flying towards it became a prominent feature in the sky, fire following them on all sides.

I was walking along a dirt path, in a small stand of trees just outside of the town of Heraldi. The air smelled of pine needles, small scurrying animals, and decay. I had my wings spread to let them cool off from my flight out here. The wind blew through the trees, ruffling my feathers and my fur. I heard the faint roaring of a fire, but it wasn't coming from the forest. I looked up to see three women flying towards me, with waves of flame washing beside them like the waves on a beach. I ran towards the beach, trying to see what was going on. I saw a man, about my age, sitting, staring at the women. He was large, but slightly shorter than me, and heavier. and he seeed to be in inner turmoil. I walked up tohim, keeping an eye on the flames in te sky, loosing my sword in it's scabbard. I also flexed my hands, extending my claws, in case isurprisedhim, and he turned violent.

"What is that, who are they?" I asked, still keeping a watchfull eye on this man in the blue trousers and tunic, while also hoping that his military apperance was just that, apperance. If he turned violent, I wouldn't want to go up against a blademaster. i had some advantages over him, but not much. The only thing I could really do to gain the advantage would be to take off and fight from the air. I paused about five feet from him and waited for his response.
