The Saint left the constable’s office, and went towards Eruien’s house . It was a cold, humid night in Scara Brae, and the sky was full of clouds. It seemed as it would rain, soon. The Saint hasten his pace on the dusty narrow road, passing by houses of different shape and sizes. The town was silent, and only a dog’s bark at the moon could be heard, now and then. The road was lighten by the torches.Their burning sounded like they were whispering amongst themselves, things that can only be said in fire. But, their flames started to dim as the rain began to pour.
The touch of the wet, cold drops on the Saint, had a soothing feeling , although he was shivering. The road became muddy, and the torches grew more silent. Only the sound of the rain and Catillin’s steps in the puddles could be heard in the night.
Catillin thought of Eruien, of how easy he recognized him. The Saint thought that Eruien might react different when he told him, who he was. It has been a long time, since they last met, and they both looked slightly different. But, then again, Eruien can see things of one’s soul, like any other Elder of elves. He must have saw a familiar spiritual energy within. Catillin surely had. He valued Eruien’s friendship, more than Eruien could guess. He always thought of Eruien of more than just a friend. When Catillin had to recover, in any way, physically or mentally, Eruien was always there to provide a much needed aid.
The Saint reached Eruien’s house, and knocked softly. A cat was sleeping on the bench, shading it from the rain outside. The roof was covering the front-step of the house. Finally, Eruien answered the door , the sound of his voice sounding as if he was awaken.
“Come in, Catillin”
“Eh, sorry, to wake you up. I hope I didn’t ruin any dreams you might had.”
“I felt asleep, while reading. I want to show you something.”....

“What have you found, Eruien?”
“Is this book I found. It tells an interesting story about a weapon, a weapon named Onentienthlo.”
“Onentienthlo? That sounds familiar. What is it about?”
“It speaks about a hero, which found a sword that felt from the sky, long time ago. It was rumored that the sword possessed strange magic, never seen by this world. The hero couldn't move the sword from it's place. And now is thought to be in the depths of sea, passed through time; sand, mud, and water now covering it.”
“How did they knew the name?”
“From what I understood, the hero who found it, touched it and he had a vision of it's power, but he wasn't found worthy of it, the sword rejected him. He wasn't a elf.”
“Did someone else tried to take it?”
“This is the interesting thing. A Raiaeren hero, tried to pull it out, but managed to pull only half of it. Then he was blasted by the sword at distance.”
“It sounds familiar.”
“Yes, a dark elf tried to steal the sword in our world, but couldn't. He wasn't a fully elf as understood by the sword. In a way, Raiaerens are very much like us, so are the dark elves from Elmoreden.”
“It would be very difficult to find it. Doesn't say something about where the sword might be?”
“No one knows. It was lost in the mist of time.”
“Who has written the legends?”
“Hm..it appears to have no author. Oh wait, there is a signature on the last page. It says it was collected by the Triskels. This is the name of the local family of librarians.”
“Well, will have to wait until the morning then. Hopefully will find something...”
“The Onentienthlo sword...who would've thought?...”
And so, the Saint lay to rest, thinking about the sword that eluded many elders, and adventurers alike, for many generations, a sword blessed with Eva's powers, a sword that helped the elves of Elmoreden survive from their perverted foes.
A sword, that only a pure soul could wield it.
Now ,it lays hidden in the strange waters of Althanas, who knows how deep or far...
