Ya damn straight! I said it because it's true.

lol just kidding. I am excited about this idea though. I was reading Inkfinger's new Rough Guide to Fallien and a whole bunch of ideas came flooding into my head, but one was truly my favorite.

I want to steal a Fallien horse from Survani's Oasis... Naw! Fuck it! I want to steal fifty of them. I've been going over the quest premise and the storyline with Inkfinger (Fallien's mod if you didn't know) for the past few weeks now. He's been really great helping me with the details, so now it's time to recruit.

I am definitely interested in this and considering my character is both a fighter and a thief which quite a reputation in Fallien, I would love to join up for the first thread.

By the by, how do you plan on just waltzing through Astaka?

I have a few ideas, and I'll be discussing them with Inkfinger. One of which would be using the disguise of a Fallien official (perhaps resuming the identity of a mailman or putting on the uniform of a militiaman) under the premise that some rich foreigner has purchased a very large sum of horses from the Esseker tribe. Another option would be to time our theft so that we can just blast through Astaka in the middle of the night while everyone is sleeping. Either way once we pass Astaka we'll have them and the Esseker's coming after us.

Hmm... I think the Official would raise too much suspiscion for the Ahketamikan people. They're quite isolated where they are and are quite used to staying that way. Passing through in the dead of night might help, as long as you're not caught by a sentry. Try passing by a sentry in an open desert with about fifty horses. I highly doubt that's going to work.

I think an easy way to do it would be to simply explain that there is a festival going on in Astaka at the time. They have several a year, two of their major festivals being the festival of the dead and the festival of life. There are so many outsiders in the area at that time they probably wouldn't even look twice. However, that's just my two cents. Other than that, just try to pass the group off as a caravan going through The Oasis to The Outlander's Post. Making a pit stop in Astaka would be convenient for most caravans. Stop, get some water, perhaps share some stories and relax for a night... etc. So, that might be the easiest one and one to raise the least eyebrows.

Whoo, a major heist quest! :D

I want in. I have a thief character who's not getting a lot of jobs right now and I sure could resharpen my writing skills.

Here's Haruzame's profile (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=5271) in case you want to read it.

He's currently not involved in any quest (due to RL issues...) so his story is as open as an unfurled sail.

BTW, International, meet the creator of Astaka. ;)

In other news, this is just me chiming in to say that this quest has the Official Fallien Writer stamp of approval. Its the least I can do, since my continent's gonna be trying its hardest to kill y'all.

Well, I just signed on for this so it's going to take a lot more than your continent to stop us.

Oh Awesome! Good to meet you, creator of Astaka, and thank you Inkfinger for endorsing this quest. That really means a lot to me considering all the effort you put in to help me out with the info and everything.

Reine, you're definitely in. I want as much help as you can give us on making Astaka accurate and interesting.

Toy Soldier, you're definitely in for reasons we discussed over AIM. Your character and my npc Ludivine would make an amazing connection that would see to major dramatic development in the thread.

And Godhand, you're going to make the trek through the continent much smoother and much more interesting. We can pull out all the stops when it comes to providing tactical obstacles for the team.

Advent Wings, I'm not turning you down. I have another ABSOLUTELY AMAZING idea for you. PM me if you're interested.

I have also decided to close the quest to any further participants. Thread 1b will now be a side story in thread 1a seeing as my npcs are capable of handling any obstacles in Outlander's Post on their own. This quest will now be packed nicely into one neat little thread.

Oh dear gussy, my giddy aunt, etc etc and woe. Just wipe your feet before you track mud all over the place. ;P

Hmm...How about a 'hired' hostage? Throw my character 10 gold and he'd gladly do as told. o.o

Sorry Kially. I've already filled the roster up, and have planned a scenario catering to the characters that will be involved. Maybe next time.

This thread will now become a discussion thread for our quest.

Alright, got a post up - there was a bit of bunnying, there - if it doesn't work for anyone, please let me know and I will fix it. :)
