View Full Version : Is this a glitch?

I just finished a thread in the Citadel with Kade Underbough (my first thread, in fact) and submitted it for judging. It didn't show up in my "View Your Judging Requests" section, though, so I submitted it again...still nothing. Then Kade submitted it, and it doesn't show up in his Judging Requests either, so I have no idea what is going on.
If we just flooded you guys with judging requests, I'm very very sorry. :o I'm just wondering if it got through at all or not.
I don't know if this was the place to post this, either...

It's been happening for a while. I have a judging request that isn't showing as well. Other times they will show in duplicate or show erroneous information.
Rest assured, it isn't your fault.
Kind of a shame this bug wasn't considered important enough to fix, but oh well. An explanation was given to me when I asked about it a few months ago, but I don't recall what it was. It wasn't particularly satisfying, but everyone has their own priorities.

OK, so it's been broken for a while.
Technically, it's not a glitch, but an error in the codes. We're working to fix that at the moment. (Or so I believe, since it was being fixed when I was a Mod 6 months ago.) I do believe the judges can see your submission request, so don't worry. We- I mean, they'll get to it. :)

The submissions show up for the judges to take, but the coding is not working for others to be able to see their own submissons. So please refrain from submitting a thread more than once, it's annoying more than anything, especially if two different judges accept the same thread. ;)

Oh dear, sorry. :o
profound embarassment!
Thanks for all the help, though, everyone! That was quick.

Haha, no worries. You didn't know.

We actually got rid of that program awhile ago.
The moderator should PM you when they accept the thread for judgment.

Er, well, it happened to me. I'm fine, I'm just glad that you guys got it, and I suppose I'll know that everything is fine when I get a PM.

Someone should remove it from the forum entirely then, rather than leaving a non-functional reference. A pile of garbage lies festering in your living room. You inform your guests that you "Got rid of that a while ago." I don't mean that to sound over-critical, but as the replies in this thread attest, people have been having this problem for... half a year? More than enough time to remove the offending code. Unless vBulletin has gotten immensely more complex since my last time editing them, I doubt it would take more than ten minutes.
Also, moderators may not be doing the PM thing, unless no one has claimed Kerrigan and I's Chance thread in over a month.

It's mostly due to the guy in charge of coding stuff being out of the country for a few months.
That bastard.
But it, along with some other pestersome (not a word) bugs that have been plaguing us recently will be cleaned up in about a week when he returns. At least... that's what I heard.

I sometimes forget to send a PM, but all of my judges have been sending them when they claim a thread... even to me if they claim mine and I can see that they did so. Lol.
As for that thread it's waiting, and I apologize for the delay. There is a small backlog, and people are going slow or not around. I'm going to be working on the backlog as much as I can in the next few days so I should be getting to your thread as soon as I get two more out of the way.
Bear Man. I sent you and Kade a PM before I saw this thread explaining what was said in here, lol. Sorry about the second tossed in info on top of already getting it. :p

Then Kade submitted it
Sssshh. Don't mention me.
EDIT: Oops, wrong character

Win.
And I'm not concerned about the speed of my thread's judging. They say "Justice delayed is justice denied," but I'd rather it be done right.

I'll never know why Serilliant does the stuff he does for Althanas, but I love him for it.

But you love anything with a pulse..And I've heard in some cases, that the pulse is optional.
