On a side note, I believe my first post describes the setting and such quite well. However, to maintain the effect and the tone I wanted, I didn't give a whole lot of backstory for my character. Forgive me... that will come later, with inter-character dialogue. Or... well, it might. Maybe.

Heh, I really appreciate the interest - I was hoping somebody would give me some sort of gauging on whether or not I was "doing it wrong" or not. Thanks, Task - I appreciate the feedback. Keep me posted, and if anything crosses your mind (criticism or compliment), don't be afraid to post it.

You're welcome to it! Just get that character approved and hop right in. I believe the limit for this certain mission is six in total, and we'll have four if everyone joins who has requested to do so. I think that's a healthy number. Now I just need the rest of you to start posting, and do so with haste (not forsaking quality, of course) - I'd like to get this story moving!

Edit: Alright, everyone - my next post is up! I'm really liking the way this is going thus far, and the character diversity is extremely promising. I only have a couple of requests thus far, and just for continuity's sake:

- So that everyone can make sure we're on the same page - i.e. know what's going on - make sure you run your post through some sort of word processor before posting it. This will help avoid a lot of simple things, such as spelling errors, missing capitalization, run-ons, and misused punctuation.

- I don't mind you guys taking liberties with my NPCs or the setting - that's totally fine, and I enjoy mixing it up - but please remain faithful to the descriptions that have gone before you as best you can!

I'm bumping this thread for an activity check. Hopefully, everyone is still there and writing. I haven't heard anything - either here in the Out of Character, nor there in the In Character, in more than a day's time now. I'd appreciate a little bit of a heads-up on what's going on.
