We need to organize a road trip to Rhode Island, like, five minutes ago. (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/08/24/kfcs-double-down-sandwich_n_266848.html)

Fox News: Your Source and other likeminded individuals for policing what you eat with baseless assumptions and independent studies.

Too wordy.

While I dread even imagining trying to eat that, I'd wait until they actually release the nutritional information and calories to break it down into comparisons and into individual research. I don't have enough faith in the Vancouver Sun based on the quote below to believe they took the time to figure out all the nutritional information on their own. Doesn't that consist of buying the product then backwards-engineering everything they did through a nutritionalist to get a caloric breakdown? Are any of you really sure this newspaper went through that when they posted this?

But if our figures hold true, and KFC won't confirm they don't, the Double Down is more caloriffic than the Wendy's Triple with Everything and Cheese (1700 mg sodium, 960 calories, 26 gms of fat), the Burger King Stacker Quad (1770 sodium, 1020 calories, 69 gms of fat), and compares closely to the fat, salt and calorie totals of three McDonalds Big Macs put together (3060 sodium, 1620 calories, 87 gms fat).

More data and hard facts, less spin and bias.

Personally, I was drawn more to the killing chickens at home (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/08/25/killing-chickens-at-home_n_268663.html) article with possibly the white-trashiest photo I have ever seen in my life.

On the subject of the sandwich, I no longer trust KFC after the ridiculously awful Famous Bowls they came out with a few years ago. They advertised those things like crazy, and since they looked pretty much exactly like what my plate looks like at Thanksgiving dinner, I craved one for months until I finally decided to get one. I tasted it, and may as well have gotten deep fried chicken rectum.

So no, I have no desire to let this "sandwich" come anywhere near me. KFC is dead to me. Dead.

It's like playing blackjack, risk a heart attack for a delicious meal. Hell, I'll take a fat, greasy, satisfying death any day :P
Get the van, we're going to Rhode Island.

And: That IS the white trashiest photo I've ever seen!

EDIT: I bet that's where they get the chickens from.

Cheese with beef sandwiched between pieces of bread, I can handle. If there's some lettuce pickle to cut through all that fat and oil, I can be swayed.

But chicken instead of bread? It sounds like they have too much fried chicken in their brains (and in the warehouse).
