((Feel free to ignore this until experience is added. I just want to get it down.))
((Updates are in red and the level 3 profile is in my sidebar. I changed the wording around in a few areas as well to make things sound better or less technical.))
Name: Amaril Torrun
Age: 77
Race: Half dragon
Appearance: Amaril stands at 6’7”, weighing 286 lbs. He has long, black, and unkempt hair that reaches below his shoulders. His eyes are a light, almost icy blue where a normal person’s eyes would be white. His iris and pupils are a darker shade of blue. Growing from his back are the two most unusual aspects of his appearance; things that have struck fear into some and caused unnecessary aggression in others. Erupting from his back are two eight foot long, five foot wide dark blue wings. Below this, he has a six foot long tail, with a sharp, arrowhead-like tip (but much larger) that has the same general strength as mythril. The tail is also coated in blue scales made up of the same material as the tip. Amaril clothes himself in nothing but a worn pair of leather pants, with rips in the knees and down the legs. He rarely attempts at covering his torso, as his wings are a significant obstacle. His skin is a dark tan, and almost every inch of his body is toned in muscle. He has also noticed that a few scales seem to be growing next to the elemental scale in the center of his chest. These scales have been growing in number and causing some irritation in the immediate area. This is due to the scales hardening to give some sort of protection. At the moment they are about as strong as iron and cover about half of his chest.
Personality: Amaril seems to have a sullen, yet noble personality. He rarely speaks to strangers and sometimes even friends. He dislikes random acts of violence and needs some form of explanation for why he would act in such a way. Self defense and helping others out of trouble are the normal kinds of explanations he uses. He has developed a strange attraction to prevalida metal, willing to go well out of his way to collect it. Though he still needs a good reason to get into a fight, he has found himself anticipating the thrill of battle. Amaril’s final actions before death were cowardly. He has also been going through a spiritual revolution with his newly found worship of the Draconian deities. There’s no telling how all this could change him.
History: Amaril doesn’t remember how or where he was born. As far back as he can remember, he has been orphaned and had to fend for himself. His odd appearance and structure account for nothing but a mixed relationship between his parents. He has heard that dragons can take the form of a human, and this is the only explanation he has for why he is the way he is.
Amaril raised himself in Raiaera, living off of wild animals and plant life. Visiting a few cities in those early years, he learned that people would look at him as a they would a monster for the rest of his life. Those ignorant people would run or even attack him for what he was. Because of this, he learned how to fight and defend himself.
He lived for years alone in the wild, waiting to waste away, but discovered that he had an extended lifespan due to his half-dragon blood. Deciding to make something of his life, he traveled to Corone, or more specifically Radasanth, a place he heard to be more accepting of the unnatural and full of opportunity.
Life in Radasanth has shown Amaril that people all over the world will view him differently. Once, while wandering the city streets, he was attacked, knocked unconscious and brought to an arena of some sort. Here he was forced to fight against a man named Madeus Maximus. The two knew they in some sort of illegal gladiator setting and decided to work together on an escape. Faking a fierce battle, they caught the gamblers unaware, killing anyone in their path. They escaped and Amaril learned that he would never be able to feel completely at ease while in a city.
Battling in the citadel as a form of training, Amaril met Kamikaze Zero whom he would adventure with quite a bit. One of these adventures, unplanned and quite unnatural, sent Amaril to the depths of the ocean. Sailing toward their destination with several other adventurers including Madeus Maximus and Kamikaze Zero, the boat ran into a giant whirlpool that sucked them to the ocean floor. They hit the ocean floor, destroying the boat, and they found themselves trapped. The ground was dry and they found a temple of some sort nearby. They agreed that there was no where else to go, and made their way to the temple. Bursting from the swirling walls of water and from the temple itself were mermen guardians, creating a vicious battle. Amaril’s group, victorious, made it into the temple and explored for a while before they had to fight a giant water elemental that brought almost everyone to the brink of death. Upon its death, it’s body disappeared and a small orb replaced it. This orb brought them to a deserted island, where they waited, luckily, for a passing ship to rescue them. During this disaster of a treasure seeking quest, Amaril heard for the first time, a voice that only he could hear and would yell for help at various times.
Growing even stronger, Amaril joined Kamikaze Zero, who seeked to kill a creature that plagued his mind. They met at the mouth of an underground ruin of some sort and battled hordes of creatures. Here, Amaril and Kamikaze Zero fought two separate and equal opponents. Kamikaze Zero fought a creature, who upon death turned out to be his mother and learned a powerful new ability. Amaril fought Kamikaze Zero’s mother’s guardian, a young dragon, slightly larger than the half-dragon and capable of breathing fire. Amaril killed the dragon, and almost died as well, but a scale from the dragon embedded itself in his chest. To this day, he believes the scale is what kept him alive.
The two companions signed up for a 2 vs. 2 tournament together, but Kamikaze Zero didn’t come to the first battle and Amaril never heard from his good friend again. Having created his first few relationships, only to lose them soon after, Amaril decided to move to Salvar, a place more suitable for living in his opinion. Here he would live in solitude in the area known as Sulgoran’s Axe.
Amaril never quite made it to Salvar. He allowed himself to be distracted by an odd request for help in Dheathain, a land he knew little about. Upon his ship’s arrival to the new continent, he was surprised to find the Draconian race, whom he appeared to have much in common. After going on a small hunt to assist a cowardly merchant, for the price of the man’s two daggers made of prevalida, he headed toward Donnalaich, where he met his newest employer.
The man was a crazed wizard claiming to need his help as well as a previous acquaintance named Banda Utaku. It was during this quest that Amaril finally solved the question behind the voice that had called out for his help on sever occasions. Trapped within Saffron’s lair, he found the dragon child named Naryx. With the dragon’s parents killed, the half-dragon adopted the baby as his own.
With something so precious to look after, he realized his nomadic lifestyle would be an unfit way to raise the dragon. Darith, a Draconian he met in Talmhaidh, offered to lead him to Suthainn. Eager for a place to settle down, and to learn more about the race he could very well be a part of, he agreed.
Amaril found peace in Suthainn. Although his discussions with an elder in the capital did little to prove his being a Draconian, he was still accepted there. Still sleeping in Darith’s home, he began to meet others that he could call friends, including a hunter named Daedan. Amaril spent some time figuring out how he could best make a living amongst the Draconians, considering becoming a merchant and sailing alongside Darith.
One day, in hopes of continuing to build upon his growing relationship with the Draconian race in general, he agreed to join Daedan, as well as two other warriors in a hunt for something killing an uncanny number of citizens just outside of Suthainn. What they came across was no mere animal, but a demonic ghoul, more than capable of dispatching the party of four. In an act of the ultimate cowardice, Amaril left his wounded allies behind, running for his life.
The demon, named Seth Dahlios, caught up to him just before he flew back up to the city. The demon’s true power showed in full bloom as he personally had Amaril atone for his sin of sacrificing his own friends to save his skin. The graveness of that sin was enough to kill Amaril, who has now come face to face with a goddess guardian of Seacht Riocht Sainmhiniu, the Draconian medium between the world of Althanas and their afterlife.
Equipment: Amaril carries two steel and two prevalida daggers, sheathed at his sides.
His prevalida long sword is six feet in length, but his large physical form has made it a fairly easy weapon to maneuver. He has developed a small admiration for the blue sword and keeps this sheathed on his back, in between his wings, where it would be extremely difficult for anyone else to reach.
Embedded in the center of his chest is powerful scale. He still doesn’t know enough about this magical item, retrieved from the corpse of the young red dragon, but it has given him some control over a few elements.
Abilities:
((Figured I should put these three in here, even though they aren’t anything out of the norm at the moment.))
Strength- Amaril is larger than most men and is pretty muscular from his life of traveling and adventure, causing him to be stronger than the average man. He has about the average strength of someone his size.
Agility- Seeing as how he kind of a hulking individual with wings and his tail getting in the way as well, he isn’t very agile. He has learned how to manage his weight and abnormalities to a degree, allowing him to have just below the average agility one would expect of a normal person.
Endurance- Amaril is average in all categories of endurance, be it feeling pain, or running long distances.
Immunity to the cold- Amaril was born with an immunity to cold weather because of his dragon father’s immunity. This immunity is against natural elements such as snow and ice. A freezing spell would still freeze him in place if that was its intent.
Weakness to Fire- If Amaril comes in contact with the smallest of fires, he literally begins to melt from the inside. A campfire, for example would kill him if he sat next to it (with the same distance as a normal camper would) for ten minutes. If being burned, he begins to lose metal control, possibly forgetting that he needs to get away from the fire. This is due to the icy characteristic that courses through his blood.
Flight- Amaril is capable of flying for extended periods of time in good weather, and limited flight during poor weather conditions, such as rainstorms with small gusts of wind. During a blizzard, hurricane, or something of that magnitude however, he is in even more danger than a normal person because the wind will catch under his wings and fling him in any way nature desires. Amaril’s wings have continued to grow in strength, allowing him to carry one person up to two miles, and two people for slightly lesser distances with still enough energy to fight if needed.
Ice Breath- Amaril can spit ice darts from his mouth, each six inches in length. They are essentially the same as his daggers, with the advantage of unpredictability and the disadvantage of melting. They take about half a minute to make, so he needs to plan ahead a bit if he wants to use them. Spitting these darts cost him some dehydration with each one. With the old adage that a person needs nine glasses of water a day, it would be safe to assume spitting more than nine darts in a day could cause some problems. He can also breathe a freezing breath to about one arm length in front of him. At the moment it could cause some skin deep frostbite, but someone would have to stand in the way for a longer period of time for it to have a greater effect. The breath can last up to two minutes, almost reaching the bone if the target stands in place.
Weapon Proficiency- Amaril continues to use his daggers as effectively, and his distance while remaining accurate has grown to 25 yards. While he’s still learning, he has become quite skilled with his long sword, capable of holding his own against swordsmen of an above average skill level.
The Elemental Scale- Amaril is slowly gaining control of elements.
Level elemental abilities/ hindrances:
-Ice- Amaril was already half-ice dragon, giving him an innate immunity to the natural cold, along with some control over the element. The scale has made his ice darts slightly harder, to the strength of steel [color], and he now feels when frozen in place even though he won’t feel any pain coming from that cold. He can now manipulate chunks of ice and snow of about [color=red] five feet in size at once, but too slowly to be effective in a typical battle.
-Wind- Amaril can blow things 50 lbs or lighter away for a distance of 20 feet. He is also slightly more capable of flight because of this.
-Fire- Amaril is now capable of thought while being burned, but his weakness remains the same.
-Earth- Amaril has gained the ability to manipulate the dirt around him. He can only move about a handful of dirt, or a small pebble or two, through the air at a slow pace.
-Lightning- Coming into contact with Naryx for the first time triggered this aspect of his elemental scale, and he is now feeling some sort of static when emotional.

Name: Naryx
Race: Baby Dragon
Gender: Male
Appearance: He’s about two feet in length with a similar length in tail. He weighs about forty pounds. His tail and body are covered in golden yellow scales that haven’t quite hardened yet. His small wings are still developing and he is unable to use them for anything except to trip himself.
Personality: Naryx is turning out to be a pretty light-hearted individual and has enjoyed making fun of Amaril’s misgivings. His favorite past time is napping. His laziness has slowed the process of growing his atrophied muscles, but he is close to a full recovery. With Amaril’s death though, there’s no telling how the young dragon may change.
Status Update: With Amaril’s death, Naryx might stay in Darith’s care, or he could be sent away to the dragon colony in the nearby mountains.
Abilities:
Naryx is capable of breathing electricity, though his shocks are just a small annoyance to most people. It does hardly more than distract someone for a moment.
((Something I forgot to mention in my last update, but is critical to story reference.)) He communicates through telepathy in the same way that others would speak out loud. At the moment he can only use this telepathy to dwell on Amaril’s thoughts and no one else’s, as he is still young and developing. His ability to read into Amaril is only because of their strengthening bond and Amaril’s allowance of Naryx to do so.
