Name: Damion Shargath
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Age: 26
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 160 pounds
Hair: Dark Brown
Eyes: Pale Grey

Appearance:

Damion Shargath has earlobe-long mahogany brown hair, which is usually windblown to the back of his head. His face is deceptive, if wishing to he will portray an attractive young man, you think couldn’t imagine in his wildest dreams the wickedness that actually lies within. Nevertheless, if not bothering to divulge in trickery – or seen in shadowing illumination, menacing grins and bane stares dishevel the brutal scars running down his face. The largest of them streaks directly beside his left eye, a reminder of the past.

His upper body is clad in plain, normal, extremely cheap iron chain mail. Covering the cheap iron shirt though, is a high quality multi-plate armor of osmium which is coated in a thin layer of silver. The full torso armor is separated into a multitude, if not a myriad, of separate plates to supply necessary agility for Damion’s style of combat. His shoulders and arms are also covered by the osmium armor except for miniscule spots between shoulder pad and the continuation of the arm protection – gauntlet-like. His legs do not carry as heavy a protection. They are only clad by osmium thigh guards and burgundy linen trousers which “poof” outwards somewhat like pilot-pants before dipping into the knee/shin guards connecting to the osmium boots. The bottom of the Damion Shargath’s glinting osmium boots is another masterpiece of craftsmanship. Around both the ankle and metatarsus the boot once again turns into an astoundingly brilliant yet small section of multi-plating. The hard leather sole of his boot has been melded and fused to the metal – once more supplying maximum maneuverability for one in such armor.

Beneath his armor Damion Shargath poses to have extremely well defined muscles. Large, strong, and bulky enough to support his armor – yet nimble, slender, and agile enough to allow his very individual style of combat, which is quite the unorthodox yet very effective way to handle a halberd.

Personality:

At first sight one would describe Damion as aloof, intense, impulsive, competitive, devious, cruel, gruesome and wicked. They wouldn’t be going wrong in their assumptions. He is extremely intelligent yet always ready to laugh almost hysterically at the weaknesses of others without taking his own into perspective – whereas his biggest weakness would probably be the overestimation of his own capabilities. There are practically no limits to his inhumane cruelty, as he seems not to have any bounds that tie him to the slightest ethic or moral norm. Not only has he grown to hate his past, he has with time grown to resent absolutely everyone. The hate within him has spread like an ulcer, transforming him into an unaccountable animosity. He regards everyone as inferior, not accrediting them of seeing the larger scheme in things but moreover of utter stupidity and inferiority. Gaining his trust is either fate or incredible luck, no one would likely last long enough to earn his liking. Reasons for this behavior can be found within his history.

It is in battle where one may be able to somewhat judge the maniacal whirlwind with a halberd. If throwing hail-winds of insults, Damion feels assured, comfortable, and sure of victory – unless he knows that his opponent knows of this weakness, he then bends this feature to his advantage. If on the other hand he is absolutely mute, and simply hacking and swinging his way towards his adversary, then that adversary should be extremely versed in combat. He falls into a trance where killing his current adversary is like one step on a fleet of a hundred stairs. His only wish is to dispatch of his opponent without the slightest of gimmicks, in order to move on to his next victim. Though there can never be a guarantee for these estimations.

Aside from the aforementioned clearly negative traits, he can be quite the contradictory character. Damion Shargath’s most precious talents lie within the field of combat, be it the actual and direct exchange of hits or the development of a larger strategy. A true master of improvisation come it to that. Though, when dwelling in his home he is often found sharpening his skills at peaceful activities. Cooking, writing/reading, painting, sculpting, herbalism and even playing the piano, all hobbies but at the same time definite things one would never expect to see this man do. His intellectual understanding is most impressive, but not many are granted the experience of it. He goes by the alias of “Archon Blightwel” when publishing his paintings, not to mention that Archon Blightwel is one of the most renown artists in the country of Salvar. Several of his works can be found in the abodes of Salvar’s lords and nobles. Their prices on the market are beyond that what any lesser noble could ever hope to possibly afford. Yet those of true grandeur remain solely on the walls of his mansion, hidden deep in the reaches of north Salvar. Damion is certainly not one to satisfy himself with the second best, he aims to achieve the highest goals – and will not stop until he has reached them. A true perfectionist and gourmet, even though it seems all but so at first glance.

More than any other regional conditions he enjoys the frosty temperatures, the crisp fresh air, and the isolation Salvar provides whilst detesting the heat found within the many other countries of Althanas.

A catch phrase could be:
“You are inferior, die!”

Grudges/Anathemas:
(…against) The Church of the Ethereal Sway, Thayne.

Items:

- A pack of cigarettes (Salvic Superior) + matches.
- A thin deck of cards, the pictures on these are rather ominous and intimidating to people who are not all too fascinated by the art of battle and it’s sometimes extremely cruel ways and endings.

In Storage:
- Globes of Taint (Project: Vitaria Malus, see signature link [Hate])
Currently owns 2 of 5

Weapons:

Gräuel (abhorrence/anathema). This weapon – plus armor - cost Damion a sum of exactly twenty-five thousand gold pieces, correspondingly high is its quality. The halberd consists fully of osmium and stretches to a complete length of circa 6’8” – the blade being 1’4” of that length (somewhat shorter than the average halberd for increased maneuverability). The blade itself is the finest piece of crafting on this pole-arm, as its edge is fully of serrated black diamond. Something to most certainly mention is also, that the actually expected blunt side of the blade is all but harmless, for from it protrude a pair of slightly curved spikes – also of finely serrated black diamond. Receiving a wound from this weapon inevitably causes its victim to bleed quickly and profusely…

[B]Magic:

“Is for the inferior ones!“

Skills:

*Masterful Halberd Handling – The fact that Damion Shargath has never cared to attune himself to sorcerous skills whatsoever, he has had the opportunity to undergo specific close combat training (not only hand to hand, but also…) with his halberd. Many years of training have made him a true master at handling his halberd.

*Increased Physical Capacity – As aforementioned above, Damion has never taken the time to attune to magical abilities, thus resulting in the constant training of those physical. He will jump higher, run faster, react faster, and prove to be physically stronger than the average warrior. Another result of this training are slightly heightened senses, those are but by no means equally strong to those of your average elven creature.

*High Endurance – Damion can sprint for an extremely long time before showing slightest hints of fatigue, even with his armor on and halberd in hand, this gives him the opportunity to set the pace in battles most of the time. (Proportional to Level)

*Falter Resistance – Damion Shargath’s mind appears to be a book with seven seals (translated expression, German: Ein Buch mit Sieben Siegeln). A mind that with each passing thought and killing grows more complex. It is even a great difficulty for those mighty of the necessary powers to read his mind – let alone influence it with mind affecting/confusing or vision blurring spells or other such things that result in a confused status. When fighting he always keeps a clear, cold, and calculating mind– outbursts of rage being often a deception, always ready to spring back into action and tear his opponent apart if he/she expects no further resistance due to such mental dishevelment.
(Resistance at level 5 – extremely likely to resist mind affecting spells or objects.)

*High Pain Tolerance – Damion has a rather high pain tolerance, simply meaning he can take more pain than the usual warrior norm. He won’t seem unaffected when something cuts a gash into his stomach and such, but he appears completely unaffected by a punch square in the face or a hard jab in the side. Cuts he can take without a flinch, but when it begins to gash, he will like any other, withdraw slightly, maybe not just as fast as he can suppress pain rather well. (Proportional to Level – The higher his level, the more pain he can take, the more devastating a wound can be. Yet the loss of any extremity will cause him to recoil like any other being.)

**Unholy Rage – This is a status similar to trance, that Damion falls into if he is angered immensely or wounded greatly. His physical attributes multiply in a sense sheer unthinkable to any normal human being. With ease Damion Shargath will be enabled to smash and drive his fist through objects of very dense (hard) material. Damion’s reflexes and speed also enhance immensely, basically his entire physical aspect multiplies itself for a certain amount of time. Additionally his entire body becomes numb, blending out all sorts of sensory and pain. The downside of awakening from this fit of rage when being wounded greatly is that he will then feel the full effect of his wounds, if not [B]double, just as any other human. This means that his abnormal pain tolerance will be void. The result of this could possibly even be fatal/mortal depending on the dimension/extent of the damage done to his body.
Characteristic Information:
- Damion’s eyes become glazed with some sort of mucky fluid, almost pitch black of color when he becomes the victim of his rage. Another thing that will increase is his thirst for blood(shed) and his drive for violence which will result in the favoring of using his own body to butcher and dispose of his opponent rather than using his primary weapon, the halberd.
Specific Information:
- Example of Power: Under the effect of “Unholy Rage” Damion Shargath is able to smash/break/tear apart a tier 5 metal with ease. (Power linked with Level)
- Duration: Five posts. (Duration linked with Level)

Duration and power both increase proportionally with each gained level.

Notes:
(*) = Passive Ability
(**) = Circumstantial Ability

- Damion does not possess a single, truly magical ability. Thus his physical abilities are to be considered above average.

History:

The information acquired through a cleric of the Church of Ethereal Sway

“[Damion had been born a destined servant to the royal army of Salvar’s monarchy. His childhood was a stale routine of daily indoctrination by the church of Ethereal Sway, followed by disciplinarian and physical training. Not much is known of his parents, as he too was taken from them after the nourishment from his mother ended. This leads to the assumption that they, at most, might have been lesser nobles – and at least wealthier peasants with a firm belief.

As we know from some scholastic systems that split up into different branches, it is no different in the Church of Ethereal Sway. Superiors and teachers had decided to place Damion in a program for the more talented, though not initially for his belief in the Church itself, but more for the physical potential he already had as a young boy. His first combat experience he had gained in the smashing of a tribal resistance force within the city.

A small account of only ten men, of whom the surviving three had been imprisoned and later executed. This happened every once in a while, when individualists and liberals had attempted to putsch the monarchy. Occasionally a larger group, but all of these incidents posed as good opportunities for the Church of Ethereal Sway to see how far their little seedlings would go to defend “their” beliefs.

At the age of 21 Damion was sent on a special assignment north-east of Knife’s Edge, towards the great icy plains. He, and the rest of his “Purifier Force” had been ordered to dispatch of another tribal resistance force in the north. They were to,

“Investigate this region for Tainted ones. If they dare surface and graze under the glorious Salvic sky, cleanse the land of these feeble heretics. Eradicate the speck of dirt that dares to insult the Ethereal Sway. Burn their homes, kill their warriors, dispatch of all that give resistance to the Truth. Bring back those that survive, they are to undergo an inquisition so that their spirits may be cleansed to absolute purity, like that of out holy Church.”

The “Purifier Force” was a group of no more than 6 warriors that had undergone and intense doctrine of the Church of Ethereal Sway. He was to lead this force. Damion had undergone years of intense combat training and tactical warfare within the military bases scattered about Knife’s Edge.]”

Currently Damion is following one path. A path that yet remains a larger bite than he could chew. Honing his skills with menial travels through-out the world, finding out more about his past, piecing together the hideous schemes of Salvar’s religious lead, until one day he aims to destroy the monarchy of the Church of the Ethereal Sway.

Unholy rage is really strong, but since it has drawbacks and doesn't last forever, I'm going to approve it. However, I'm making a note now that in the future the "power raises with level" is going to have to be amended since if you hit level 8 and you can tear through tier 8 metal, that's a bit much... lol

Approved.
