The day was long and the weather was hot. It was just before sun set and the heat was starting to die down as he was steping off the ferry in corone....... He was hungry and was looking for a tavern that he could get a good meal at.
As he steped off the ferry, he took a good look around and noticed a few things that caught his attintion. Things like the worriers and rogues and archers that were getting on and off the ferry, and the many groups of muggers and thiefs that were scooting out for some thing to steal from one of the many shops, an even the group of kids that were off to the side of the streets playing with wooden sowrds, daggers, and shields as they pretended to be worriers fighting against the enimies of the land. That made him curl up his lips into a grin.
As he was walking down the board walk he found a tavern called "The Leviathan" it seemed like a good place to grab some food so he went for it. As he walked up to the door he could hear raised voises and glass breaking but he still continued to walk, as he was getting ready to walk through the door a man got thrown through the window and then a dwarf jumped out and put a knife to the guys throat and started saying something that he could not understand.
He walked into the tavern and went to a table in the back and sat down. A young lady walked up and asked "What may I get for you sir?" She looked like she was alil scared of something. "Some chicken and bread if that would be ok." he replied.
As she walked away he looked around the tavern and noticed a large group of dwafs that all had the same tatoo on there wrists. It was some kind of insignia that did'nt look like it was justful or vertuous. the dwaf that jumped out the window as he walked in had the same insignia on his wrist. As he sat there waitig for his meal, he put his feet up on the other chair and pulleed a pipe and some tobaco and smoked some.
The young lady returned with his food and a glass of wine. Before she could walk away he grabed her hand and ask "Who are those dwafs over there?" She looked at him and said "I cant talk about that." and then she walked away.
He sat there, eating his food and and paying close attintion to the dwafs as they sat over in there conner hollering at the girls as they walked by and was just disrepectful of every one in there. They sat there and started fights with the innocent and hit the children as they walked by.
4saykin finished his meal and just sat there for a few hours watching the dwafs. After they had left and the tavern was almost empty he walked up to the bar and asked the tavern manager "excuse me sir, but I was just woundering who that group of dwafs were that were inhere earlier?" the tavern manager looked at him and said "Those dwafs are the most irritating group that has ever came in here, they showed up in town about year ago and never left." "Do you know why they came here?" 4saykin asked and the man just shook his head and replied "I dont know why they came here, but i do know that they are vial, disgusting, and rude. They have no respect of for others, and they are abusive to the woman that work here." As 4saykin sat there talking to the tavern owner and pondered what he was told about the dwafs he realized that he wanted to know mor about these dwafs. he asked the tavern owner "Is there anything else that you can tell me about these dwafs?" the tavern owner said "sorry, but no." Before the tavern manager could turn back to what he was doing 4saykin asked " are there any rooms available?" the tavern manager handed him a room key and asked "Is that going to be for just one night?" he replied "I am not sure, I will let you know tomarrow."

The Leviathan stood in front of the mutant as if beckoning for him to partake of its darker wares. Standing on the street for a moment, people moved to and from the tavern/inn in a wave of movement. Someone was thrown through a window, and a large Dwarf traveled immediately after the individual who was thrown through. As a member of the Corone Armed Forces, it was the mutant's job to assist with civil disobedience. Acting as a cadet of Corone's Royal Academy, the mutant was running courier duties from place to place and the latest run lead him through to Serenti.

One of the larger taverns in Serenti, the Leviathan was rumored to house all sorts of shadowy folk. The specters and scum of the underworld that wanted to conduct business in shady places.

Lorenor looked at the Dwarf that stabbed the man just then.

In a moment, the Dwarf stood up, cleaned his weapon and robbed the man blind. He turned to look at Lorenor for a long moment, as if daring the mutant to proceed forward. Then, the Dwarf walked towards Lorenor, pushed past him and entered the tavern. Feeling a certain sense of anger in his heart, Lorenor turned to look at the Dwarf for a long moment. His eyes were narrowed thinly and he looked for recognizable features of the Dwarf.

As a specimen, he did not have the markings of Dwarves from the Comb Mountains. The Dwarf wore all black armor, and looked like he was heavily armed. Seeing a strange nimbus (Aura) around the Dwarf, the mutant felt a certain pull to the stranger.

Walking inside of the tavern a few moments later, Lorenor noticed that there was a large group of them. They were causing trouble in the tavern, and the mutant knew that he had reason to act. This tavern was apparently not under the jurisdiction of the Corone Armed Forces, but, seemed like it was a Syndicate establishment. Someone placed a powerful hand on the mutant's well-structured chest. Lorenor looked up at the individual and saw that it was a man wearing a dark-gray suit which was the mark of the Syndicate.

"You're not welcome here, guard." The agent said calmly, but with a hint of acid in his voice.

"Take your hand off me or I will remove it." Lorenor threatened. "You're in my way, and I am not here for you or your kind." Lorenor stared at the agent with a dangerous expression on his face.

A waitress walked over to the two gentlemen sensing that another fight was about to start.

"Now, now boys. There is no Civil War here. Please keep your fighting outside on the streets."

The agent turned towards the lady for a moment.

"Tch. I had no interest in this one anyway. The monster's probably not worth the effort. He may pass."

"That's what I thought." Lorenor responded. He entered the tavern slowly, stared at the Dwarves for a long moment, and took a seat at an empty table. It was nearby to the position of Seth.

"What will it be mi'lord?" The waitress asked of Lorenor.

Turning to look at the girl, Lorenor nodded casually.

"Some orange juice will be fine. I'd also like grilled boar meat, and Jadet fried rice." Lorenor added. He was especially hungry, so he would make sure to feed adequately. His eyes traveled across the patrons in the room as he waited for his meal. Keeping his wits about himself, he noticed that all of the Dwarves had that same, strange nimbus. Several of them were staring at Lorenor as well.

While Seth is sitting and waiting for his food, He notices the confritation between Lorenor and the agent. He thinks nothing of it, he just sits there and smokes his pipe while watching the dwaves.....
He notices that Lorenor is watching them as well and begins to wonder if lorenor is a valient soul.He guess that he is by how much attintion he is paying to the group of dwarves. While the group of dwaves proceed to make nothing but trouble for those who walk pass them seth sees that pne of them looks much older then the others. So he guess that he is the one in charge and that if things were toget to far outa hand then he is the one that seth shold have a word with.......
After awhile, the waitress returns with his food and asks "Is there anything ielse I can do you mi'lord?"

"Yes madom, is there anything you can tell me about that group of dwaves over there in that cornor" Seth asked

She looked at him and replied "No mi'lord, I do appologize."

"Please, do not appologize, you have done nothing wrong." Seth said with a sincere look in hes eyes.

Seth could tell that this young lady had a pure heart and that she was afraid of something, something that she would not speak of. He tried asking one of the other waitress, and got a different reply...... The other waitess was truly scared of the dwaves, Seth could tell by the way she told him that she dont want to talk about it.

Seth sat there and enjoyed his meal as the dwarves impropper behaivor continued. the whole time he had his dagger sitting out on the table incase something got started and he to get involved.
After he finshed his meal, heput his dagger back in its seith and he picked up his pipe back up and began smoking what was left of the tobaco that was in it.
The whole time, not once removinghis focus from the dwaves.

He sees Lorenor paying jst as cose attintion to the dwaves as well.

Whenever women walked into the tavern or waitresses walked by, the odious Dwarves would grab at them. Several women sat on the laps of the Dwarves against their will. They were being groped and man-handled. Several of the girls were screaming for help but nobody came.

In fact, Lorenor didn't really care about the fact that the Dwarves were a group of miscreants. What he cared about was that the Dwarves were disturbing the general peace and relative calm on the Corone streets. As a member of the Corone Armed Forces, the mutant needed to concern himself with the well-being of others. He didn't really care about other people, but he cared about his job. The Empire paid Lorenor well for doing his job. At what point did I become a lap-dog? The mutant wondered, but quickly shook that thought aside.

The Syndicate agents posted in the tavern allowed things to go on. In the Syndicate establishment, the mutant stood out like a sore thumb. Why am I here of all places? Lorenor thought to himself. Shaking his head, the mutant could not help but stare at the Dwarves. His food arrived, but then so did a Syndicate agent as well. The mutant's hand went over to the handle of his weapon.

"That won't be necessary." The agent said. "I am here to inform you that your life is probably in danger." He added.

Lorenor stared with a sharp expression at the man. "Look asshole, I'd appreciate it if your people learned how to mind their own business. I am just sitting here having a meal."

The man frowned. He had a sharp forehead, a slender nose, and brown eyes. He had an average warrior's build and wore a suit. His hair was tightly cropped and spiky. Staring at him through the antifirmanent, the mutant was capable of seeing a brilliant halo that shown through the gray world. Seeing all the minor details of the man, Lorenor assessed that he could take him in a fight should one break out.

"Fair enough." The agent concluded. "Your movements are being watched, don't try anything funny."

"If I were you, I'd remember what happened last time your Syndicate goons attempted to mess with me. I was a Red Hand member then. I'm a member of the Corone Armed Forces now."

With that, Lorenor stood up and drew his prevalida sword. "Your establishment or not, you goons are still criminals and still hunted by the Empire." Lorenor said displaying great bravado.

Taken aback by the mutant's actions, the Syndicate agent stepped back for a moment, absolutely shocked by the display. Then, his face became stoic and the man stared at Lorenor. With a sudden laugh, the agent clapped loudly.

"You've got balls for someone so small." The agent said. "We're keeping our eyes on you."

"Whatever you say." Lorenor said in response, then, he sheathed his weapon and sat back down.

Being a member of the Corone Armed Forces, Lorenor was a guard. He was entitled to arrest and detain criminals until his superiors showed up. The mutant was still a low-ranking officer, but one day he'd be a general. With his guard up, Lorenor went back to his food so that he could eat in peace. A part of him suspected that his food might be poisoned. When he didn't smell any, or detect any as far as his abilities allowed him to, the mutant decided that the food was probably safe. He began to eat slowly, but still watched the Dwarves' movements. If they got too out of hand, the mutant would engage as the laws of the Empire would force his hand.
