The Hummel are angry, they are roused to war and prevention. The transgressions of the Deathlords can go unnoticed no more, they must act against a foreseen deed before a scar is inflicted on Althanas that not even the World Snake can devour and crush. They must prevail.

It is growing dark, and dusk provides a blanket of cover for the vanguard to examine their chosen battlefield. A great road running through an open and wide valley is often used by warring folk to travel about the lands, and it is a point here that the Loremasters have chosen to attack. There is a great forest three hundred feet to the right, a dense canopy of mahogany and oak. To the left a great plain, dry and arid and stricken by lightning. Hills on the distant flanks form the valley walls, and taper off to the North and South in two narrow passes.

Along such a pass, a deathlord's army is marching, a vast host congregating with other such forces for some final battle and push the Hummel care little for. The prophecy shown to them by the Magister Illiar is one of summoning, of contractual obligations and a sealing of Fates. The Deathlord at the front of the army will attempt, on this site, to summon a dark daemon of terrible power. Something will go awry, some destruction will be wrought in the daemon's ascension from the hells, and the scar will never fade. For so long the Hummel have simply cleaned up the mistakes of Althanas's many races. The Deathlords have called them to arms, no longer can they be the Architects of healing. Who knows what untold disasters will be wrought by the selfish pursuit of magic in this 'Xem'Und's' name?

The army must be stopped. The future of Althanas is the Hummel's to guard, and they will do so at all cost. The war in has gone on too long, and Cydnar Yrene has found himself a captain of the Hummellian Elite, of the avenging angel that will rise from the earth and ambush this new and unknown enemy.

Welcome! This is a call out for someone to be at the head of the Deathlord army that is marching along the valley. We will follow Gisela Army battle rules with some minor tweaks I'm still working on. Essentially, the Hummell wil be an elite force, but outnumbered 2:1. Our objective and goal is to prevent your Death Lord or his cadre of mages from summoning whatever great daemon you desire. If you are successful, and fend off the Hummel attack, you will deliver a strong force and great power to the forces of darkness, but if you lose, your final front against the Bladesingers will be missing one of it's armies.

Not looking for rapid posts, as I've got heavy involvement in the FQ with two other characters, so once a week would be fine. Anyone interested, let me know, we can work out fine details and set-up armies once we have a clearer idea!

EDIT: P.S, It's Duffy :p

I'd be interested in writing with you. Not exactly sure what the Hummell is... or the storyline for it all though.

As long as there is no colored text... :p

Hehe. The Hummell are the race Cydnar is from, they protect Althanas by healing damage done to it through magic. They travel around healing battlefields and rebuilding mountains and the like; think of them as dark elves with a hint of paladin/shaman. All in all they'd have standard swordsmen, lots of mages, healers and two or so very strong mages, but no archers, war machines or guns etc.

I will drop the purple especially for you, although bare in mind I'm writing too quickly and hastily at the minute, so I'd want to take time to respond and really hammer out the kinks to try and get an elusive 70 score (a boy can dream :p).

Well, I have a plan for how and why Task, of all people, would be heading a group for Xem'Zund... at least I think that's who it's for.

Well, she's up. (http://althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=19948) Army force pm'd, and I hope I've not taken too many liberties in setting the scene, planned for one more post after this and then let's keep it clean (dirty) tense (fun!) and let's have a good time!

You need to post one more before I start? Is that what you meant? Because if that's the case, then I could easily post my opening, which could stand apart for the reason for why he's in this, and then we could easily both start into it.

Sorry I meant post one more before armies meet so to speak, so shoot with your intro. My mind fails me sometimes, it really does!
