Name: Artur Al'Rand
Age: 18
Race: Lycan
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Gold
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 189 lbs
*Occupation: Woodsman, guide, fur merchant

*Personality: He is distant and seems uncaring, but cares greatly for those close to him. Because of who he is, though, he has difficulty showing it. He is reliable in a fight, but prefers to talk his way out of them before he sheds blood. He has issues with just straight humans because they have let him down far too many times, but he is still capable of trusting them if they prove themselves to him. He is just fine with animas and hybrids, and will go out of his way to protect them, because he feels a kinship with them. He is intelligent, but slow and careful, because carelessness has hurt too many people. An excellent strategist, he prefers to plan before going into battle, unless he can see a way to avoid a fight altogether and still win. When it is necessary to get into a hand to hand fight, he does not analyze, he goes on instinct alone, and can be rather fierce. He is a natural born leader, having been bitten by the alpha of the first pack he joined.

Appearance: He has four forms. They are as follows: Human, Half Lycan, Lycan, and Wolf. In his human form, he is as described above, at six foot two, and a hundred and eighty nine pounds. He has many scars from his life with the wolves and others of his kind, because he is a natural alpha, and many tried to challenge him. His half lycan form is six feet nine inches tall, at two hundred pounds, the scars all but invisible. He is covered in grey fur dappled in blacks and whites. His chest is a bright, snow white. His hair hangs down to his waist, and is jet black. He has a hint of a muzzle in this form, and claws, similar in hardness to iron, but fairly sharp. He can't punch throuh ,say, leather armor, but he could definitely rend through it. Due to the bluntness of his claw tips, his slash is more painfull than a normal slash. His tail hangs down to mid calves.
His lycan form is over seven feet tall and with the same coloration as his half lycan form. His head appears to be that of a wolf, with a longer tail. Other than that, this form is identical to his half lycan form. He still has hands in this form, but they are more clumsy than in human or half lycan form. He can still wield a sword, but he returns to a semi-beginner status because of the stiffness of his paw/hands. He can not use his bow because of the drop in manual dexterity, and would have extreme difficulty handling his belt knife.
In his wolf form, he appears to be a large timber wolf with identical coloration to his lycan and half lycan form. In this form, his clothes and equipment meld into his body, becoming completely useless, but a part of him. When he shifts back, though, they return to the exact state they were in before.

History: He was bitten as a small child, and was thrown out of his house by his parents. He has wandered ever since, hunting for food, and running with different packs until the present day.

Skills: He is average with his bow, slightly above average with his claws, below average with his sword and knife, and can shift at will into his lycan, half lycan, and wolf forms. He can complete two full transformations between meals(IE from human to wolf and back) without becoming exhausted and needing to rest and eat. He can perform one more full transformation, but will need to rest in that form for a full thirty minutes(No strenuous activity like running or fighting) but can still walk or ride for this time, before he can do anything else without collapsing from the exhaustion. He is average in respect to his hiding, but only when using his cloak.

Equipment: steel long sword, oak composite short bow, steel knife.
Pendant from his parents, Ring of the Alpha(a ring given to the alpha of a werewolf pack to identify him to others of his kind. No special powers. Yet…), Cloak of the Woodlands(Appears to be a green cloak when not worn, but when worn, seems to shift colors, making it difficult for somebody to pick him out in the forest, or in some form of shadows. Anyone that is really searching will still see him, but if he is still, and they glance over him, he will not be seen. May level up with him later.) given to him by the alpha of his first pack(the one that bit him), and made of a thickly woven cotton thread, much like a traveling cloak.

Alrighty. Welcome to Althanas.

Lycan chars are always a blast to read because of the conflicts that always seem to happen within themselves. With that said, let's discuss some of the points regarding your profile that we need to work on before I can approve it.

First, I can allow for either the bow or sword or knife to be average, but not all three. The other two can be "slightly below average" skills. I'll let you choose which is average. It would be good for balancing purposes to list the metal equivalent of his claws, such as iron or steel, and the relative sharpness (dull, slightly sharp, sharp, etc).

Also, it would be good to explain that in full wolf form he cannot wield his sword, knife, or bow. In lycan form I'm going to assume the same might also be true, but will let you correct me if I am wrong there.

Does he have claws in half-lycan form as well, or only in wolf and lycan forms?

And finally, one minor thing I'd like you to add in for balance's sake. I do not mind him being able to change between the forms at will, however, I would like to see some duration span between the changes for now. In other words, it could be written off as there is a lot of energy required of him to shift between forms, for the time being, and therefore can only shift once every thread or every four or five posts. Perhaps if he tries to shift more often it wears him down so much that his skill with his weapons and claws drops to well-below average and his speed and agility are reduced to that of a tired and worn out human.

Just some ideas and things that I see that need to be balanced out for the sake of Althanas, and to ensure you meet with the best possible writing experience this site can offer.

It hath been done, My Leige. Sorry about all of the major changes. The version I posted was the original one I had saved on my hard drive. The version posted now is the one I had been editing since I came up with this idea, and was saved on my flash drive. I had thought that was the one that had been posted. Obviously I was wrong.

I like the adjustments so far. Thank you.

One minor thing, the Cloak is made of standard cloth, for now, and you need to include it in the skills section as his ability to avoid detection is an ability even if it's derived from equipment.

We'll say he's average at avoiding detection when wearing the cloak, such as a newbie thief might be in hiding among the shadows.

His claws can be reasonably sharp, for iron, but not piercing sharp. In other words, the very tips are slightly dull (this does cause more pain, but also prevents piercing as opposed to slicing which he can do to leathers and hides normally).
