OOC: Since I have every confidence my spoils in my last thread will be approved, I'm going ahead with this. I'm going to use a location out of the ordinary.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
IC: It was a quiet day in Abys Symal, capital city of The Abyss.
The shopkeeper, a remarkably handsome devil in every since of the word, leaned against his counter. Not many demons were needing clothes today, and it seemed as though it would be a full day of monotony.
He spied four potential customers heading his way, straightening up. He doubted it'd be anything interesting, probably an in and out transaction. His jaw hit the floor when he realized he was in the presence of three of The Seven Deadly Sins, Wrath, Pride, and Lust. He didn't recognize the fourth one, though he was certain he should, they didn't travel with just anyone.
"Alright baby sis, this is, as we promised, the finest Tailor in all of Abys Symal, if he can't help you, then you'll just have to run around naked like me." Lust said to the fourth member of the group.
Baby sis? He'd heard Lord Xith'rith'xail had an eighth child, but knew little else. If they thought she was their sister, he'd better at least pretend she was.
Lust smiled as she caught the shopkeeper trying to sneak a peak and see if she really was naked. She'd have to come back later and show him.
"I am NOT going to run around naked. Sir, I've just finished going through some of the demonic rites, to fix errors present at my birth, like being half angel. Now that I am as I should be, I need clothes appropriate to my body type.
According to my better known brothers and sisters, it should be seductive, comfortable, relaxing, opulent, inspire a sense of jealousy in others, armored for combat yet light enough to not weigh me down, and it should be flattering enough to enhance my beauty. To put it simply, it should be reminiscent of all seven deadly sins. I shall require undergarments, the actual clothes, and footwear. I prefer the color black, with bits of gold and silver, but I'm open to suggestion. I only ask that you keep it under or around 400 gold, not that I couldn't borrow some from my sister, Greed, but, well, she did invent Loan Sharking after all. Also, it must accomidate my tail and wings, but that's why we're here in Abys Symal, and not burning one of those filthy human shops down for it. I know a fellow demon will accommodate our natural body features, even if my wings are of the larger than average type my family is known for." Calbrena said. She was tired of keeping her wings wrapped around her for decency.
The shopkeeper was not stunned to see yet another naked or half-naked demon wandering in, looking for clothing like those of the humans. It was sickening to the demon, being one that believed in his standing as a demon was inherently something that came with the ability to do whatever he wanted. But, making money was just as important to a demon as it was to a human, so he would have to deal with the people as they came.
“Gold and silver trim, eh?” The shop-keep turned tailor looked over the body of the woman and then tapped a clawed hand to his chin. “Full clothing, with a bit of trim on the clothing, and yet you want it to be armored? That presents the pickle. Or however it’s said by those humans. I could get you a duster, or regular trench coat to go over a thin layer of clothing. The boots would be thick leather, and the duster or coat would be as well, which would provide a bit of protection from small blades. The seductive, sultry part of the outfit would be the… ‘shirt’ and ‘shorts’, which are going to be minimal at best. All of that would put you at about 175 gold. Of course, we could put some thin plating in the coat to add more armor, steel plates would put it at 250, and Delyn plates would put you at 400 gold. They are just thin plates, and they don’t overlap, so small gaps and possibility of breaking them or bludgeoning them into your side… that’s always there.”
The demon looked at the winged woman with a smile. “Whatcha say?”
Calbrena thought about it.
"Instead of shorts, what if it was a skirt, a mini at that?" she asked.
Then a second later, she added, "All that does include the undergarments, right?"
"Undergarments?" The demon half-scoffed and half-laughed. If she wasn't a demon, he would have expected a blush from such a beautiful woman talking about undergarments with a complete stranger. "Well, if it's an absolute must. Mini-skirts are possible, though with the tail it makes it a bit difficult to keep that from being... indecent. Undergarments aren't meant to be worn with that type of outfit, or so I thought."
The demon shop-keeper smirked and winked at the woman before sighing. "A mini with undergarments can be changed and added without making you pay any more on the purchase. Would you like the plating added to the coat? Or just the regular thick leather?"
"I need to converse with my sister a moment." Lust said, and dragged Calbrena a short distance away to have a whispered conversation with her sisters.
Wrath meanwhile leaned against the counter.
"I wonder why I allowed myself to be talked into chaperoning this excursion. Shopping is like a battle. You get what you need and get out by the most efficient method possible.
Say, who do you think is going to win the two major wars? In raiaera, my money's on Xem'xund, powerful necromancer, undead hordes, with new recruits daily. Death's a hard element to fight.
Meanwhile, in Corone, I'm almost certain the coalition won't even picture into the final event, their too much like a ragtag group of peasants. No, it'll be The Empire or The Rangers that wins, and even that contest is going to be a close on. Oop, their returning." Wrath said, making conversation to pass the time while the three conversed.
"Ok, I'll go with the Delyn plates on the coat, and the shorts, forget the undergarments and skirt. You said that would come to 400 gold? Alright, here you go." Calbrena said, and opened her wings to reveal her beautiful undressed body. She set a bag on the table, opened it up, and quickly counted out 400 gold.
"Did you need to take any measurements?" Calbrena asked.
"No need for any sort of checks for size and such. I have a wide range of sizes, just have to figure out which one's you like better. As for the coat, I may have a few in stock already, though I'm not sure if they're going to be too long or too short. One can't be runnin' around in a duster that looks like a jacket, or one that drags on the ground." The shopkeeper laughed and turned for the back room.
A few moments later he returned, his arms full of shirts and shorts, all black, perfectly suited for the tail the woman sported. "There's a changing room over there," he commented with a nod to the left. "Whatever fits best is your's, I'll have to send it in to get the inlay done but that only takes a day or two. With the way that it's been lately, and how early it still is in the day, I could probably push that up to this afternoon for ya."
Three coats, without plating, four different pairs of shorts, and six different shirts waited on the booth. Whatever caught her eye she was welcome to try, but all of it would have to be sent in as soon as she was finished for the plating and final touches.
Calbrena took the clothes into the dressing room, first she tried out the largest roomiest set, and discarded them, too big. Then she attempted to try the smallest set on, but alas, they were too small!
She tried on the medium set, it all fit nicely. She decided to show her brother and sisters. They all nodded.
"But how can you move in them, that's the important question."
Calbrena tried a high kick. Perfect. But not demonstrative enough. So she broke into a dance, moving into a melody only she could hear played by her imaginary band of bards.
It was a nice little number, entertaining, and proved she had freedom of movement. Thoroughly satisfied with the garment, she took the duster off so the plates could be sown in.
"Gee bro, I wish I had your tough skin, must be nice to grow a natural suit of armor. What do you do, eat Adamantine?" Calbrena asked.
"Yes," Wrath replied sarcasticly, "And I have my enslaved Aibrone monks make it for me too."
"I thought they just did for your arena what they do for the citadel arenas." Calbrena asked, confused.
Wrath could only slap his face as he shook his head.
The shopkeeper watched the banter with his mouth tight, an extended blink the only sign of his agitation. "So those are good? Hand 'em over and I'll send them right now to get fixed up like you wanted. Give my people about five hours and come back to pay up. Sound good?"
Calbrena blinked, and looked down at the pile of 400 gold on the counter she had put there earlier. Then she went back into the dressing room and changed.
"So, the 400 gold I already laid on the counter, I should save then?" Calbrena asked.
Regardless of the answer, she came out, and laid everything on the counter.
"No," the shopkeeper laughed and scooped up the golden coins with his clawed hands. The tailors always wanted their money up front, curious and cautious in everything they did. Business always was constant, and kept both the shop and its assistants busy, but it was always better to be careful. "There's a tavern around the corner, tell 'em I sent ya and you'll be treated to a bit of food and drink while you wait. Should only take a couple hours."
The shopkeeper turned the clothes over and over, looking at the quality of the work. His mind raced with the possibility of adding a bit more money onto the bill, if for nothing more than how well everything turned out. However tacky he thought the embroidering was to begin with, it was the customers request.
Demonic hands grasped a delicate duster and brushed the feathers over nonexistent dust, attempting to find anything to pass the time while waiting for another customer or the duo to return.
Calbrena returned, but not with her brothers and sisters. Instead, on her arm was what appeared to be an older human gentleman wearing a pinstripe business suit and matching derby hat. He walked with a cane made of black mythril, studded with Diamonds, Rubies, Emeralds, and Sapphires. There was only one cane like that in the world, and only one man who owned it.
Calbrena got her clothes and went into the fitting room to change, leaving the shopkeeper alone with The Lord of The Abyss, father of The Seven Deadly Sins.
Xith'rith'xail regarded the shopkeeper, his thoughts a mystery.
"I think he did a really great job daddy!" Calbrena said, in a bubbly excitement.
Not once in living memory had the demon in disguise ever revealed any weakness, or sign of weakness. Not that he didn't have any, merely that he kept them very well hidden. An even bigger mystery was what the man truly looked like, always claiming he kept his current form because "That much power isn't needed yet". Yet when Calbrena stepped out of the dressing room, a smile revealed he shared a weakness with every other father in Althanas, his children, and the love he felt for them.
"Yes Corruption, he did a very good job indeed. Black with gold and silver? Perhaps, if you really like that color combination, you should think up designs to use them for, then you can have your own symbol, just like your brothers and sisters, when all the planes know you as The Eighth Deadly Sin.
My Hat is off to you good sir, you've done a wonderful job. Clearly you have legendary skills in your craft." Xith'rith'xail said, paying out a rare compliment.
Then he turned to Calbrena.
"Now, let's go get Gluttony, before he eats the buffet out of business. Somebody should teach that boy that the phrase 'All you can eat' is not a personal challenge." Xith'rith'xail said. Together they left, leaving only silence in the shop.
