Haro Hailblade

35 years old

Winged

5'8"

125lb

Golden brown eyes

Platinumblond hair

Runic Swordsman

Serious, calm, warm, bad temper if pushed too far.

Light build, strong muscles, wears a blue trousers with a white tunic and a green vest. Has his sword on his back and his book pouch on his left side. The seal that hides away a good portion of his power and his wings are shadow trible designs.

Haro Hailblade is one of the few people part of a race called the winged. This scholar warrior has honed his skills at both pen and sword, and has perfected the art of scription (writing words of power into objects). The winged have hidden among the normal humans for centuries, hiding their long life they disapearing or dieing in battle. Ever since the city of the winged vanished they have hidden to keep the other reces from doing wrong to the winged. Now time has turned long enough for them to retun.

Skills
Scription, the art of writing words of power into objects: basic scription ex basic use of the elements: when words are writen, the element comes out of them after gathering in the letters, and when released follow the scripts instructions. Haro has little skill with making compex sentiences with the unique language, so he can only do so much.
Note(Usualy instant use that lasts for a second, like a blast, but can be long lasting, like insribe sword for five turns. Scription can be washed of of object usung water be cause of ink base.) Scription spells: fire blast (single paper use, fire damage), ice shot (single paper use, ice damage), Note, the shots are small, softball size, and if shot can only sustain themselves for 10 feet.

Swordsmanship: average skill level. Understanding of blocks and strikes but not complex techniques.

Release seal: at dire instances Haro can rlease the seal on his wings and power, and fight back with great strength, but only in rare dire need. (Lasts for 3 turns, releases phisical wings that are a natural part of his person and double strangth).

Basic first aid: can bandage cuts, splint and fix breaks, and make a salve to ease pain.

Energy manipulation: can move his energy, or chi throughout his body where ever he needs it, can also make a faint light and use it to cause more pain and hit 1.5x harder.

Equipment
Iorn long sword, traveling clothes, leather belt, book pouch, book, pen, ink, extra paper, pack, tone pendant (a peice of jewlry his father passed down that makes a special tone. Not for sale.)

Familiar: a whispy flame that is actualy a spirit that helpa Haro in small ways with big things, and big ways with small things. He gose around in places Haro can't and draws enemies away at times. He's called Nerrit.

Hey there and welcome to Althanas! It's always good to have a new face around. I'm going to be helping you out with the little basics to clarify things a bit. Granted, the site is quite wide open for your creativity, we have to make the basics clear so that it's fair for everyone. Just a few edits...

:: Scription :: I'd like if you could list what you can do with this ability, maybe just a couple things for now. You said "use of basic elements", and I assume the skill is a lot like runes on a weapon. So, a suggestion (and you don't have to use this, it's only so you know what I mean); Can script the heat of fire into a weapon by making it catch on fire (specific ability) for up to twenty seconds (time limit) twice in a battle or three times in a quest (how often you can use it).

Also, is it a permanent thing that is attached to the weapon? If so, you'll have to limit scripting things to quests, and if it's approved at the end you can have it permanently attached to the weapon.

:: Release Seal :: For now, I'd like you to add just a little bit, like it doubles his strength for a few turns/until death when you are close to death. Also, do you have wings when this is active? If so, I'd like for you to only use them in a battle if the opponent (another writer at least) agrees to it.

:: Energy Manipulation :: At this time, I'm going to assume that the light and slightly harder hits are all you can use this for. For "hit harder" please specify that it makes you hit people only 1.5x harder than average.

:: Equipment :: What do you mean by strate sword? Is it a longsword? A short sword? Whatever it is, it can be either steel or iron, edit that after the sword. Also, you can't sell the tone pendant.

:: Familiar :: What do you mean by "helps Haro in small ways with big things, and big ways with small things"? How does he help?

I know it seems like a lot of things, but I like to be clear on what a character can and can't do, and if it's not in your profile and approved you can get points docked in the judgment for using it. I don't want to see you get docked, and it's better to start basic and work your way up than it is to try and jump into Althanas with a super strong character. We like to make sure that everyone's equal to begin with, and then after that you can level up and add more abilities and skills as you get experience. :p

Alrighty, no worries. Just one more edit, and you'll be free. Add maybe a couple small types of abilities that you can currently write on the weapon and details about them. So, under the spell, just add a couple just like you did for the other skills/abilities (time limit, uses, and strengths). When I come and check them to make sure they're all good, you'll be free to head out into the world of Althanas and do whatev. Haha.

Thanks a ton, you know this is one of the longest character registrations I've seen yet.

Scription spells: fire blast (single paper use, fire damage), ice shot (single paper use, ice damage), lightning strike (single paper use, electric damage), wind scribe (inscription on item, wind damage and shock wave, four turns), fire scription (inscribe on item, fire damage and 50% chance to burn two turns, three turns), frost scription (inscribe item, ice damage and 55% chance to freeze)

Pick two of these, and we'll go with those. If you chose fire/ice/lightning strike then the spells are going to be similar to the very beginning spells... fire/ice is about the size of a softball. A lightning strike would be a small bolt, which could cause a small shock. The other ones are a bit too strong at the moment, so pick one of those three and add that they cannot be shot further than ten feet from the sword when used and you'll be on your way.

Approved!

Thanks for jumping in here and busting out the last little bit. Sorry it took so long.
