A couple of weeks ago I finally managed to get my hands on a PSP and a copy of this game, which I had to sell my sister to an Egyptian trader for (totally worth the trade). I must admit, I'm not a massive fan of beat 'em ups that don't include the magic words "Street" and "Fighter", but Dissidia frankly blows my mind. I love it.

Is there anyone else on here who owns this game who feels that this little disk of glory somehow has changed their life for the better, or am I the only sad man on this site?

The thing I love about this, other than the fact it's Final Fantasy 1 to 12 modernised, is that they could have really messed this up big style, but did it right. Apart from a couple of issues I have with Zidane, I don't think I have yet found anything in this game I don't like.

I love the way it challenges me too. One night I could be leathering everyone in sight with a polished up version of Cloud, the next I'm trying to crush Onion Knight with Golbez and getting my arse handed to me all night. Yet, I can't turn it off. I find myself wanting to keep playing.

Zidane at higher levels can be a pain, but, saying that, his bravery attacks are weak as hell, and he can be drained effectively by fighting him on the ground and staying there.

I find Golbez a nice little counter for Zidane, and in fact any other character who has a half decent repetoir of air attacks. Genesis Rock puts them on their arse and shouting. I love it.

I have Dissidia for my PSP as well. The first Character I built up to level 100 is Squall. Then I built up a few others, most recently, Jecht. I know someone who plays heavily with Zidane and is actually quite nasty with him. I am currently on a quest to find level 100 killers...I am building up my Terra for that. Terra is surprisingly an interesting Character to use...
