+ Good Luck Gloves: Pair of white gloves decorated with a pattern of black and red dice.
+ Slick Suit: A well tailored white dress suit, complete with a black tie and a cane. The cane is made of sanded bones and has a surprisingly ivory shade to it.
+ Bluffing Goggles: A slick pair of shade's that Xavier uses to hide his eyes during a poker game or on a sunny day.
Brief History
Xavier doesn't care for the past. If his dark history could be summarized in one word it would be "slow." From the moment he was born, till his father's death, he was taught to become a con man. His father always told him to look out for number one, meaning himself, which was really the only advice that ever sat well with the suited man.
At age eighteen he left his homeland, Fallien, in search of places to test his tricks. He first went to the humble city of Scara Brae, where he now makes a living in underground card and dice games.
Items
+ Bone Dice: Crafted from the same material his cane is made of. These dice have a series of outcomes depending on their roll, however Xavier can only use them three times a day before having to charge their magic for a full eight hours. (Effects under skills and abilities)
+ Blood Dice: These dice were created by a shaman in Fallien. They are imbued with Xavier's blood, making them a dark shade of red. Xavier can control with his mind what these dice roll, making them a useful asset for the con artist.
+ Deck of Playing Cards: Regular deck of playing cards.
+ Deck of Throwing Cards: Deck of cards, only contains one suit currently (Spades; 13 cards) that when thrown have the same impact as iron. The face cards (King, queen, jack) explode upon impact, causing minor amounts of damage equal to a strong punch. The aces of the deck explode creating a blinding flash, though the blinding effects only last for 3 seconds. Can retrieve any of the cards, with the exception of aces and face cards.
+ Bone Cane: It is always ivory and smooth, made of the leftover bone's from a dead mammal (so strength of this material is that of a regular bone; can break with ease if enough force is applied.)
+ Pack of Cigarettes/ Book of Matches: One pack, containing twenty menthol cigarettes.
Skills/Abilities
+ Luck of the Draw: Xavier is extremely lucky. His luck effects him in various ways, but the way that he's found most useful is during a game of cards, or in any game that involves personal gain (Cards, dice, anything gambling.)
+ Throwing Marksmanship: Effects Xavier's ability to throw his cards with accuracy. Currently his skill is 1.5 that of a normal being.
+ Cane Fighting: Below Average
+ Hand to Hand: Average
+ Bone Dice Effects:
=3 charges
=Xavier's luck ability doesn't effect the outcome of these rolls.
- 2 (snake eyes): Causes Xavier to go blind for one hour, in this time his eyes turn foggy grey.
- 3: I Believe I Can Fly: Grants Xavier the ability to glide (not fly) at a slow speed for three minutes. If he is still in mid-air when the spell wears off, he will fall, and possibly be crippled in the process.
- 4: Eyes of the Owl: Gives Xavier the ability to see clearly at night for a matter of one hour. This spell has no use to the con artist during the day, but it does however waste a charge.
- 5: No effects, it does waste a charge though.
- 6: Decreased Strength and Speed: Lowers his strength and speed to 50% (.5) of his normal abilities. At his current level this would make him .5 of a normal being. Lasts 6 minutes.
- 7: Increased Strength and Speed: Raises his strength and speed to 150% (1.5) of his normal abilities. At his current level this would make him 1.5 of a normal being. Lasts 7 minutes
- 8: Man of Steel: Gives his body the ability to withstand blows and strikes from steel (or lesser tier metal) for a matter of eight minutes. Doesn't decrease the effects of blunt damage though.
- 9: No effects, it does waste a charge though.
- 10: Bad Case of the Burns: Momentarily covers his body in crimson rashes. The rashes burn intensely and leave him in a critical state of weakness. The rashes only last for a matter of ten minutes, but they do manage to make the con man extremely weak, most times he has to rest to recover his strength.
- 11: Shocking Touch: Allows Xavier's hands to deal small amounts of lightning damage upon touch. Currently it has no chance to stun, but improves the damage dealt in melee to 1.5. Lasts ten minutes.
- 12: Roll of a Lifetime: Can heal any (minor or major) wounds recently (within the last six hours) inflicted on Xavier. This is his favorite roll because it leaves him very refreshed.
(I would like to include that this character's purpose isn't going to be to just rack up money.)
