A dilemma.

This morning I've been taking product photos of the bath items I make, and I found myself at a standstill on making a decision about some sculpted soaps. With flash, the glitter sparkles more how I like it, and without the flash, every other aspect of the picture is perfect to me. Zook has no artistic eye, so I'm not going to bother asking him, because I'll get, "I don't know, honey. I like them both, so whatever you like better." =.=

So, I'm going to put up both flash and unflash shots of the three angles/focuses (focii?) I wanted to use. Please feel free to tell me which you prefer, or if you think I'm over-thinking this whole stupid ordeal.

These photos have yet to be cropped, so ignore table/background beyond paper that you might see. TT____TT

Good lord, why can't these be real? They look ravishing!

(But 2 works better for me, the slight off focus drags attention to the central nommage. Looks more like a professional angle too).

I'll likely be using all three pictures in the series, flash or nonflash, but it seems that the very last picture (part of nonflash) seems to be garnering the most approval? I'm mostly freaking out over this because it's a pretty solid point that your photography will make or break your etsy sales, considering online buyers only have the picture to go off of, and I have several slots for pictures to go with the etsy listings. I don't want to mix and match from the series' because it is utterly important (however silly that may be) to me that the light and colors are the same through all the pictures. n.n;;;

Thank you, Task and Vis! *huggle* I'm starting to lean more towards the unflashed considering I've had people tell me there's no difference to them in the glitter's...glitterness between the two pics. I think I've gone mad.

EDIT: Aww, thank you Duffy. They're also scented like iced lemon pound cake, so it's really tempting to take a bite. n.n;;; Terrible hilarity would ensue!

Hmm. I wonder if I could replicate the focus and positioning of the second picture without flash so it would have the colors of the second set? Off to experiment!

2 and 4 for me as well. 4 is better than 2. But.... I don't eat bath soap cupcakes. :p

EDIT: Oh wait, they aren't edible. I was thinking they were.

To me, 2 and 4 look...well...

2 is OMG TOO MUCH GLITTER, but 4 looks...kinda slimy, with the way it shines.
