Hey, look! It’s Christoph actually recruiting for something. I’m seeking a dedicated opponent for an army battle, taking place in Salvar. It takes place midway through the FQ’s chronology (when the church is still winning). Essentially, Elijah Belov has assembled a large band of rogue sorcerers and other followers in the steppes and hills near the city of Archen (don’t look for it on the map, because I made it up). His organization sparked an uprising in the city, and the Ethereal Sway dispatched an army to put it down. Out thread starts in the aftermath of that battle, and involves the remaining forces heading into the forested hill to destroy Elijah’s base of operations, burn his sorcerers, and put his followers to the sword.
That’s where my opponent comes in. I need someone to control the church Salvic army, including some sort of witch hunter-y type NPC(s). You will have a significant numerical advantage (a couple thousand to my several hundred), but Elijah’s coven of sorcerers and various tamed beasts should even things up. And no, I’m not “recruiting a villain.” The hero-villain dynamic will be grey at best, as should be apparent once I make my opening post. If your character has a good reason for being in the church's army, great. If not, I don't mind if my opponent uses NPCs only.
I need someone who can post semi-regularly. I prefer quality to promptness, however. And that brings me to the most important criteria. I’m going to sound smug, but I’m pretty good and I want someone who thinks he/she can give me a real challenge in the army battle arena. Not only will it keep me on my toes, but it will result in a great story at the end, regardless of who wins. This is not first-come-first-serve; I'll choose who I feel would be best. So, anybody interested?
PS: I plan on submitting the finished battle to the Writing Workshop. Hopefully it won’t break it. >.>
