Appearance
Einar is a large man, standing almost a full head taller than the average warrior on Althanas. As a larger man, he has often accepted the odd looks he gets when he towers through crowds of men and women. A noble, he always keeps his head high and his back straight. He doesn’t slouch unless it’s absolutely necessary, such as when he’s sneaking which isn’t often. His face is wide, his chin heavy and noble, his shoulders are extremely broad. Muscle rolls over his body, as if growing over muscles that are normal to any other man. He enjoys his stature, his strength, and his build. His wingspan, for lack of a better term, is similar if not equal to his height giving him equal advantage over those that are shorter than he is. Muscles require constant attention though; as such the banished noble tends to work out every morning. Religion is important to some, prayer daily is just as important as eating daily; to Einar his body is his religion. His powerful build is as much a testament to his quasi-religious belief as the perfection of his weapons and armor is.
History
The House of Fenrisson is a longstanding noble house. Built on the southern coast of Salvar, North of the mountains that split Salvar from Alerar. A small castle, little more than a large mansion made of pure stone, sits on a large hill overlooking the sandy beach and stretches of the docks. It is a peaceful place, filled with plenty of people that are more concerned with when the next heavy snows of winter are coming than they are with war. The Nobles of House Fenrisson has always held this land, as far back as anyone could remember. It was a port town, trafficking goods for merchants to and from Salvar. Just like the people, none of the nobles wanted to ever involve themselves in Salvar’s political games or warring. There were other things to do.
That was, until Einar.
The large man had inherited the estate, castle, and family business. It was a great time to take the reins of the family business. However, it was not a great era on the way. War broke out (Featured Quest) and soon the entire region was in conflict. Unlike isolated wars in the past, between noble houses for lands and resources, the civil war forced the hands of every part of the country. Einar wanted to remain disassociated with it, but did not get the ability to. The nobles needed him to stand with the king, the Church demanded his assistance as well. Instead of becoming involved he continued to stand apart, and remain aloof in his decision.
Towards the middle of the war nobles from surrounding areas came to him and ask him to join. When he refused, they demanded that he join. When he refused again, he was given an ultimatum. Send his troops and able bodied men into the war, or they would raze his lands and home. Instead, he gave up his position and fled from the lands of Salvar, leaving behind his wife and young child. In doing so, he gave up his rights and his lands. It was the only way to keep them intact, as well as keep his line going. He had no doubt that his son would grow up hating him for not being there, but if he had stayed his wife and child would have been killed alongside him.
Equipment
Weapons
Heavy Mace The mace is made of steel. It weighs ten pounds, has four thick sides that stick out. When it strikes, it’s like being hit with a sword, but one that’s not sharp and much heavier. It has a leather thong on it that wraps around the hand and hooks so that if it’s dropped it won’t hit the ground but instead will stay attached to the arm. Sometimes that’s useful, sometimes it’s a hindrance. It also has a loop on the back which goes over a hook on a belt if the person has one.

Long Dagger The dagger is made of damascus. It is about 8 inches long and has a thick leather sheath that can be strapped to a belt. It is always kept attached to Einar’s belt on his non-shield arm.

Armor
Pauldron (Left Arm) A simple black leather piece. It straps across his chest and covers his shield arm, since he has a shield he’s not as worried about that arm. It covers from just past his neck all the way to his shoulder. Good for stopping small blades and thin bladed swords (rapiers and such). Because it’s layered, the layers add to a better defense, so where the layers overlap it offers protection from other larger blades (such as longswords).

Pauldron (Right Arm) A simplistic piece of armor made from steel. Covers Einar’s sword arm. He has it hinged perfectly at the elbow so that it doesn’t intrude on his style of fighting.
((Picture (http://www.fantasy-armor.com/images/pauldrons/AE1502.jpg)))
Large Shield The shield is a very simple design, made of steel. It has a large strap across the back that his arm fits through. He’s used it a lot, it’s dented, but it’s a good shield originally meant for practice fighting. As such, it’s a bit worthless in terms of financially. It is also not as thick as a shield should be to defend against extended blows and damage.

Equipment
Clothing He has a pair of thick leather boots, soft cotton pants bloused into his boots, and a off-white short-sleeve shirt. It’s all he has to wear, so he tends to smell bad at times.
Skills/Abilities
Horsemanship Above average. He’s good at riding, even on a galloping horse, but he’s not very talented with fighting on one. He certainly can’t shoot a bow or crossbow correctly or accurately while riding.
Heavy/Light Mace/Club Use Expert. He’s good with heavy weapons that aren’t edged. If he was to use an edged weapon that was lighter, he’d probably have more problems than it would be worth. Also, because he’s good with maces/clubs he’s more prone to use a sword or equivalent much like he would a club, which means he would use the sharpened edge just as much as the flat side of the sword.
Archery Below average. He can pull a bow easily, can aim it well enough, but he’s not experienced with it enough to make it useful in anything other than hunting if what he’s shooting at isn’t moving at least.
Strength 2x stronger than someone his size. He’s big, so it’s no surprise he’s strong, but he’s a little stronger than most would expect even for his weight. It’s no possible for him to advance more than 2x strength, however, I intend for this only as a means of carrying armor and weapons in the future. Nothing more, nothing less.
((Since I planned on making Task more "Althanas friendly" I figured I should go ahead and make him. Thread (http://www.althanas.com/world/showpost.php?p=159675&postcount=13) this is where I was going to change my character, since it's not a real spoil I'm going to go ahead and update.))
