character and linked profile question

I came with an idea today of a multi personality disorder character...

and to make it even better, each part of his personality is totaly diffrent in skills and abilities as well as weaknesses and all that.

now the question;
if i make 3 diffrent characters, link their profiles and all that, can i then play them out in a single quest at my own whim, change personality at a whim.

ofc the idea is that its not always like "for this encounter this personality is the best" more like a randomness to what personality that is out and that also could create a rather intresting encounters in quests.

so far i have 4 personalities though up, but also wonder would it then be a problem to add personalities later on if they so would be developed?

You could do that. The only problem I see with this is that you'll end up leveling up four different characters, and that's bound to go very slowly. But if you don't really care about the EXP and the levels, you can roll with that.

Alternatively, you could just add personalities to the existing profile during a level update and play them all using a single account. The problem in this particular case is that the four personalities/characters probably wouldn't be allowed to be all as strong as a usual character of that level. Having four different personalities equals to having four different sets of skills, and that would be an unfair advantage if they're all equally powerful.

When I first started with Duffy, I NPC'd with Ruby for a while, to the point where I was effectively writing about four or five characters from the same account. Eventually, it turned into Ruby having a full account, and then Blank, and then Lilith...

Doing it multiple accounts is a feasible way of doing it by all means, but like Letho said, progression would be slow.

You could feasibly have your main character account, and then back-ups to post, so it's easier to realise when personality is switched, and have all XP go to the main account, perhaps?

Or stick to personalities in one profile and use symbols/breaks to show when a switch takes place.

I'm going a different route. There's a character in the works (that I can't use yet due to storyline reasons) and while their seven separate entities, they all share the same mind, especially at first. They eventually develop into seven individuals with a mind-link.

Number's character has two personalities, he has them in one profile with the skills slightly different for each (weaker for one).
