Name: Sifer Ramius

Age: 19

Race: Human

Sex: Male

Height: 6’1

Weight: 180 lbs

Alignment: Neutral Good

Hair Color: Brown

Eye Color: Brown

Class: Bandit

Personality: Sifer is not as terrifying or mean as he appears. The rumors of his personality greatly outweigh the true facts. He is kind but stern. He is serious with several soft spots. He has true feelings like any other human. Sifer is fearless in the face of any danger. He finds himself on both sides of the thin line that separates bravery and stupidity. He manages to keep his calm in any situation and is very serious in the heat of battle. For some reason, he drives the ladies crazy. ;) Sifer is a man that breaks the rules instead of making them. Even though he seems good at heart from this small description, he has a very dark past, which will be explained as I go on.

Appearance: Sifer has black hair that ends just past his face. He has large, caring brown eyes, which grant him great vision, better than average. He is about average height but a little skinnier than most Althanians. He wears a long sleeve shirt under his studded leather armor, which only covers his torso. Brown leather pants cover his legs and ankles. The leather boots he wears end halfway to his knees. He wears leather gauntlets that begin just after the elbows and end before his knuckles. His slim and muscular physique makes him a very quick and skilled fighter.

Sifer’s father dropped the armor over his son’s head. It covered the young boy completely and caused him to topple over. They both laughed loudly as Sifer crawled out of the armor and his dad hung it back up on the wall. His father had told him that the armor had belonged to his grandfather, a man who fiercely defended and led the small village they lived in. They say that when he died, the village began to slowly become corrupt.

Armor: Studded Leather Armor.

Weapons: Two-handed Scimitar

Sifer watched as his father dipped the sword in the cool water. Steam rose everywhere as the sword hardened naturally and Sifer’s jaw dropped. His ten-year-old mind couldn’t take the awe-inspiring actions, things his father saw every day and became the norm to him. The sword was pulled from its cold plunge and had perfectly formed the shape that the blacksmith had stressed over for hours. He passed the sword to Sifer and the small boy took it into his hands. The weight of the sword was overpowering and Sifer couldn’t hold the blade still.

Two-handed Scimitar: This is Sifer’s preferred weapon. It is much like a normal scimitar but it is much longer and is wielded much more effectively with two hands. Its very light and Eryk can make quick and calculated strikes with it. The sword is made of steel.

Skills: Like a Stone, Slippery When Wet

Like a Stone: Sifer is very good at taking a hit. He can withstand some of the worst physical torture that any mortal can put forth. His ability to withstand pain has come from years of hard work and pain itself. This is one of several traits that make Sifer a good fighter.

Slippery When Wet: Sifer’s father had taught him many ways to tie ropes together as well as how to untie them. Sifer has a large knowledge of knots. This knowledge gives him a slight advantage when it comes to escapes.

Magic: Unforgiven

One year ago.

“Son, you see this stone?” He said to his son, who was now a young man. “This stone is a very blessed family heirloom. Any man who holds this stone is granted unbelievably large strength and ferocity. This is how your grandfather protected the village for so long from bandits and monsters. Without this stone you may very well not exist. Once I pass on you will become the holder of this stone and the protector of this village. Do you understand?”

“Yes father, I do.”

“Great now you must remember this stone is extremely valuable and in the wrong hands it could be used to destroy our home. Now that you have become a young man I am putting my trust into you. I hope I have made the right decision.” His son nodded gently, already a twinkle in his eye hinted to some sort of plan. Greed would play a large role in this story.

Unforgiven: This magic does not need to be summoned. It casts a small aura around Sifer, which grants any ally of his slightly greater skill with their weapons and the will to fight no matter the odds. The aura also affects Sifer himself. With the aura Sifer has average sword skills and a clearer mind. The aura creates a small glow around Sifer that illuminates the area affected by the aura. The aura only affects people within 5 feet of Sifer.

Familiar: A young black wolf by the name of “Numb”.

History: Sifer, like any other human, is greatly affected by greed and its power. When his father told Sifer about the stone it triggered one of the most evil thoughts that he would ever produce. He could sell this stone for a large amount of wealth. Large sums of money were a very rare sight in his rural area. The plan moved faster than Sifer could think and soon it was in effect.

The man tossed a large sack of money in Sifer’s direction. The boy’s smile started to fade from his delicate face as he realized the mistake he had made. The large brute slipped his new luggage into his pocket and tipped his hat to Sifer.

“You have just saved me a lot of trouble my friend. I will spare your village and your family for your services.” His half-tooth smile hinted at the sarcasm. Sifer had doomed his village, his home. The man would spare his life now but if he ever saw Sifer again it would probably be the last.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++

Sifer stood on the small hill overlooking where the village had once been. It was now just a pile of rubble, black from the intense heat that had burned throughout the night. No one had survived besides Sifer and his pet of course. The man had lied to him and he was not surprised. There was nothing he could do to stop them that night; he would have been killed like the rest of the people there. He sheathed his sword and turned his back on the village after lifting up a silent prayer. He knew his sins would never be absolved. He would dub himself the unforgiven.

“Looks like I’m wanted, dead or alive.” He said to his pet.

Sifer was indeed wanted because the bandits had slipped out information to the surrounding villages. Sifer had been framed for leading the bandits into his own village and slaughtering his family and friends. Every village in the area would put a price on Sifer's head and soon the bounty hunters and mercenaries would be on his trail. He had to escape for now and wait until he could successfully clear his name.

Unforgiven needs a limit to just how much it improves someone's l33t skillz. Just to be on the safe side.

Indicate that it raises their ability 'slightly' or something else that is very minor, for now. I like the skill, though.
