View Full Version : Of mice and Goblins....?

Funji
07-28-06, 11:02 PM
Name: Funji [FUN-jee] (Goblins do not have surnames, only titles.)
Age: 14 (comparable to about 20 human years)
Race: Goblin
Hair Color: Bald
Eye Color: Golden
Skin Color: Green
Height: 4’5
Weight: 65 lbs
Occupation: Annoyance

Personality: Funji, like all the others of his kind, is destructive, maniacal, but a coward and especially childish. He loves blowing things up, and playing with the person he clings to. (Usually Funji picks another character and follows them around, annoying or entertaining them, depending on their likes of a green-eared freak.) In battle, he hardly makes a difference between friend or foe, and is rather dull-witted.

Appearance: Funji is short, his stature no bigger than a child, rather pudgy, with small feet and stubby legs. His arms are rather long for his body, giving him a very disproportioned look. He has sharp fangs and long nails, as well as a fat nose. He has no hair, but two pointy ears jut from his head, and a few hairs grow from them. He wears a leather jerkin and carries a large cleaver and a few useless and odd trinkets.

Skills: Funji has two major Skill Groups, Acrobatics and Combat

Acrobatics: This skill of Funji’s allows him to perfom acrobatic tricks just out of the range of falling(a goblin’s usual strongsuit). These allow him to fall great distances, roll out of attacks, and leaping farther than normal.
-Basic Acrobatics- Funji can roll out of the way of an attack(mind you not every single attack), leap about 3 or 4 feet forward, or 2 or 3 feet high(incredible for a goblin) or slice with his cleaver and quickly roll back, hopefully out of the way of harm.(Note: This is a broad category, and listing every ability would take pages. These are guidelines, and its not limited to this list.)

Combat: This skill represents abilities learned over time to better his slim chance of survival. They are cleaver techniques(such as parry, two attacks, etc) and body attacks(kicks, punches, bites etc.) This skill is not as broad as Acrobatics.
-Rough and Tumble- Funji has become proficient at ‘fighting dirty’ and will just as soon kick somebody’s shin as he would cut them. His punches are as hard as a human’s(because they are centered at a smaller fist.)
-Razor kick- Funji kicks at the opponent as hard as his little legs will pound. After this initial attack, he quickly swipes his knife up. The ultimate goal is to kick them in the gut, then while their head reflexively is lowered, catch them in the jaw with his cleaver. It could be a hard-hitting one-two, or an easily dodged attack.

Equipment: Funji has his basic supplies such as food, drink, clothing and a tent, but he also carries an Iron cleaver, which is very large for him, and he uses in two hands. He has a small leather pouch filled with all sorts of small, dumb trinkets. It has tarnished gems, not worth anything(due to the teethmarks?) a small coin of gold that he refers to as “Funji’s Shiny!” It also has bite marks…. And other odd useless junk.

History: The average Goblin life is very bland. It’s spent pillaging, hording to attack, and raiding cities, then eventually death. Funji, on the other hand, has a very exciting life ahead of him…

He started out as the son of a raider. His mother always cared for him(amazing, eh? Goblins care for their kids!) until he was about age 10, which the is the usual time the kids are booted out of the house. Funji stayed, however. He still drank their goat-milk and ate their cats. Oh yes, Goblins mainly farm cats to stay alive. Eventually, his parents gave him a little push, more of a kick, out of the door.

Then he became a Goblin bum, begging from beggars, you could say. This was VERY ineffective at getting cash, so he walked into the local butcher shop, and grabbed a piece of cat-jerky. The butcher noticed, confronted him about it, and Funji grabbed the cleaver and chopped his head in half. After realizing what he did, he ran.

Ever since, he has been ducking JUST under the fist, and rolling JUST out of the way of the feet, of those who wish to crush him. He has followed a river to this land, and has, for the past few months, splurged and gambled away everything he owned for the sights of elves, men and giants. Now he is entering adventuring, to see the stuff his wallet wouldn’t allow.
