Hello. I'm brand spankin' new here.
I've just got a question about the character I've just submitted. Correct me if this posting is misplaced for this kinda thing.

I've created an undead character, not in the vampire undead sense either.
More like Zombie undead.

While you have a place to list abilities for characters, you don't have a place for drawbacks.

In my case, the character regenerates over a legthy period of time (Pro)
However, she cannot regain her vitality by any other means, i.e. food, sleep, magic. (con)
Also, she is extra succeptible to light magic damage. (con)

I kinda had to smoosh all this together in the tiny space i had to write in.

While I will happily RP this (pending approval of character, of course) I just wanted to point out that maybe people could have a separate section for drawbacks, maybe?

Heya, welcome to Althanas!

You posted your profile in the right place, but the format isn't exactly what's preferable, since it's more of a history of the character than anything. Also, the profile in the sidebar isn't your character profile, just a helpful excerpt of the information available from your actual character profile.

That's why in that forum, there's a sticky called RoG and Althanas FAQ (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=19339), which contains all the info you need when making a complete character profile. In the second post, there's a basic template that you can follow, although you can modify it to you liking by adding new sections.

As for drawbacks, you could either make a separate section for them, or include them directly in an ability (Example: Regeneration - Character regenerates over a lengthy period of time, but cannot regain vitality by any other means).

If you need examples of level 0 character profiles that have already been approved, you can also look here in the Registration Archive (http://www.althanas.com/world/forumdisplay.php?f=10) (Although HeroGirl and Satanfoot Blocker aren't exactly the norm, especially Satanfoot which is a parody of another character here on Althanas). You'll see nuances between inidividual profiles, but they're all based on the basic template. Hope that helps!

It looks ok to me, but what happens next is an RoG mod comes along and looks it over. Their sole purpose in this is to insure your character is balanced and fair, that it isn't too strong for level 0. Once it meets their satisfaction, they'll approve you, and you can get started.

They don't make the changes themselves mind you, they simply tell you what needs to be changed, and then you make the required edits. If you feel like discussing the changes with them, go ahead.
