Sei Orlouge had been through a lot in his twenty-something years on this planet. He had made friends, made enemies, become an entirely different race, adopted a little girl, and lead a few teams during his tenure as a hero and protector. Now he was once again leading a group of people, 'raising' two teenage daughters, and forging new friendships and animosities every day. Though he slept well knowing that Radasanth was safe, he was starting to think more and more about his previous adventures.

He had always been a master of versatility with his weapons. When he started out, he only had two steel bladed rings at his side. Over time he had earned enough money for his four mythril battle fans, and even his titanium Kusari-gama. Then, with his daughter Anita came his Gemini Blades, though magical in origin, Sei estimated the weapons to possess titanium like strength. Finally, the mute reflected on the ring worn around his right index finger. His iron-like emei piercer forming when in need of a quick stabbing. It was truly amazing how the mute had made it so far without ever using a single firearm.

As he sat at the table in his chambers with his weapons strewn about, he continued to reflect on his past. Reaching for a glass of Concordia Sparkling Grape Juice, Sei took a sip as he held the stem of the glass between his right index and ring fingers. Swishing the liquid in his mouth a little bit, Sei swallowed the drink with one sound gulp. The swishing had shown Sei that his dental hygiene was still intact, as well as let the mute get a good mouthful of delicious grape flavor.

He looked back to the weapons. Over half of them had been with Sei longer than his own daughters. There had to be some way to pay homage to the things. There had to be something he could do to bestow honor upon the items that had helped him out of situations time and time again. Then it hit Sei like a ton of bricks. Many warriors had done this in the past, though it was not so much to honor the weapon. Sei smiled as he realized that he could kill two birds with one stone.

He was going to give his weapons the greatest honor of all by naming them after his friends (and possibly enemies) of the past....

Simply saying he was going to give these weapons honor by naming them was not going to be enough, though. Sei had to show gestures to show that he really cared about these people, whether it was with love or hate. His weapons were not only getting names, but makeovers to the most extreme extent. The first would be his Kusari Gama, he would find someone fitting of a weapon that constantly brought death.

It destroyed countless people in battle, and still remained intact. It always gave Sei an air of arrogance whenever he threw the chained scythe towards somebody. Furthermore, the more the mute relied on the weapon, the more menacing it seemed to become. Sei could think of no other person better to name the weapon for than Seth Dahlios. The demon from Lavinya would be the first of the group to receive a namesake in the form of Sei's weapons.

The mute did not have time to focus on the other weapons for the time being. He had the perfect idea on how to honor both the weapon and the man, but he would have to do some traveling. He informed Anita of his decision, and was placing a few things in a small bag when Jensen Ambrose busted into his room. Sei always welcomed Jensen, as the man was Sei's primary bodyguard. It appeared, however, that the immortal was furious with Sei.

"You're naming weapons after great people, and you didn't think that I would want one?! Just when I thought you couldn't be any more of a fagot, you go and make things faggier by not including me!" Sei had never thought that Jensen was one for sentimentality. The mute nodded in response to the man, who stopped in his rant to stare at the telepath. To say he was shocked was a grave understatement.

"You're absolutely right Jensen. As a matter of fact, I have the perfect weapon to name after a warrior such as yourself." Sei walked over to the table and felt around, pulling a simple butter knife from the surface. As Sei flashed the blade to Jensen, it seemed as though the immortal's rage was rekindled anew. "A fucking BUTTERKNIFE?!?"

"Yes. Swords, axes, spears, they come and go. But rarely does a butter knife have a shorter lifespan than it's owner. Don't you see Jensen? A butter knife may seem harmless, but it can pack enough force to it to make it dangerous none the less. Furthermore, the lifespan of a butter knife is so long, it is almost immortal, if kept in good condition. What better way to honor you than by having this 'Ambrose Blade' on me, always?"

Jensen seemed rather confused by Sei's rather elegant use of a simple butter knife. So confused Jensen was, that the immortal simply walked out without as much as a single reply. Sei could hear him yelling 'BOO YAH" or some variation at Stephanie and Adolph. The mute smiled as he finished packing his bags and left the cave. He stuffed the Ambrose Blade in his pocket, and headed towards his destination.

If he was honoring Seth Dahlios, he would have to go to Lavinya.

Lavinya was...quaint, to say the least. Considering the townspeople had a constant fear of becoming undead in the back of their minds, Sei noticed they adapted quite nicely. The town reminded the mute a bit of Radasanth, aside from the constant terror lurking around. When Sei had started his travels here, he had to slay several zombies and one or two vampires before he made it to the town.

Naturally, the townsfolk were distrust worthy of a stranger arriving. Sei factored this in, and gave the people a simple peace offering, the heads of all the abominations he had slain. Realizing that the mute was at least sort-of human, they welcomed him. Sei waited a bit before he used his telepathy, gaining the people's trust as a mute before relaxing them into a state where his telepathy would be accepted.

Sei spent about two weeks in Lavinya, learning the tricks of the trade in undead slaying. He also picked up an embarrassing story or two about Seth Dahlios, and shared several words of the man's adventures himself. As the time shifted on, Sei began to explain the purpose of his journey to the villagers. Almost everybody pointed the mute in the direction of a humble blacksmith in the corner of the town.

The scent of ironwork and burning bodies filled the mute's nostrils. It seemed as though their smithy doubled as a cremator. Sei looked around at the hill of bodies formed to the side of the shop. It became more apparent that this smithy actually burned undead corpses, rather than live ones. As Sei explained what he wanted, the blacksmith nodded with a smile.

"Are you sure about this?" he asked, stroking his crimson beard, "I mean, Seth Dahlios is pretty much hated everywhere else now." Sei nodded. He would not back down from his request. The burly blacksmith shrugged and dusted off the black apron he was wearing. "Alrighty then...."

He took the Kusari-Gama from the counter top and went behind a curtain. Sei could hear the sounds of metal being chipped at, as well as the worker grunting at some points. After about half an hour, the man came back with the weapon. Sei picked up the scythe handle with one hand, and the metal bar with another. He had not requested an update to the weapon, but an engraving. Looking at the blade of the Kusari-Gama, Sei smiled at its words.

Seth Dahlios - Lavinian Pride

Sei nodded to the man and placed several gold coins on the table. Now, he had every right to rename his unique weapon The Dahlios. It would be true to its namesake, Sei was sure. As he wrapped the chain around his waist and tucked the blade and bar just above his pelvis, Sei noticed something. His makeshift belt felt lighter, almost as if it was happy not to be a common weapon anymore. The mute grinned as he turned from the smithy and began his trek back to the Lavinya Inn, planning to gather his things and continue his quest.

The waves that crashed against the boat heading out of Lavinya made Sei smile. Perhaps he would encounter a storm on his way back, and that would motivate him to decide on names for the other weapons. So far, he had the Ambrose Blade and the Dahlios at his side, but he needed a way to honor older people. He couldn't head to every person's home town and get their names imbued on their weapons, which would take far too long and just seem silly.

The mute felt several rain drops on his head and looked upwards. A storm was indeed brewing. The tiny pecking sounds of water hitting the deck of the boat made Sei smile, as did the smell of dry dirt meeting with rain water lifting into his nostrils. Despite reports of bad weather, the crew took off in the watercraft anyways, confident in their transportation's sturdiness.

Sei decided he did not want to get soaked today, and opted instead to head down below, to the crewman’s quarters. He had been offered the Captain's cabin, but refused. Sei was a man of the people, and he was happy enough to sleep in the same chambers as them. As Sei made his way down, he noticed several deck hands trying to tie down some crates. Sei raised an eyebrow at the activity and began to approach in an attempt to help.

As Sei took the first few steps, the boat they were on ran into a nasty wave at its side. This caused a deck hand to lose his grip on the rope, and one of the crates to come flying at the telepath. Sei stumbled backwards from the shift in angle caused by the boat, but put his hands out none the less. He managed to catch the crate as it fell. He then began a battle of wills with the inanimate object, the cargo wishing to crush Sei into the stairs, and Sei attempting to push it back into place.

Sei only got a few steps forward when the ship shifted back to how it was supposed to be. This caused Sei to stumble, and the crate to go flying back to the crewmen. Luckily, the five crewmen had all secured the rest of their shipment, and were now ready for the crate. They caught it and helped their clumsy co-worker place the object back, several of its contents starting to spill out.

One man noticed and shouted to the others. "COVER YOUR NOSES, IDIOTS!"

The men looked down once finishing their task and quickly obeyed. Sei approached the group, who issued the same warning to their guest. Sei looked at the five flowers and his eyes widened. Who knew such a precious flower was common in Lavinya? It was probably due to the fact that the undead didn't so much bother plant life, and few humans dared to go into the forests.

Sei held his breath and gathered the flowers, quickly stuffing placing them in his hand and wrapping them in the vlince cloth that typically draped down his shoulder. The sailors and Sei finally exhaled once the mute was done, one of the men approaching the mute to thank him.

"You can keep those soenma flowers that you have, sir. We collected a bunch of them during our trip to Lavinya, though it cost us a good friend or two. Luckily, these things sell for enough that we can make their widows happy women." Sei eyed the sailor with distaste for his greed, which caused him to sink back into the crowd.

Looking back to his cloth, Sei thought about the soenma flower. He had only encountered it a couple of times, and only one person seemed to build up immunity to the things. Kadarus Salidan, Sei believed his name was. The man was a good fighter, a nymphomaniac, and once he wore a bandanna, a man with split personalities. He had heard stories of the second personality, Prince Raelyse, and several of his exploits throughout the land. Perhaps the exact names were pure coincidence, but Sei didn't think so.

Sei smiled as he felt something tug at his pocket. Reaching into his left pocket, he withdrew one of his close-range battle fans, and one of his throwing fans. It seemed as though the mystic's weapons were making the decision for him. It looked like the two fans, after a few modifications, were going to be Kade and Raelyse....

When Sei returned home, the mute spent wasted no time with getting back to his room. In order to honor Kade and Raelyse like he planned, the scent of the soenma flower had to remain potent. The mute still had the plants covered by his vlince cloth, wrapped tightly so nobody would breathe in their intoxicating smell. Sei brought the package onto his table and set it down on the oak surface. running back into the main room of the tomb to withdraw a few books from their shelves.

Sei got back to the table and opened the first book, his eyes darting back and forth as he read the text before him. He had to do this right, or the fans were not going to be of any use to him. By the time Sei had finished reading the second book, two hours had passed, and the mute had set the two fans, completely unfolded, on the table beside the wrapped up soenma. The mute closed the book as he unwrapped the flowers from their prison, their intoxicatingly sweet smell attempting to enter Sei's nostrils.

The mute grabbed the first of the five flowers and tore it in half, the yellow pollen to the flower spilling onto his table and over its brethren. Sei then placed each half of the flower onto each of his fans. He then grabbed two flowers for each fan and placed them down beside their fallen friend. Sei closed his eyes and lifted his palms up to face the fans, concentrating all of his thoughts into his goal.

He could feel the threads of light magic wrapping around his digits, slowly leaving his fingertips and swirling around the flowers that lay upon each fan. The sensation felt as though a small snake was attempting to squeeze the life out of all of the mute's fingers, but he could feel the warmth of the light magic within him keeping him safe. As the magic began to work itself around the fans, Sei knew that his plan was working. The two books of 'Enchanting Items for the Somewhat Capable' seemed to be taking effect.

Sei opened his eyes to find the soenma flowers dried up. A smile formed around the mute when he picked up the plants and found no pollen dripping from the once full item. Sei had successfully enchanted both of the fans with the pollen of the soenma flower. Moving the flowers to the wastebasket beside his work table, Sei picked his weapons up.

"Jensen, can I see you for a moment?"

The man walked into the room a few minutes later. Sei smiled as Jensen's brown eyes stared the mute down. "What the fuck is it Fairy King? You won't say hi to anyone and now you're asking to see me in your bedroom? I don't swing that way!" Sei shook his head at the crudeness of his primary bodyguard, deciding it would be better to respond with action.

Sei took the two fans and waved them up and down towards his 'friend'. A slight breeze seemed to brush the reddish hair of the immortal back, and his eyes became rather wide. Sei watched the shocked reaction of the man, who simply took a hard swallow, and ran out of the room in a hurry. Sei grinned at the fact that Jensen did not even have time to say goodbye, the euphoria that washed over him probably making it so the man needed a few minutes alone.

Sure enough, a few moments later, Sei heard Stephanie screaming down the hall, demanding Jensen let her back in the room. These demands were quickly followed by sounds of being grossed out. The soenma's effects worked better than Sei could imagine. Jensen had been overcome with a sense of lust and euphoria, and those two feelings in a man were not a good combination. Sei knew exactly the sounds Stephanie had heard on the outside of the door, and the thought kind of grossed the mute out too.

Now, all that was left on the fans was to get an artist to draw the legendary flowers over the gold dragons that were currently painted on. Sei would find that the fans would be a greater asset to him, now that they had the added effect of making people need to relieve their desires somehow...

Sei was quickly narrowing down his weapons, finding it easier and easier to find names for the objects. It seemed that the mute's weapons wished to have names themselves, and would 'tell' the telepath whenever they felt right with the names they were given. There were only the two remaining fans, his chakrams, and the emei piercer left to name, and Sei's quest would be complete.

However, as Sei sat at the table looking at his two unaltered fans, a name never came to him. Sure, he ran through a list of Althanas best and brightest, but nothing seemed to catch the attention of the fans as Kade and Raelyse did. Sei spent several hours awake going through a list of characters he had come into contact with in the past.

Dyne? No.... Zieg Tulfried? Apparently not... Devon Starslayer? Already has a weapon named after him.. It seemed that these fans had a particular name already chosen for themselves. It was just a guessing game now as to which names they would prefer to be called. Sei now understood what Taka meant when he talked about his blade being one with him. The mute had originally dismissed such actions as all in the samurai's head, but now it was becoming more and more clear that weapons were not just instruments, they were extensions of one's soul.

As Sei pondered on this, his eyes began to grow heavy. The mute attempted to lift his eyelids upwards in an attempt to stay awake. It worked for a few moments, but soon after he would be closing his orbs once more. Sei tried to stay awake, but when his head started slumping downwards, his eyes closed for the final time that night. Sei sat in the chair, a victim of sleep depravity finally giving into the warming embrace of slumber.

"I'm disappointed in you, Sei." The voice said into the mute's mind. All Sei could see was black, and the mute was absolutely sure he was dreaming this sequence. "After all we've been through, all you've done for the people with inner demons, and you haven't thought about the one that got away?" Sei could only try to reflect upon what the voice meant. Who did he not relieve of their inner demons?

"I'm sure the other guy would be disappointed too. Think about it Sei. Does my voice not sound familiar? Does it not bring something out from the back of your mind?" Sei nodded, confirming that he did know the voice touched some part of his recollection. The question was why, and who?

"Fine, I'll make it easier for you." The voice spoke with a sigh on his tone. A small light began to fill the telepath's eyes, and his eyes widened at the sight that lay before him once the bright light subsided. Standing in front of the hero was a being of purple fur, long red and gold robes that covered his entire body. His head was not that of a human, but of a canine, more specifically a...

"Jackal!" Sei exclaimed with a bit of excitedness, and a bit of fear. Jackal was a dream demon. More correctly, he was a dream demon trapped in the mind of one Shadar Logath. The mute recalled trying to exorcise the beast from the man once, only to be denied by Jackal's power. Sei had heard tales many years ago about some sort of fusion that allowed Jackal to no longer exist, and allowed Shadar to be considered a dream demon himself. That was so long ago, the mute stood in awe at the taller beast before him.

"Now he gets it! The beast exclaimed, a hint of sarcasm in his voice, "Your fans. They want to be named after us, Sei. Someone as smart as you should have realized that. All of the weapons so far have had a common interest. One glaring common goal that you seem to be overlooking. If you step back from the individual to see the whole, you'd be able to notice it. For now, I will leave you with what Shadar and I want you to do in your quest to honor us...."

The demon leaned down to Sei's ear, whispering in it as Sei nodded the instructions. The mute could easily do something like that. Such things were not uncommon among Althanas. As Jackal stepped back from the mute, the white light filled Sei's eyes once more. This time however, it filled the entire room, completely blinding the mute and forcing him to close his eyes.

Sei's eyes shot open as the chair fell to the ground, his head making a loud thumping sound as it hit the hard rock surface below. Sei shook off the initial pain and rubbed the back of his head where a large lump would surely form. Standing upright, the mute looked to his two remaining fans. Like with Kade and Raelyse, one of these fans was for throwing (like Raelyse) and one was for melee combat (ala Kade). Sei grinned once he thought of how great a combination adding Jackal's request to the two fans would be.

Shadar, Jackal, Kade, and Raelyse would be nigh unstoppable once Sei finished his work on these fans.

Only an hour had passed since Sei had slipped into his dream. Naturally, such little rest kept the mute exhausted. This was a good thing, as Sei needed his drowsiness in order to implement the magic into Jackal. As he stared at the throwing fan, Sei placed both of his hands upon the weapon. He then shifted his gaze towards his book once more, his hand leaving the projectile in order to turn the page on occasion.

Once Sei gathered the incantation, he closed his eyes once more. As he began to concentrate his magics into the fan as he had before, he felt his own restless form start to perk up. Sei was infusing the fan with the tiredness he was experiencing mere moments ago. It was very fitting that the fan called 'Jackal' would put his opponents in a weary state. Jackal had been a dream demon, after all. Once the enchantment was completed, Sei withdrew Shadar from his pocket and placed it beside Jackal.

The mute no longer had a need to enchant this weapon, as all the feelings of tiredness were now transferred into the fan's brother. However, according to Jackal, the melee fan would deal more damage to people now according to how sleepy their persons were. Jackal was never the trustworthy sort, but Sei for some reason felt compelled to believe the beast-man in this instance.

That only left the emei piercer and the chakrams. Sei stood looking at his arsenal as he thought about how he should go about finding warriors that deserved such praise. As the mute stood there in thought, he heard a knock on his door. Before he could even acknowledge the sound, in ran his niece, Kyla Orlouge. Kyla began to talk about how unfair it was that she only had two pairs of shoes, and Anita had eight. Never mind the fact that Anita had been with Sei for ten years, as opposed to Kyla's three months.

Sei looked to Jackal with a slight smile. He did need to test it's abilities out. Lifting up the fan, Sei looked to Kyla and nodded, not really paying attention but knowing that she was asking for more shoes. "You're absolutely right Kylana. In fact, all of that talking must be making you hot, allow me to cool you off for a moment." Sei began to wave the fan in front of the confused girl's face.

True to the enchantment, Kyla began to dose off while standing up. When her body began to slump to the ground, Sei dashed towards his 'daughter' and grabbed her form. Holding her in his arms, Sei smiled as he took Kyla back to her room. Walking into the girl's asylum, he set the teen on her bed, taking a bag of GP out of his pocket and placing it on the night stand beside her bed. He then took several cans of Dr. Paprika that were half way finished off of the night stand and proceeded to take them to the kitchen.

Jackal worked. Sure, it wasn't the most tactful way to try it out, but at least the mute knew that the effects were powerful. Sei grinned as he emptied the tin cans in the sink of the kitchen, thinking about how he could make armor with all of the cans he collected from the girl's room. As Sei rinsed the cans out, he looked towards a map somebody happened to place beside the sink, several places circled in red marker.

Those are the old Bandit Brotherhood hideouts Sei thought to himself, I wonder if any of them are still around...

Jumping around from spot to spot in Concordia was rather uneventful. The BB hideouts were still around, and seemed to be in good condition. It was the lack of people within the walls that concerned Sei. It was natural that once the bandit’s leader, Yari Rafanas, disappeared, that the Brotherhood was sure to follow. Rafanas had a sheer charisma about him, something that rallied people to his cause, even if his cause was immoral. The mute could think of a few people with similar traits that came to mind when he thought of the former group leader.

Walking into one of the Brotherhood's abandoned forts, Sei looked around at the wooden homes built around the area. Vines from various trees draped over the area as if it were providing a roof to the sanctuary. The telepath noted the smell of mold and stagnation in the air. It seemed that the only beings that had been living here in a while were the animals. Sei took several steps in the soft dirt as he looked for any signs of life he could communicate with.

When the telepath heard the shuffling of feet from inside one of the houses, his hand instinctively formed into a fist. He continued to eye the opened doorway of the oak-built home. It was pain-stakingly obvious that the mystic was not going anywhere until he found the source of the sound. Slowly, a small, bald head came into Sei's vision. The head was attached to a wrinkled face and a long flowing white beard. The old man slowly stepped into the doorway in full form. Sei took note of his tattered clothes and malnourished bones. Had he just been living on what he caught?

"Force 'o' habit, Lord Orlouge," said the older man in a skittish tone, "Name's Tobias, Scribe o the history o this here outpost." Sei unclenched his fist, assessing this man to be of no real threat to him. Sei would have made conversation by asking what had happened, but it was easy to see the answer to that question.

"Yep, after everyone realized Lord Rafanas wasn't comin back, they turned tail and run. All except for Tobias Scribe!" Sei raised his eyebrow at the man. Did he really change his surname to his profession? Or was that just a big coincidence of sorts? Sei couldn't figure it out, but he was certain that this man had probably been one of the actual bandits once he saw the crest of the Brotherhood torn in pieces at his shoulder.

The man in the brown robes approached Sei, evaluating his form. "Strong chin, I see. Like Lord Rafanas. Good posture, unlike Lord Rafanas. I'd say you've got just about all the good traits of Lord Rafanas without any of the bad ones." Sei blinked at this review of his character from a man he didn't know. The mute may have questioned the geriatric further until he realized a swift hand was going for his pockets.

Sei swatted the wrinkled hand away with his own left palm. Tobias withdrew the appendage back into his form. "Quick enough to even catch my hand. You're every bit the legends say, you are!" Sei realized the game Tobias was playing now. He talked people up from their stature in order to make them feel good about themselves. When they were fully basking in their own arrogance, the thief would strike and take something minor. As Tobias nodded up and down like an overenthusiastic puppy, his eyes caught hint of something.

"That's a fine gold ring you have there sir! I bet it's worth a pretty penny, I do! How much did it cost you?" Sei remained stalwart in not answering the man's questions. The telepath’s hand instinctively swatter again, once more making contact with Tobias' hand. Tobias pulled away and took a step back. "You're definitely as quick as Lord Rafanas, and I'm sure that ring has some value to you, as much as Lord Rafanas' own spear did. What's its significance?"

"A weapon." Sei stood there, still keeping a weary eye on his attempted robber. Tobias nodded up and down, not knowing how the accessory could be a weapon, but not questioning what the man with far greater skills was saying. "I see, I see. Does it have a name then? Since it is a weapon after all, it is?"

Sei paused at this question, his hand coming down on the quick fingers of Tobias once more. He still didn't have a name for the emei piercer. Sei thought long and hard about this in the span of a few moments. It hid in plain sight waiting for a good chance to strike. It was a minor defense in the shadow of its more powerful, bigger brethren, but it could be just as deadly if you got too close.

Looking back towards Tobias with another swat at the other man's hand, Sei smiled. "The Rafanas. The ring is called the Rafanas."

Silence Sei

"A good name, it is!" Tobias replied with a smile, "I bet it's as fast as you and Lord Rafanas himself, I do!" Sei was getting really tired of the speech quirks this man was exhibiting. Furthermore, Sei was getting rather tired of swatting the hand away. Tobias Scribe was becoming a rather annoying individual. Sei reached to his pocket to grab his sleep fan, finding his right pocket completely empty. As Sei raised an eyebrow about the oddity, he reached into his left pocket to find it empty too. Tobias had robbed the mystic's pockets dry, but when?

He wasn't trying to take stuff with just one hand. He was using both while making sure one of them was slower so I would catch it. I got so distracted by one hand, I didn't realize the other was busy taking my stuff. It was a rather neat trick, shooting both hands out at varying speeds in order to steal a few things at a time. Tobias Scribe earned his place in the Bandit Brotherhood, that much was for sure.

"Very clever, now drop the disguise."

Tobias blinked for a moment at the words. It was as if Sei was speaking a foreign language. "Come again, Lord Orlouge? I don't know wha--"

"Don't play dumb. You're not an old man. You're a bandit and a hunter, and a rather good one at that. Calling yourself Tobias Scribe wasn't a good first move. Using that technique of yours so often was another mistake. No old man could try and steal that many times without becoming tired. Furthermore, whenever I slapped your hand, you never once rubbed it. Such a hit is just annoying to a younger man, but would leave quite the bruise on an older one."

Tobias flashed a grin of perfectly white teeth at Sei. "Okay, so you caught me. Guess you want your stuff back, huh?" Tobias began to empty his pockets and offer all four of Sei's fans back to him. Sei took the weapons while giving Tobias a scolding look. "I'm just trying to survive out here through any means necessary. Can you really blame me?"

The entire voice had changed. It was more youthful and less shrill. The man took the beard off revealing a clean-shaven face. The flesh-colored skin cap he was wearing was also removed to reveal unkempt red hair. The brown tattered robes were then removed to reveal fishnet leggings, a tight purple top, and black heel shoes. As Sei watched Tobias take out the contacts he was wearing, Sei found out that he was not a he at all.

"My real name is Tobias Greenleaf," she said as she removed covers from the top of her ears, revealing the pointy elf quality. "I started off in the Brotherhood, but only for a few weeks before everybody left. I've lived in Concordia all my life, so I figured living in already established houses would be a good way for me to hunt and steal without being disturbed. Didn't think the Hero of Radasanth would come for me."

"Yes you did," Sei said, turning around and starting to walk out of the man made fortress. "You knew I was an eventuality. You were trying to prove your worth. Lucky for you, you actually did. You coming?" The question lit up the eyes of the female elf, who nodded and quickly followed the mute.

"Ya know what, I'm feeling so generous, I might even show you how I do that trick..."

Silence Sei
06-11-10, 08:30 AM
The entire way back to Radasanth, Tobias taught Sei how to throw his hands out at different speeds. The parlor trick wouldn't have worked on the mute twice now that he realized how it was done. Sei also came to find that he overcompensated whichever hand was wearing his ring. Factoring in the slight weight change made the mystic always shoot the hand with his weapon on it faster than his unarmed hand.

Of course, returning to the Tomb with an elf put Jensen in absolute hysterics. The immortal hated elves for some reason, and the fact that Sei informed him that the bandit would be teaching the troops lessons in speed and espionage enraged the bodyguard even further. He demanded to know why the 'fairy king' wanted to torture him so, but Sei just shook his head with a wry grin. It was almost as if he expected the reaction out of the man.

Sei reached down to his sides, finding his chakrams. One of them had still remained broken since his fights in the Cell tournament. He would have to ask Anita to come with him and get it repaired later. For now, both of the bladed rings needed names before Sei could find himself bringing his quest to a close. There were two individuals in particular Sei had thought of to name the weapons, the problem would be finding something that would give them physical properties of their name sakes.

Ter'Thok was a demon who had won the second LCC with the help of some sort of gargoyle girl. He had also won a tournament Sei hosted himself, the Lawdy familiar. Though Sei did not agree with the small demon's choices in life, his fighting prowess was unmatched. If Sei had remembered correctly, Ter'Thok always traveled with a rather large blob calling itself 'Hans'. Sei could always enchant fire, Ter'Thok's primary ability, into the chakram, but that would seem a bit cliché.

Then there was Neosaim Hyakureiki. This man had saved Althanas with the help of Shiryko Benimaru more times than even Sei had done. The difference was that nobody ever realized Neosaim had done it. This was because all of the dangers Neosaim and Shiryko encountered had been behind the scenes, waiting until the last minute to reveal itself to Althanas. The man had a fondness for cake, and was always trying to fight on the side of good, a trait Sei had always admired and aspired to.

Sei spent days pondering about the abilities he wished for these two weapons. Ter'Thok and Neosaim seemed to be the hardest of the warriors to name a weapon after. As Sei thought about this, there was a knock upon his door. As Sei looked to the gateway of his inner sanctum, he saw the familiar blue dress of Anita Orlouge and black fur of Felicity Orlouge. Both seemed to have a very concerned look upon their faces.

Uncle, you have been at this as much as Aislinn has been at her medical studies. We were hoping you could rest for a bit. Sei shook his head in response to the cursed mystic girl. How could he rest when he was so close to finishing? He could not, and he simply would not stop until his chakrams had something to honor his past. Anita sighed as she set a tray upon Sei's table, the two porcelain plates holding two rather unhealthy meals.

The first was a slice of cake, Sei could make out the 'H' from the words 'Happy Birthday' written in red frosting upon the white whipped cream surface. The second dish was a small plate of red gelatin, standing tall and proud as it vibrated with the motion of being set down. Sei leaned into the two deserts as if the two foods had seduced his mind. A quick smile formed across Sei's lips as he looked to both of the mystic girls. He stood up and ran out of the room, seeking the aid of the swordsman Hoturi and the knight Adolph for what he was about to do.

"Guess he's not hungry..." Anita said while looking at Felicity with a confused look.

"This is absolutely ridiculous," Andrew Octane scoffed as he stood in the bakery with Sei. The boy had agreed to come along with the mute as a result of his daughter begging him to. When Sei left on his own, he had a tendency of bringing back people that were closet cleptos. Maybe that was just one instance, but Anita couldn't afford another Tobias Greenleaf in the Tomb.

"Quiet Octane. As dumb as you may think it is, it's the perfect way to honor Neosaim for all he did."

"Neosaim was a moron and a sub-par warrior. I've known Radasanth Trout that could beat him in a fight. In fact, according to my records, I believe a Radasanth Trout -did- beat him in a fight."

Sei knew this was true, but chose to ignore it. Neosaim only exhibited his true skill when push came to shove. Not everyone had a natural flair for what they did like Sei and Octane did. The smell of fresh baked cakes and pies wafted through the area. Sei could see the open-air oven that was currently causing a breaded pastry to rise up, soon to be a delicious treat.

"I can't believe you're wanting me to do this, Lord Orlouge," a man in a tall chef hat said, holding the mystic's chakram. "If you think it'll do what you want it to, then I'm all for it, but I don't know...."

"You told me this was the bakery Neosaim Hyakureiki visited the most, right Octane?" The boy with Sei had the incredible ability to retain the knowledge of anyone who had ever set foot on Althanas. As a result, such trivial information as 'where did Neosaim go for cake if not his parents house' was easily answered by the boy's skill. Sei then looked back to the head chef with a nod, showing him that he did indeed want this to be done.

The baker nodded and placed the chakram on the ovens conveyer belt. It slowly rolled its way into the actual oven part of the device, taking over an hour for the bladed ring to come out. When it did, however, Sei could feel it, the new aura the bakery had created for the weapon. Sei had infused the weapon with some of his light magic, attempting to have it absorb any residual cake energies that cackled through the inside of the intimidating machine. While the chakram passed through the oven, it did its job and Sei could feel it. As strange as it sounded, Sei could feel cakes being more likely to come into contact with the youngest of the Orlouge brothers now.

"Okay, you're chakram has a higher cake ratio now. Can we leave please?" Sei nodded as he grabbed an oven mitt and then grabbed his red-hot weapon. He would return the hand ware protection later, but for now he had to keep the weapon from making contact with anyone. As Sei traveled through Radasanth holding a chakram with an oven mitt victoriously in the air, people began to mumble about their hero losing his sanity. Octane sighed and thought that he could die of sheer embarrassment just being associated with the Avatar of Alerar right now.

"So that only leaves Ter'Thok, right? I really doubt you're going to be able to find Hans." Sei turned to Octane with a blink. The mute kept records of the victors of the Lawdy Familiar. He knew exactly what Hans had been up to since his master disappeared. The mute just smiled his reply as they rushed back to the cave. They were now down to one weapon needing its special feature. Then, at long last, the mute would feel at ease once more.

"What you want, bug-man?" Sei stood before Hans, Ter'Thok's former familiar. The giant blob of red ooze still intimidated the mystic to no end. The two beady black eyes seemed to stare right into Sei's soul. Despite the fact that Hans had no mouth, he still managed to speak clear as day. Black eyebrows would form to convey emotions such as anger or sadness in the being, but Sei was hoping not to get either feeling out of the blob.

"I was hoping you could help me a little bit, Hans. You see, I want you to give a little bit of your power into this." Sei held up his chakram while looking through the transparent mass of goo. Despite Sei's efforts, his reply was marked on Hans' facial features, two bushy black eyebrows pointing towards where his nose would be in anger.

"Why would Hans do that?!" Sei had to think quickly. Hans was known for drowning people in his large mass, provided they were not crushed to death under the giant girth of the ooze. Sei had to think of how to properly phrase this to Hans. The being was as simple minded as a toddler, so talking to the being required a lot more finesse than normal on the mystic's part.

"I'm calling the weapon Ter'Thok. I just thought since this blade is like a small version of the demon, it would be lonely without a little Hans to help it out." Sei stopped for a moment to allow Hans to process all of the information he had just been given. It was a lot to take in and understand for someone with such a childlike mind.

"So da Boss was turned into da big ring thingie?" Sei sighed at the question, realizing that it may not be worth the effort to break stuff down to Hans. Hans took several more minutes trying to understand what the mute was saying before he gave Sei his reply.

The giant tendril of red came out of nowhere, attempting to slam down on the mystic. "You give da Boss back, Bug-Man!" Sei sighed in frustration once more. Hans didn't get it, Hans wouldn't get it, and now Sei had to fight against a being he had little to no chance of winning against. As another long tendril flew outwards, Sei ducked, listening to the trees Hans managed to saw with the tip of his 'arm' start to tip.

Sei hoped Ter’Thok would earn his keep in the mute's inventory.

Sei found himself dodging tendril after tendril put forth by the gelatinous beast. Several times he found that his side had been nicked by the razor sharp edges Hans was trying to kill him with. The mute knew that Mystic Protection wouldn't do anything aside from buy time, as Hans would just absorb the glass shards. Sei had to wait until he desperately needed to use his trademark spell before unleashing it on his much more powerful foe.

As Hans began to realize just how useless attacking Sei was with the tendrils, he began to throw out little red orbs towards the mute. Sei had managed to jump back behind a shrub that took the brunt of the attack. It was then that Sei watched the small marble sized goop eat away at the plant as if it were made of an acidic substance. Sei had been so focused on the damage done to the bush, he hadn't realized a single orb made its way to his shoulder.

Sei felt the flesh on his left shoulder burning, and quickly responded by trying to remove his shirt. The plan worked a bit, making the wound feel more like an annoying stinging rather than anything truly painful. It seemed as though the gel had not entirely eaten through the mute's clothes quite yet.

Sei's distraction would cost him, as a tendril was fired out from his monstrous opponent once more, finding itself on the inside of the mute's belly. Sei's eyes widened as he met the mad eyes of Hans. The blobs bushy eyebrows began to disappear as the 'blade' bit a little deeper into the hero. Sei took a hard swallow as he reached to his side once more. Finding the repaired chakram known as Ter'Thok. Sei brought the metal ring up into the air, and quickly struck true towards the 'limb' before Hans could dig into Sei's gut any further.

Hans let out a howl that could be heard throughout the forest. The slime that made up Hans' body leaked out of Sei with the telepath's own blue blood. Sei knew that his insides had suffered some major lacerations. It was foolish of him to try and go up to such a volatile and giant beast alone. Sei just thought he would be able to reach Hans' childlike mind. Sei's eyes remained open for just a few more moments, remaining focused on the glob known as Hans as it began to retreat into the forest to mend its wounds. Apparently 'da Boss' wasn't worth the blob losing his life over anymore.

Sei smiled at the irony of things. He had only encountered a little bit of danger in naming all of his weapons. He had saved the chakrams for last because they were the first he had gained through his travels. Sei dropped to his knees and thought about his life as it flashed before him in bits and spurts. The mute finally collapsed on the ground, a fine pool of purple liquid splashing onto his face. It was here that the journey to name Sei's weapons ended.

Sei opened his eyes to find that he was staring directly at the ice-cold azure orbs of his niece. Aislinn Orlouge was standing over his body, apparently the first one there. She motioned for the rest to come in once she confirmed that her uncle was truly awake, and not just having seizure-like reflexes. Once everybody had gathered around, Sei smiled to his friends and family, all of whom were concerned for him.

He saw Jensen in the far back, looking off like he didn't care. He did catch the glimpse of the immortal looking in Sei's direction every now and then however. Anita and Kyla were asking questions a mile a minute, trying to get information on what had happened. Felicity Orlouge stood atop of the mute's chest, the cat's hind paws kind of resting uneasily on his stomach. When Sei made a cringing motion, Felicity moved down to her uncle's legs to watch him. Jensen's comrades were with the Apocalypse Knight, though they both seemed more interested in paying attention to Sei than their friend at the moment.

Aislinn told Sei that William and Taka had been waiting outside for hours to get updates on the mute's condition. Sei could even feel the pull of Cassandra Reimi's Dark Companion in the room, lumbering over the mute's form to make sure he was okay. Sei could not quite place everything that was going on at the moment, as only Aislinn's words seemed to make sense to the mystic. Sei quickly closed his eyes again and drifted off to sleep once more, hearing Aislinn rush the rest of the group off due to her uncle needing rest.

When Sei awoke again he was in his own bed. The orange sheets had been carefully draped over him, and though he still had medical gauze completely around his stomach, there were no longer massive amounts of blood staining the ivory-colored bandages like in the IC ward. Bouquets and fruit baskets surrounded the king-sized bed of the Ixian Knights' leader. Apparently, these people must have thought that Sei died, or were just really generous with their offerings to help the mute get better.

Three knocks on the door and in walked Tobias Greenleaf. The woman eyed Sei up and down with a wry smirk, Sei noting a fruit basket already disappearing in the bandit's presence. "Hans got ya pretty good, huh?" Sei nodded his answer to the elf lady, an arm going across his still sore stomach. Tobias grinned and playfully punched Sei in the arm, reminding the mute that his shoulder had been injured with a jolt of pain sent directly to the arm.

"You're a tough little cuss, Sei Orlouge. I don't know anybody who got Hans' acidic property stuck to their weapon." Sei blinked for a moment at this, as if he did not understand. When Tobias caught this, she elaborated. "I can only assume you cut Hans with your chakram, cuz it was coated in red goo. I don't know what you got those things upgraded into to survive it, but they now have residual properties to em if you don't hold exactly where your hands had held the damned things. Aislinn nearly burned her hand off trying to pry the weapon from you."

Sei sat up in his bed finally. It seemed that everybody had been taking good care of him. "How did you guys find me?"

"I'm a bandit that's lived in Concordia all of her life. Andrew Octane knows what’s happening as it happens. Anita knew you were going to see Hans. You do the math here, genius." Tobias said in her crude way. Sei flashed a smile to her updates on what had happened. It was going to take a few more days for Sei's physiology to recover from the attack, but he would be as good as new within a week or two.

Sei looked over to the table with his weapons laid out neatly upon the cloth that bore them. A special steel plate had been placed under Ter'Thok, as its acidic nature would eat through regular cloth. Sei began to think of how much he had learned on this adventure. He had gotten back in touch with his past by reliving the heroes of old. He helped save the village of Lavinya from a few undead attacks, and he even found himself some good outposts courtesy of the former Bandit Brotherhood.

Sei slumped back into the bed and looked to Tobias, his smile still showing. "I need you to go get Jensen and come back. I think I want to tell you guys about my trip to Lavinya..."
