There was a time when I was a Warrior of the Dajas Pagoda; a position rightfully earned with blood, sweat and tears after the person I challenged nearly got his family jewels nommed clean off IC'ly.
My arena was a little different. It was more or less a carnival, ripped straight out of the 1960s. It had all your standard trappings; rides, midway games, overpriced food, and carnies with frighteningly blank gazes. The entire world was monochrome, which was a boon for me as I'm terrible with descriptive metaphors and it eased my burden somewhat.
The one battle I was able to fully complete in it--and by that I mean it had enough posts where it was eligible for judging--wasn't really a battle at all. It was more of a best-of-three carnival games competition, during which both combatants did some dirty cheating.
I liked that idea. It was probably my favorite battle of all time. Even better than the one where I totally kicked Christoph's ass in.
After helping out with a PR event for my college's radio station, I felt the sudden urge to put out some feelers to see who'd be up for an IC carnival game showdown.
Any takers?
