So yeah, Figured if MVC3 got its thread we can show off the new MK here for those interested. I'll put up a few summary points;

1) It goes back to being a 2-D fighter. SO despite the 3-D graphics it's just like SF4 in that you only have to worry about in front of you and above you.

2) This game is supposed to hearken back to the old days of MK as such these movies will be dark and blatantly brutal at points.

From what I can tell, with the exception of the beginning that's ALL game play footage.

Confirmed Characters so far are:

Johnny Cage
Sub Zero
Night Wolf
Scorpion
Reptile
Sektor
Mileena
Kung Lao

Confirmed Modes are;

1v1
2v2
Online 1v1
Online 2v2

Also rooms will hold up to eight players at a time, allowing the extraneous players to watch the action. Other than that I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing the classic Arcade mode. Other than that, it's anyone's guess.

You know, I'm not a big fan of MK

But bringing Sektor and Millena back helps me want to get back.

The lack of Cage's Ball Punch in any of those gameplay videos deterred me

The fatalities were a little too over the top, even for MK. Why the fuck would Scorpion split the head in half -after- decapitation?

But the X-Ray and tag team mechanic looks very very awesome.

Um...you didn't see Johnny Cage's X-Ray attack, it STARTS with the ball punch, followed by shattering the spine.
