MetalDrago walked through the Bazaar, watching peddlers and vagabonds doing their usual money-grubbing routine. It had been years since his last time here. As usual, his reasons for being here were very simple. He was looking to buy a weapon. He looked around and spotted a very likely looking weaponry shop. It was unassuming, the sign black from age and the windows clouded with dust. The Dragonian smiled. He knew that behind the most unassuming outward appearance, the greatest prize could be found.

He entered the establishment and went straight to the counter. The person behind the counter seemed to be busy doing something, as their back was turned, so the Dragonian waited, his clawed fingers lightly tapping the counter in boredom.

“I gots a bell you know,” the wizened, yet hearty man said as he turned around. His face was covered in a light coating of the honest-to-goodness work kind, his hands calloused and his skin leathery from years of working the billows. “What can I get for ya today? I gots all kindsa weapons from around here, and a wide range of tricks o’ the trade I can add on for an additional coin. I’ll need to basics first though.”

MetalDrago nodded as the man addressed him. “I didn’t want to disturb whatever it was you were doing.” He stopped tapping his fingers and looked around. “I’m looking for a mythril katana. Show me the best one you have, unenchanted.”

"Lucky you," the blacksmith said with a smirk, "I just got a masterwork mythril katana in from Akashima. It's a longsword by technicality, but curved and extremely well made. I have it in the back, still in the package, haven't even taken it out of the crate yet to put it on display. Not cheap by far, due to the blacksmith it came from as well as the travel fee, but I could let it go for a 1000 gold."

MetalDrago pondered for a moment. "If it has a one and one half hand cloth-wrapped handle, you've got yourself a deal."

"Not only that, my dragonian friend, it comes with it's own leather sheath!" The man hurried to the back. After what could undoubtedly have sounded like a man fighting tooth and nail with a plank of wood and more hay than a horse could eat in a week, he was back with the blade and the sheath in separate hands. "Your sword is here, just need the money."

MetalDrago smiled slightly and put a bag full of gold on the table... For a mere thousand, this sword was well worth it. He took the sword in hand and walked away, leaving the money on the table. An evil smile covered his face as he left. He had expected a less well crafted sword at a higher price, but this was much more than he had expected. This sword would be one of the highest prizes of his collection. This sword would be called the Shadow of Light.
