Im going to be quite frank, while this character meets gua's BA standards, I have no idea as to what is overpowered here, so in essence, he is simply going to be copied to over here and I will add onto the history explaining why he is on Althanas.

I would love to use this new character here on Althanas, but I am mainly using this as a gauge to understand what kind of stuff I need to be careful of over here in Althanas. His spell book is massive, but to be approved for the element combo that I wanted (dark/light and later spectral) he had to have it.

Description: Another Shadow Angel, like Striker, but Artilitha (Ar-til-itha) is a very powerful creature who looks like black flames frozen in time, giving him a demonic cast. His head is draconic in appearence while maintaining the frozen flame appearence. He has black wings that, as with the rest of his body, look flame, and draconic-like.

Name: Artilitha

Primary Element: Dark

Secondary Element: Light

Race: Shadow Angel

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Gender: voice and violent tendencies believed to be male

Age: 226

Eyes: Blazing Red

Hair: No hair to be told

Height: 6'6

Weight: 256 lbs

Home: None/ Wandering Spirit

Other: Artilitha, when he was reborn as a Shadow Angel, retained some of his mortality from his life with mortals, thus not giving him a dual personality, but instead giving him a clearer concience, as the Shadow Angels normally have muddled thoughts and are purely devoted to darkness. Artilitha and Striker are the exceptions to this rule. Striker maintained all of his mortal concience, first since Nenal, while Artilitha maintained bits and pieces of it.

Artilitha tends to be very contradictory of himself, sometimes he will avoid fights at all costs, at other times he will do whatever it takes to cause and start a fight. This is because of the bits and pieces of his mortality that he retained, one part of him says fight, the other says back down. Which usually causes him to act the opposite of whichever side of him holds sway at the time, making him very chaotic. This type existence alows him to control both dark and light, with near equality, but as a Shadow Angel, dark gained a slight dominace over light.

Abilities:

Tough Skin-Because of his odd shape and appearence, Artilitha's body has developed to be come a powerful shell, while he still feels pain from hits he recieves, and has a moderate to low pain tolerance, Artilitha is still vulnerable, but drawing blood is unlikely without a fairly powerful strike.

Angel- As with Striker these wings can appear at will and allow Artilitha to fly at high velocities.

Meld with Shadows- Trademark of a Shadow Angel, this allows Artilitha to sink into the shadows and move within them, he is invulnerable in this stage, but he cannot attack either.

Call of Aid- While he is no longer the Lord of Shadows, Artilitha still has a loyal companion that will come when he calls. Part of a shadow race known as the Black Hawks, Calra (Kal-ra) is a an elevated Nightstalker, faster, stronger, and more capable, although the only difference in appearence is that Calra is larger. Calra is a rival to Yinyang's Hell Spawn.

Equipment:

Armour: none

Spell Name: Shockwave
Strength: 5
Description: Artilitha crosses his arms in front of his chest, light energy gathers around him, and as though he is breaking free from being tied together, he releases himself from his little bubble of light, causing the light to fly apart quickly, and cause damage, and knock opponents backwards.

Spell Name: Flash Bang Grenade

Hybrid Spells (neither spectral, dark, or light)

Spell Name: Spectral Ghost
Strength: 7
Description: Creates a copy of Artilitha, the shell or the body, by creating an illusion from light magic, and then channeling shadows, the darkness combines to the body, made from light magic, to create an illusion capable of inflicting a great deal of harm as it attacks in a similar manner as Artilitha. Eventually dissapates, but cannot be killed unless struck directly through the heart, or by removing its head. Takes 2 posts to occur, and can be interrupted.

Informational

History of the Shadow Angels

The history of the Shadow Angels is short and written in blood. Five million years ago a man was struck down unjustly, killed in the most horrible way imaginable.

Refusing to subcumb to death, and pass into the void, he was reborn in shadow. Thus the first Shadow Angel came into existence. He had no memory left as to how he had died, but he knew that he would exact vengeance, as he searched for his identity.

Using his newfound powers, Nenal, "Nightstalker" in the language of shadows, tracked, and then hunted all of his "killers" down, and made them become the victim of the same death they had tried to exact on him.

Immediately, after exacting vengeance, Nenal went into hiding, spending the years training with weapons and learning the full extent of his powers. His studying allowed him to discover that he had gained complete and absolute control over all shadows.

Nenal, after learning how extensive his powers were, came back out into the open. He now served no one, and punished the unjust and cruel. He led an army of what quickly became known as, ironically enough, Nightstalkers.

Fierce, black humanoid creatures with blades for arms, they wreaked havoc among evil forces, and a golden age for Earth arrived.

However, all good things must come to an end. A renegade Nightstalker killed Nenal for a second time, and this time Nenal disappeared forever, and chaos swept the land.

History of Draconians

Draconians come in many shapes and sizes. But unbeknowest to most species of the galaxy, there are actually 3 races of Draconians. The first, which is the most commonly known, are the Dark Draconians.

Visious creatures, these draconians are little more than barbarians. Politics range from who is the strongest and cruelist, and brawling is common among them. Living their lives on plains or in mountains. The single thing that Dark Draconians are good at is fighting.

Although, even this, they are little more than mercenaries, or common thugs. The arts and lore is, for the most part non-existent. The second race is a different story.

The lore masters are simply known as "Keepers," and they are the masters of all of the music and lore of the draconian races. They are scrawny, but tall. These creatures are quite capable of matching their music and lore with the best bards of the galaxy.

Other than an occasional brawl, these creatures are fairly peaceful and get along well with other people.

But what the others are not, The Gilded draconians are. They are the leaders, the politicians and the real soldiers. Trained in warcraft, strategy, and politics all of their lives, all would be considered exceptionally gifted at leading when compared to other species throughout the galaxy.

The 3 races combined created a powerful race, one to be respected and feared, but the union of the three races was not to last.

Some great cataclysmic event separated the draconian races from one another, separating them by worlds rather than by miles. Our story begins with one of the Gilded Draconians, who will one day rise to be a hero, not for just his people, but for the universe...

History of Artilitha

Artilitha remembers little of his past, as is normal for a Shadow Angel. Although he does recall a small flashback, and it is the only thing that connects him with his previous life...

"What is going on?!" Artilitha asked as he awoke, finding himself tied in place by metal cords, while standing.

"This is our heretic!" A voice called to what Artilitha now recognized as a large crowd. "He has been tried and found guilty of it and is now sentenced to public torture and death so all of the heretics in the room may tell their friends what will become of them if they do not submit!"

A roar of approval met this statement. The crowd was apparently large, he now recognized the stadium and it was packed.

"I have been loyal to our cause since the beginning, and we have been duped! Our leaders plan to destroy all of us for the riches of the world..." A gloved fist connected with Artilitha's head as he spoke these words.

A united jeer arose from the crowd.

The speaker now sounded out again, "Listen to the lies and treachery this heretic speaks! His death shall be that of a thousand cuts!"

Another roar of approval met this statement.

"No it wasn't me!" Artilitha knew it was futile, and as the first zirconian steel blade cut him, he said softly, "Curse you my brother..."

When Artilitha awoke against all odds he found himself changed, unknowing of this...heresy he committed, and left with only that memory, he does not know who his brother is, and was left with pieces of his memory, nothing of which is significant enough to rediscover his past. These additional pieces, or memories, added something more to the usually brainwashed Shadow Angels, who can only control the element dark.

These "pieces" have created a subconcience, not really a dual personality, but a place in his mind that is not overcome by the feeling that creates the Shadow Angel. Artilitha was born in despair, but unlike most other Shadow Angels, he does not use this feeling in his spells, and does not use it in general

Although most of these "pieces" are insignificant little clues, one of them is a fact, or a knowledge of who he once was, and all that can be discerned from this little piece is pride, and the statement, "I am now a light master!"

The Shadow Angels are rarely mages in their previous lives, for it interferes with the transformation process. So instead of becoming a pure dark elementalist, they become hybrid creatures, making them exponentially more powerful.

Artilitha was a light mage in his past life, and because of his ability to harness light energy, and the natural aptitude for dark magic, because of being a Shadow Angel. This ability to control light magic has become a bunch of tiny pieces within a dark mind.

Because these little pieces have found haven in a darkened mind, it shines like a beacon in the night, and Artilitha finds that he is more than any other Shadow Angel, and gives him the ability to use light magic.

But more occured than even the shadows could have thought, the haven within his mind and the powers of the shadow angel clashed, but something, just clicked and the haven of light within his head, merged with his dark powers, and Artilitha became more than just a dark and light user.

His abilities are extremely chaotic, sometimes when he means to use a dark spell, he will use a light one instead. It is believed that if he truly harnesses the powers of both he will become something far greater than dark or light mage.

Using these abilities along with his ability as a sword fighter, nicknamed "Demon," which he has named his two handed blade after, Artilitha quickly gained control of all shadows, no matter where they be. With these abilities in mind, he has ruled fair and justly, and became known as "Dark Angel." Although he was given this name, Artilitha remains a chaotic neutral alignment, and ruling shadows did not appeal to him.

However, he did rule as Lord of Shadows for a long time, but then left suddenly, abandoning his ruling position, and was replaced by Striker. Artilitha has since then wandered the universe aimlessly seeking challenges that no mortal could overcome.

Artilitha has recently come upon the world of Althanas, seeking challenges as usual, but this time he comes for more.

Althanas is a world known to be rich in history and wars, Artilitha comes to expand his knowledge of the universe. Artilitha continues to wander with no clear purpose, merely taking on quests to keep himself from being bored.

Now like I said, the mod who reads this is probably going: "Holy crap! Way to powerful!"

But like I said, he's just here to gauge what kind of expectations are required from a good character. Ignore the Spectral spells, I can't use them over in gua yet, so they won't be used here either.

Heh, well first and foremost welcome to Althanas… though we do things much differently then GuA

~~Abilities~~
Your Tough Skin needs to have limits. How hard is the skin? As strong as Iron? That would be fair enough for now, especially with all the other things you have.

Your Angel skill, you need to have a set limit with height and distance you are able to travel, as well you are not allowed to use the wings in a battle against another PC (battle or quest) unless they approve of it first. Those limits must be set though…

Call of Aid: Elaborate, a lot. I don’t know what exactly a “Calra” is, or a “Yinyang Hell Spawn” nor do I know what a “nightstalker” is, much less elevated. If you are going to use this the Black Hawk needs limits. I don’t want to approve something that can tear apart another PC without thinking twice. That’s way to powerful. Give specifics, at least enough to get an idea of what it is. Height, weight, weapons, armor, abilities… that kind of stuff.

~~Weapons~~
We don’t do damage ratings, but we do have the types of metal the weapon is made of. If you are going to do that you need to give me the type of metal, iron or steel. And you can’t have poison on it, not to begin with at level 0. You can quest for it, or buy the enchantment later… but not to begin with.

Plus, do you have any skill with the sword? If you don’t list it you don’t have it. I don’t see anything, so if you go into a battle it’ll be like a giant chunk of metal being swung around… without some skill listed.

~~Spells~~
I’d suggest picking one shadow and one light, other then that the rest are going to have to go.

~~History~~
Where’d he come from? How’d he get on Althanas? Little things like that help a lot when you get to actually role playing here…

lol just as I figured, Osato, or any other mod, please just scrap him, this helped immensely, you see, I now know exactly how descriptive, how powerful, and how much I can let my imagination run rampant.

In the future, if you please, it would be better to read Getting Started (http://althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=1888) and General FAQ (http://althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=1896) instead of wasting time like this...

Please don't do this again, it's extremely irritating. If you have more questions just contact me via AIM at TheTaskmienster or PM this account and I can answer them.
