"Day 1,

Today, I've chosen to leave. I have survived twenty-four winters and yet I have not lived. Rarely have I set foot outside of this bakery, it's almost as if I have forgotten the sky. Many travellers have passed through to procure my wares and have shared tales of adventure and glory. Long have I desired to become a teller of such stories, yet I cling to the memories of the past that lay within these four walls.

It has been many years since my brother and sister left. I have not seen or heard from them in many years, and I fear our paths may never cross again. Though I know not where they have gone, I seek to set out on my own. Father entrusted this bakery to me, though I can no longer be held by it's chains. His legacy is not hear, it lives within us and I shall continue that legacy by seeing what this wide world has to offer. This is my last day in this tiny village.

I sought out what provisions I might find useful. The meager four gold pieces hardly seems worth bringing along. I shall offer them to the poor before I depart the village. My overcoat will shelter me from any possible harsh weather (I hope) and I have taken the last of father's Everbread. It should last me four weeks, unless I find other sources of food. I only wish I knew how to make more, perhaps then I could solve my food problems indefinitely.Though my skills are lacking compared to the great storytellers that have passed me by, I go now to write my own tale. What wonders lie ahead? I have chosen today to scribe this journal, that I may be able to recall my greatest moments again and again.

~Lucien"

Name: Lucien Carrick
Age: 24
Race: Human
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Height: 5' 9"
Weight: 177lbs
Languages: Common
Occupation: Baker

History:
Lucien grew up in a tiny village on the continent of Corone. The youngest of three children, his mother passed away during birth and he was raised by his father until the age of 5 when he too passed away. His eldest sibling (his brother Cale) cared for him until he left at the age of 19, leaving the task to his sister Maria. When Maria left, following in the footsteps of her brother the task of caring for their family bakery fell to Lucien. For a few years Lucien worked tirelessly to maintain what their father had built, believing his memory lay within the foundation of the business. As time went on, Carrick began to grow envious of the adventurers who would pass through en route to Underwood. They would tell tales of great adventures and even greater battles and it seemed as if the walls were closing in around him. Lucien chose on a whim to leave everything he had known behind to seek his own adventures with the hope that one day others would speak of him as they did the great heroes that had come before him.

Personality:
Lucien has a kind heart and a curous mind. He is far from "streetwise" having spent his entire life within the confines of a tiny village a few miles north of Underwood. Convinced he has missed out on a life of romance and adventure, Lucien is searching for his own stories to tell. He also suffers from a severe case of "hero worship" seeking to emulate those who told their stories while he sat wide-eyed absorbing every detail.

Appearance:
Lucien Carrick is about as average as one can get. Standing a respectable 5'9" and weighs an unintimidating 177lbs. His sheltered life has ensured him a fair complexion though his work in the bakery has given him slightly strong arms.

Skills:
None to speak of. He has never held a weapon, worn armor or even seen battle. Outside of being an accomplished baker, he is completely lacking in even the most basic skills he is going to require in order to survive life on his own.

Equipment:
Common Clothing
Minor Food Provisions
Belt Pouch (empty)
Walking stick (Oak)
