With a growl and a sigh, Dan Lagh'ratham threw open a shop door for perhaps the hundredth or even the three hundredth time in his life. It didn't particularly matter to him; he was more irate than he usually was on his shopping trips. Most likely it was his migraine, or perhaps the crossbow bolt sticking out of his neck that was causing the migraine. Muttering, he reached up and ripped it out and snapped it in two, stopping before the clerk's desk.

"Nh...all right. I need a few things...let's start simple. I'm in the need of at least..." he paused, and quickly began tapping spots on his body, muttering numbers. "Twenty four short delyn rods. No wider than your average coin, and only seven or eight inches long."

The shop keep was slightly taken aback at the appearance of the man. The removal of a metal pole from his skin did little to ease the man's stomach. When the man began to talk however; gold coins clanged in the shop keep's mind and all was forgotten.

"Just the rods ya say? I can do that for about 500 gp. What else do ya need?"

"Excellent. Exactly what I could have asked for." Smiling, Dan rubbed his hands in anticipation, but winced minutely at the sharp twist of pain in his head. He was famed in the Bazaar for his expenditures and giving no ill will to the merchants, a curious thing considering his reputation. Leaning against the counter, he tenderly rubbed the clotting, scabbed wound, and stared at the shop keep.

"What I'd like now is a weapon. Don't worry, you needn't be bringing in the dwarves and the cranes to pull this off...what I want, I've been calling a sword-mace. It is to be fashioned in the style of an Akashiman katana; however, instead of a blade, it is to possess a cylindrical structure with a flat top instead of a sharp end...I suppose the less educated would call it a club. I'd like its hilt to be decorated with braided red leather, and I want the best materials for its construction - mythril or prevalida. I want it heavy though - whether it has to be enchanted, or you have to drill out its core and will with with molten lead. I'd appreciate it if you gave me prices on a studded, and a non studded version....but really, that's unnecessary."

The slayer began to absently pick at some offensive thing beneath his nails. "And of course, I'm interested in any curios you may have come into possession of.

To make it easier, and to keep you from racking your poor brains for ideas, I've got a few relics that could be sold by the merchant to Dan.

Smaug's Pipe - A long, thin, silver tobacco pipe once used by the great dragon when walking the human world in their sheep's skin. The pipe can of course be used to simply indulge in a nice smoke; however, whether it be simple enchantment or some of the dragon's power having worn off on the pipe, at least twice a day, upon taking a drag from its contents, its posessor may breathe a plume of fire while exhaling that can cause painful burns to anyone caught in the blast. In order for its power to recharge, the pipe must be set and left in hot coals for one hour.

Ward Cloak - An unassuming cloak of black and gray with a high, static collar. For all intents and prurposes, the cloak is entirely average; its warm, excellent to concel the body, and is somewhat water proof to keep its wearer dry. However, its abilities come into play when the hood is pulled up over the head. When the hood is donned, the wearer is suddenly surrounded by a dark blue aura which acts, in effect like standard plynt armor. This effect stays in place so long as the hood remains up. However, it takes an aeromancer worth his salt the thought to blow the hood back with a gust, or any experienced fighter to knock the hood away, and the aura falls. The cloak never particularly became a popular item for this one flaw. It requires a rest period of nearly a day to recharge, and it will only do so if it is cleaned and folded nicely.

"Very Well, For the weapon I can make it for 1300 if you would like it one handed or 2500 for a two handed. That price includes the studs. You may take your pick of metals for that price, and I will insure it's weight is adequate. As far as relics go, I've just received this fun little trinket."

The blacksmith dug under the counter before bringing out a small tobacco pipe.

"Apparently it can help you breathe fire. I have been itching to try it out but haven't worked up the nerve as I'm not a smoker. I could let it go for around 800 gp. Is there anything else I can do for you?"

We're at 2600 total if you choose the single handed club, Or 3800 if you choose two handed.

"Ohhhh." Dan leaned forward with a wide smile, the splitting pain in his head seemingly forgotten in his excitement. He was probably one of the leading reason's Althanas's tobacco market was thriving; he liked his cigarettes, but he enjoyed pipes, too. He raised the long stem with uncharacteristic care, turned it over in his hands and inspected every detail of it. The thing was quite eye-catching....and if it did what the blacksmith said it did, it was well worth it.

"Sold," Dan muttered, and a short pile of eight hundred mark crowns appeared on the counter. His eyes were still fixed on the pipe.

"I could use some tobacco too, if you've any around here...I'll take the weapon one handed, in prevalida, and the delyn rods still...I think that makes me twenty six hundred in the hole." The coins began to pile up on the counter as thhey appeared from thin air, summoned from nothing with the link he had to his possessions. The sunlight glared off the piles. It looked like the raid from a very small dragon's horde.

"I think I can arrange a pack of smokes for you considering all you're getting today," the shop keep smiled, taking a pack of cigarettes from udner the counter and sliding them towards Dan as if he were trying to hide them from someone. He then took the money with a nod.

"Pleasure doin business with ya."
