The streets were lined with stalls and shop fronts. The sounds of haggling and exchanging of goods cascaded through the market and against Talen like a wave against a beach. The market was exactly like a sea of activity buffeting the individual with all sorts of stimulations. The little warrior moved through the throng with the ease of a child of the streets towards his destination. Today the youth was looking to buy something, an unusual occurrence for the miser little warrior.

Talen turned a corner as he scanned the shops through people's shoulders until he found one that might held him. He twisted and pushed through a wall of people and entered the small shop; “Mindy's Magical Device and Herbal Store”. It was a niche market, but apparently doing good business. Talen walked up to who he assumed was Mindy.

“Greetings, I'd like to purchase two things. Do you have a particular herbal mixture that can be smoked to increase someone's speed for the duration of a fight? Say half an hour? On an unrelated note, do you have a cigarette case that can duplicate any cigarette added to it?”

Basically I am looking for something that can boost Talen's speed before a fight. One of those once per day deals. I'd like it if it could be something smokable like a cigarette (cuz they are cool), the case would then allow Talen to use it once a day without it running out.

I imagine that a similar item in terms of usability would be boots that allow the wearer a once a day boost in speed. As for the specific boost, I am not sure how the pricing system works. Would it be speed of an additional person, or of a percentage? I'd love to have a stackable increase of one extra person's speed, but can I have the cost of half a person as well?

Mindy looked up as the young man entered the shop. She quickly wiped her hands on her apron and tried to get her hair to lay flat. It had been a busy day, and she had only had a moment to herself before the lad came in.

Mindy listened carefully as the young man explained his needs. As he mentioned smoking the woman had to hold in a 'tsk tsk'. Today's youth always seemed to want to grow up too fast. Ah well, money was money after all.

"The duplicate cigarette case would be merely a parlor trick item. It of course couldn't duplicate a cigarette that gave you a boost, but for a simple item that duplicates only regular cigarettes the going rate would be about 75 gp. Now for the other item, I can make the cigarette pack, with each one lasting a half hour as you requested. The cigarette pack would provide one cigarette per day. To double the speed would be about 850 gp but for simply one and a half times I could make it 475."


As it stands I'm going off of a three post limit on the increase. If you'd like more time let me know and I'll adjust the prices accordingly.

Talen clicked his tongue to give himself some time to think. The cost was a lot, but the youth really wanted something to increase his speed. The last few fights he had been involved in had ended badly, and a boost to his speed would go a long way to helping change the trend.

"Well then, doubling my speed would sure coming in handy. I'll take it."

If its under 1000 gold, i'd love to have it last for four posts at double the speed. Something like:

Cigarette Pack
This enchanted cigarette pack produces one special cigarette per day. The cigarette is a mixture of peculiar herbs which, when smoked, doubles Talen's (base) speed for roughly fifteen minutes (four posts).
