I took a long break from the site due to personal reasons, and now I've decided to return. I have one problem though, this character who I plan to continue to use is engaged in a major plot with two people who seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth. I find myself left with two options I can think of. Hit a full stop on any plot progress I've made and return to start with this character, or hit a full stop and make a new profile, what should I do? Also, I have gotten immensely better at writing in my opinion, and I look forward to getting back into the swing of things.
I personally wouldn't want to start a new profile, so a return to start would seem like the better plan. Just redo your path or create a new one.

A third option would be to pick up where the abandoned thread would have left off. If you knew the eventual outcome of the thread ahead of time (which I'm assuming you may have, if it factors heavily into the story you want to tell), you can always just play the character as if that thread concluded as planned.
You might have to spend the first couple posts of your next thread referencing and explaining to the reader what "happened" in the last thread to get them caught up, but using liquid time in such a manner is a more appealing option to some than rehashing the story from square one.

Well the proposed plot line had the other two as major characters, one would help bankroll the ENTIRE adventure, while the other one played a role in searching for a nonexistent cure for Jacks dilemma. I might just reinvent the plot and go for my first plan which was an odd assortment of characters roped together by a rather enigmatic employer....
Thanks for your ideas!
