Okay, so, I guess this thread won't be much use once we have a PG but just so we can kind of organize ourselves, just follow suit. This isn't a recruitment thread. If you have questions about joining, message Mutant_Lorenor.

Resourses to Bring to the Table: By the end of the month, I should be finished a short solo establishing a lab. I'll take requests for low level magic items at Level 1, but I reserve the right to take artistic liberties with the things I create.
What I'm looking to get out of this: An active power group, provided resources for magic item creation, a tutor.
Long-term goal(s): To enslave the remainder of my former people and a clan of giants, and bring about the destruction of althanas as we know it.

Long-term goal(s): To kill the witch Eldrusa (who is his current master and controller of his phylactery) and to also conquer Scara Brae (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=22004). Spread his blight of death and suffering to the rest of Althanas.

Yeah, I've noticed as much. Thank you for the concern Jack Frost. Currently this character is pretty planned out (see the link I put above in my post). The only way I can see him actually meeting Lorenor ICly in the moment is if his Witch-master were to know the mutant (which isn't hard to believe since she is a devote follower of N'Jal). First plan of action will be killing said witch, I have a solo going right now for that... I could bunny in Lorenor if he permits me to do so.
I also would like to add that for now Ouldran will be stationed in Scara Brae. There is no way around this, unless his master sends him on a mission to another place. I've noticed most of you are questing in Corone. If the Legion of Doom, as I have decided to label us (lol, j/k), should be so nice to send some agents to assist in the takeover of Scara Brae, that'd be very awesome :)
Sidenote: Anybody use the site chat on this list? Or AIM?

Even though I am the one who will be programming the website for the PG and putting it together, I would like the threads related to this project to be civil. There is a time and a place for everything, all joking aside, and I really wish that certain humour remain away from a potential recruitment thread. There are a lot of issues at stake. Meanwhile, now that we've gone PG, what's our objectives?
Purely from a tactical standpoint, there are some things to consider:
1) We need a standing army. I can use Cally's father to influence the demons, but in the OOC interests of fairplay, I can't promise the entirety of Haide/The Abyss. But I can promise a healthy number of demons and assorted abyssal inhabitants. As well, there's Lore's position as Grand Primus. Since he's King of the Undead, I'm certain we'll be able to get a significant force there as well.
2) A base of operations: The knights have Sei's tomb AND a castle! We have nothing. NOTHING! I have already suggusted to Lore via PM that he and I recruit an NPC Alerarian Scientist to create for us, a single fortress that pushes the boundaries of what is, and is not possible under current Althanian technology and magic. We should have a fortress to inspire terror in those who behold it, no mere stone and mortar for us.
3) The first strike: This is as important, if not more so, than the other two points. We need to ICly let the IK know we're here. How we do it is very important. It's not enough to simply send a formal note and declaration of war. We need to leave a lasting impression.
To that end, I say we do something that will not only leave a lasting impression in the minds of the IK, but in the whole world and all subsequent generations of Althanians to come. I say we level, destroy and completly remove Underwood, or Gisela, from Althanas entirely, and put our fortress there.

While its not much, Lorenor does have an Undead City in Raiaera. It's near where Valinatal once stood. Also, Lorenor has a legit apartment in Radasanth that I bought not too long ago that we could also use as a temporary base. While I understand it is not a castle, it is better than nothing. We have to quest for a more suitable base of operations soon enough...by the by Roy, my post in your quest (The Void) is coming. Don't think I forgot about you.

I withdraw from this project, thanks for consideration though. I have already clearly stated my reasoning for pulling out so I don't feel that I need to restate the obvious.
In the future, if this PG looks like people are starting to take it a bit more serious I may jump back in, if I'm still welcome.

That is a great idea. From an IC standpoint, I believe Lore would be the best source for that. Him and his Necronomicon.

I actually had the idea of placing it in the shadow of the firmament. Not the Anti-firmament, but the cosmic shadow of The Firmament. This would enable mobility, appearing and disappearing anywhere (within reason) in The Firmament. Of course, the further it is to go, the longer it has to wait in the shadows, using considerations for the movement of a large army as the basis for determining the castle's movement.

Meanwhile, a smaller city would still have those priests and magic users, but not as many, and they could be collectivly dealt with first, keeping a throw away contingent outside the barrier to deal with any adventuring types who might all decide to cooperate on the barrier.
I'm liking this mobile fortress idea. And a wall of undead sounds totally beast (Except for those that can fly or jump over said undead).
Also sad to see the you to step out over something so trivial Lich (Most of us are serious about this project), but the world keeps spinning after all. Peace.

I feel the need to remind Lorenor that there IS a large, semi-well fortified building in the middle of our undead settlement, in the basement of which is the area Lore calls the Eye of Fate. That building can always act as the base of operations in the meantime.

Okay gang-
Even as I am writing this I have been reflecting on all my years on Althanas. The good, the bad, and the in between. I've managed to accomplish a lot here on Althanas for better or for worse, and given a great deal of my time to it. But suffice it to say, that I am going to retire Lorenor. This time for good. I am deeply saddened by the affairs of Althanas 3.0. Once again a set of bad rules, and poorly done structure will get implemented into Althanas and everybody hopes for the best. But that's neither here nor there. If anybody is interested on my opinions about Althanas 3.0, you all know where I can be reached.
So where does this leave us? I'm sorry to say this but I am gonna have to retire my character. I am currently planning a thread with MD which will be my final thread with Lorenor. But don't worry, I may lurk on the site as alt's. I just feel like my time with Lorenor has passed. If anybody I am currently working wishes to contact me, you guys know how to reach me too. Anyhow, I will see you guys on the flipside. Keep an eye for a final thread that I am going to put up soon which will feature the death of Lorenor. It's been a blast gang, I hope all of you guys continue to do dastardly deeds.

Well that's somewhat saddening, but we should still try to keep the PG alive. Though I'm not sure how the rules will follow on that one seeing as he is the one that put his name in the whole thing.

...Well, that's one way of going about it. I'm sure Pavel didn't mean to sound like an ass or anything when he posted that. The reasoning behind putting me in charge of the PG as a whole should be clear. MetalDrago has been Lorenor's right hand man since the Red Hand Pilgrimage thread, which was the beginning of all this.
Be assured that I will run this PG as well as I am able, and I will not accept failure. No matter how many times I have to pick up and move on, this PG will become one of the greatest in the history of Althanas. Also, Roy, when you get on Facebook, I sent you a friend request, and there are some things I'd like to talk to you about.

Well If Dragos gonna take over I'll stay. Also, since Lorenor is killing himself off perhaps we should start mobilizing the troops, do missions. I mean it seems like 4 out of five threads on here belong to the IK at this point. We need to get in gear. But also seeing as Lorenor is dieing, perhaps you could have him leave a verbal "will" of sorts to Drago, and have him pass some of his gear on.
On another note:
Things that I would like to get started:
Recruitment- the IK will destroy us if we don't bulk up our numbers. If we need to we can do threads and get NPCs to bulk our numbers.
Establishing a base- The IK have a freaking castle AND a system of tunnels! We're evil, we need a lair. I'm all for getting everyone together for an epic quest for a cool spooky castle on a cliff side.
A teleportation spell of sorts- We are now the Org XIII of Althanas. It doesn't have to be complicated, just a return to castle type deal.
Did I miss anything?

I think you should get a base surrounded by zombies as per my idea ages ago. I think you should get a roster up like Rayse suggested, then split into teams and achive the basics for starting your organisation.
One team capture/create a base, another does something evil and dastardly to get a name for yourselves. You guys have a core of five at the moment right? Thats enough for two quests.
I'd be happy to act as a hired hand for anything you guys want :)

I'd also like to do a funeral thread for Lorenor. Possibly have Drago do the the first few posts then we could each cameo in and pay our respects.
zombie guard dogs sound really awesome. I had an idea a long time ago where there was a school for villains hidden in a caged in forest full of zombies and other nasties. We could roll with that idea, but it would need a good thread.

I know I'm posting as my hero persona, but Calbrena's still in.
I still wanted to do that quest to get the rogue Alerarian scientist I invented to build/upgrade our lair to one appropriate for our organization.
Hopefully Jack Frost can successfully convince Shadowlord, an NPC of mine, to come over to Corone so I can give us one of the greatest Teleportation spells I can think of, the ability to enter the cosmic shadow of The Firmament! The entire lair would be able to move through such an ability, though certainly it's movement will be slower. I mean, moving an entire castle is not an easy feat.
*Shadowlord, despite his power, is not a permanent NPC. I'm planning on killing him off so I can ressurect him as a PC. A special PC I've been dying to play as since I first concieved of the plan two years ago.
I'm still in. Finding it hard to find the time to post at the moment though.

I'm touched, guys, really. Ok, the next time Aiko is online, I'll have to talk to him about a few things. Ok, a funeral for Lorenor is do-able, but I'd like to wait until Lore actually dies, so it doesn't seem like "too much too soon."
Now, to highlight Frost's ideas. I think we could all work it in as, say, a PG item that if we touch, activate, whatever, will instantly transport us back to the base, as a quest-only type item. As far as the base. Right now, we have a village in Raiaera with a (still being built) fortress like building in the center. That was the epicenter of the quests Pavel and I did as the "Paladins of N'Jal". We could start there and continue building until we have something a little more solid, or at least as a temporary Base of Operations until we have time to come up with something a little more... frighteningly epic, I guess.
Next item. While we're at it, we need a hierarchy of members, but I'll hold that off for a bit, until I've seen what everyone's thinking about the PG as a whole, for right now.
Keep the ideas coming. I will fully consider every idea you guys hand out. I'm not going to be the tyrant. If the Villains of Althanas are working together, the creators of said villains all need a say in how things are run.
