Name: Disciples of N'Jal

Leader: Lorenor V'halkulus The Grand Primus of the Undead/Herald of N'Jal

Location(s): Raiaera/Corone

Goals & Purposes: N'Jal is one of The Greater Thayne who was shunned by her extended family. Exiled from Althanas, a group of adventurers in Raiaera unleashed a meteor upon Althanas that loos'ed N'Jal upon it's time-stream forever. Heeding the call of N'Jal, Lorenor, MetalDrago Scorpio, and many others discovered The Eye of Fate. This fountain contained a replicating substance known as The N'Jal Protocol. Using a mixture of fell alchemy and dread science, The Undead freed themselves of Xem'Zund's domination. These events occurred before the fall of Xem'Zund.

As N'Jal's influence grew, her people prospered in the shadows. Soon, Lorenor rose to the seat of Grand Primus within The Undead society. As the ruler of The Undead, Lorenor now seeks to secure a banner for his people and a place they could live in utter freedom. Free from the persecution of religious zealots and wayward Demon Slayers. Lorenor has established a city of The Undead near where former Valinatal once stood. In this city many dark acts occur on a nightly basis. As The Herald of N'Jal, Lorenor preaches The Word of N'Jal to his followers. He is a mockery of The High Priests of all good religions.

The Followers of N'Jal perform ritualistic sacrifice, and other bizarre acts within the walls of their city. They are bound to The Code of N'Jal. N'Jal's word is law. Through complex ritualistic workings, The Followers of N'Jal commune with N'Jal utilizing The Dark Clergy as it's leadership body. There is no government in The Undead City. There is only N'Jal. Despite this, N'Jal has discovered, through her physical servants, a method of freeing wayward Undead from Necromancers like Xem'Zund. Known as The Kiss of N'Jal, this power breaks the control a Necromancer has over certain Undead. Once an Undead has been "freed" they exert their own Free Will. It is at this point that most Undead will choose to join the ranks of N'Jal's growing forces.

However, N'Jal is in allegiance with a pantheon of deities known as The Dark Pantheon. (Contributed by Roy) Kajeenith's siblings and extended family are allowed worship as they are related to N'Jal directly. Furthermore, The Eldricht Horrors long ago entered in a pack with N'Jal before she was banished by her sibling Thayne. Thus, N'Jal's returned signaled a return of The Dark Pantheon to Althanas. The Eldricht Horrors also had a say in the workings of N'Jal. And thus, the army of N'Jal would prosper.

It is a known goal of The Disciples of N'Jal that they are preparing for an inevitable war against The Ixian Knights. The Knights represent justice and heroism on Althanas whereas The Followers of N'Jal represent an entirely darker cause. New recruits do not necessarily have to follow N'Jal directly, but they are expected to obey the rules of The Disciples. Those who obey will be rewarded by the secrets of The Living Darkness. The Disciples of N'Jal are in direct contrast to The Ixian Knights. Eventually conflict seems likely. Where will you stand? Light or Dark? Welcome to The Disciples of N'Jal.
