The sky was turning black. A dark skyline of clouds swarmed across the picturesque scene and darkened the shore. The gentle waves started to rise higher and higher as the few people enjoying the beach stared in wonder. A crack of thunder singled the start of the storm as seconds later rain shot across the water and inland. Large drops of rain buffeted the shore amid howling wind. People ran for covered as the unholy storm continued to rise in intensity. Far out from shore the lighting flashed the images of the large island that seemed to just appear from nowhere a few hundred metres from shore.
Recruitment and chat!
There is here (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?p=176039#post176039). Just note, Talen is currently in Radasanth, he'll arrive at the small town the next day (its night time if you missed it).
Basicly there is an island. By the second round of posts we get to the island. Then its pretty much a giant battle till the end of the thread. I the only rule for this thread is a three day post, if its your turn theres three days and if you don't post your killed in the most horrible way I can think of. If you have a reason then just let the thread know and we can wait.
For the number of people, well I'm not sure. If you want to join, RP being at a small fishing village a little way from the beach where we can head to the island. I'll RP a number of people there going as well, so you can just sit with the crowd if you like, till the acton at least.
EDIT: Its also set in Akashima... in case you were wondering, but not enough to actually click the link.

And I'll come along as well. You'll not have to worry about that three-day posting rule, and this makes a perfect beginning for my character to get there.
On another note, this reminds me of Oni Island from the game Okami. Funny thing, because I've been playing it and just beat that part. Again.
EDIT: I went ahead and posted. Hope it's satisfactory.

Double posting.
Has interest been lost in this? Because I'd really like to continue with this quest, for personal character development reasons.

i would assume so, unless Angelekos and Jensen want to get smashed before the big meeting. That could be cool too

I'm going to get a post up now, but i'll be busy for the next four or so days, so if you all post I'll be able to when I get back :)
EDIT:
Posted!
Just wanted to note guys that I have a pretty specific plot twist I want to use (which ties into the demon thing, but is a bit different). Once we get there, there are weird looking trees with lots of bones around, and a few fresh ones that look like fishermen and even a few sharks. There could be some cool items (old weapons, armor and the like) on the bodies, but nothing like the treasure we are expecting.
The island is pretty desolate except for a large cave. Though I ask that you don't enter in your next post and I'll describe whats in it.
Also, not sure how Sei is going to get to Akashima....

To answerr that mystery, I suppose nows a good a time as any to give Sei 'Hello Goodbye'. :P
I might just request that ability as a spoil, rather than any actual gear.

Posts up! To shore has a bunch of carnivor fish eating anything in it (and destroying boats). Trees are actually coral. People who went inland are dead (feel free to find their torn remains in the next post. Also perhaps whale bones? up to you all really. I figure inland is the only option :p

I posted. Gwendal and Phiona are part of my miniature storyline I'm creating for Anglekos on this island, so no one kill them off please. Other than that, we have one more warrior seriously injured; I was thinking the one that was talking to Talen on the boat, but he could be really anyone. I'm thinking we should have some kind of army headcount OOC here, just so we know what our resources are for the time being.
I'm gonna guess that around 75 to a 100 warriors went to the island on the fishing boats; myself and the other player characters making up about seven of that number. Eric, Sei, Talen, Sei's two girls, and Phiona & Gwendal: We'll be known as the relative "untouchables" I'm guessing, unless someone wants to volunteer to get injured or dead with their character(s). So that leaves about 68/93 expendables. I'm guessing maybe fifteen went ahead and got killed, and another five or so got killed coming here (Talen's boat), so that's twenty down; so we're either down to 48 or 73, whichever sounds like a better number.

48 warriors sounds about right for just an expedition of mercenaries and curious soldiers. Sorry to be out guys for so long, just getting shit hammered by this sickness. But, I'm moving in with something cause i don't want to be left behind.
EDIT: Got my post up, Sei I'm offering to be your body guard again, for the duration of the mission. His fee his five gold coins an hour, all which go to Azza's piggy bank. (She's got college to think of!)

I picked a random number in my post of about 50, so we can go with 48 :)
I imagine that the fish attacking boats are giant Frilled Sharks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frilled_shark), looking kinda like a cross between an eel and a shark.
I figured that of the people with us we'd lose 50-70% in the next post round. ;)

Here we have a picture of a Decorator Crab (http://www.deepseaimages.com/dsilibrary/data/749/EPD_0280.jpg) and a Japanese Spider Crab (http://www.malibudivers.com/images/800px-Macrocheira_kaempferi.jpg) if you're interested.
I figured we could have the next post fighting to get through, and then the one after arrive at the cave. Not to fussy though.
Anglekos, let us know if you still want to do this, otherwise EI, you're up :)

Sorry, Hys.
With my latest lack of interest in RPing Anglekos, I'm gonna drop out of this one. You can have whatever my share of the EXP would have been, with permission. Just, if it comes up at a later date, RP a black-cloaked figure disappearing into the dark of the forest, and that will be the last anyone sees of Eric.

Yo boys and npc girls. We are in the belly of the beast! The 'water' is mildly acidic stomach acid. It itches the skin, but not much more. I figure a giant creature would have slow digestion rate. Where we go from here I am not sure. Either back up the way we came (maybe out the mouth?) or not the way we came. That might be a bit gross though.
As for the fall, I figure Sei would sprout wings and carry his two girls? I read another thread where sei said he could only carry one person at a time, so he could float down slowly? Otherwise maybe land in the mouth? Its quite a way away from the stomach though.
Ideas?

My bad, been on a gaming binge, I'll make it my first priority today.
Also, Sei could only carry Anita and Kyla one at a time. Emma and Ella weigh less than both of those two put together.
