Name: Aegis X
Known As: X
Age: 22
Age Look: 13-15
Alignment: Justified Evil
Religion: Unknown
Location: On the coasts of Scara Brea
Race: Modified Human
Gender: Male
Weight: 170
Height: 6’1”

Appearance: Dark purple hair. Black coat overtop of a white shirt that comes down to the waist. Green eyes, with hair that comes down in front of them slightly. Two straight edge swords are held right next to each other on his belt, which hangs around his waist above his pants. He wears boots that come to the ankle with his pants tucked into them. The part that separates him from other humans is the skeletal wings sprouting from his back. They are more for intimidation than actual flying, but they do enable him to jump larger distances than most humans.

Personality: He is insanely evil. He believes that the right thing is the wrong thing, and the wrong thing is right thing. He believes that stealing and murdering helps keep the world in constant cycle, and continues the balance of life. He does believe that the DG threatens the natural order of life and must be eradicated. He loves pirates ever since he was a little kid do to stories he heard from wandering from place to place. His intelligence does make him an even more threat. The ideal of the ‘right’ way in his mind, plus his ability to formulate solutions to any problem, can be a serious detriment to a controlled society. He does have a sense of power and where it lies, and the freeform lifestyle of pirates appears to him more than anything.

History:

Aegis was born and raised in an institution without his parents. He was left for dead in the middle of the forest only to be found with a bag and a few materials, by the owner of the institution. The man picked him and noticed the bony wings on his back and the sack that lay next to the abomination. The bag held two swords, very poor in condition, and a tag that said Aegis and nothing more.

The man sighed and looked at the baby wondering how long he had been there. He was surprised that the baby was even alive, much less found. The boy truly had luck, but what to do with him? The institution was for fighters only and this baby was clearly not a fighter. This was not his day at all.

He took the baby back to the institution and laid him on his bed. He sat there in his chair as he sat down and stared at Aegis. He couldn’t think of what to call, so he went through the things the baby was found with, and found the paper with Aegis written on it several times. “Well Aegis seems like a befitting name as any. What do you say Aegis?”

Baby Aegis simply looked at him with his big green eyes and started to gurgle and slap his hands together. “Well I can see that this is going to be difficult. Never raised a kid before, first time before everything, eh Aegis?”
The man raised the kid as if were his own, for years in the institution, training the kid, and teaching him the basics of tactics, and especially double sword wielding. Along with that, the man paid especially trained scholars to come and teach him everything that they knew about the world and how it worked. Though something was incredibly wrong with the kid.

Aegis would constantly get in trouble, and would not act like anything was wrong. He would steal, he would lie, and he would purposefully hurt people not even thinking of right or wrong. Though the man did not punish him, he didn’t know how. He didn’t want to punish the kid to harshly, and he didn’t want to be to easy on him, so instead he just let the kid off, which was probably the worst mistake he made in raising the kid.

The second mistake was probably telling the kid of the pirate stories he knew. These stories taught him nothing but wanting to steal, and wanting to kill for the fun of it, but he didn’t know any better. It was his first time raising a kid, how could he have possibly known what the kid was going to do next.

The skies stormed this day, like told in storybooks and legends. Unequivocal lightning shot through the sky, and thunder louder than thousands of horses running through the wild. Aegis stood over the body of his adopted father. He had killed him in his sickness in his bed with the two swords he was trained to use, and all Aegis did was laugh. “You didn’t understand what the world needed, you didn’t understand what is truly right, and what is truly wrong, but I made you understand. You’ll be fine father, you are in a better place contributing to what life needs to survive.”

He was fifteen, in the middle of Scara Brea with nothing but his swords, and his mind. He had no magical talent, at least that he knew of right away. He could however, defend himself if he needed, and with all the battle knowledge he had, he was sure to be able to apply to any situation, then again… he didn’t finish the course, nor did he finish his training.

Aegis for three years constantly dove into and out of jail cells do to minor burglary. At such an impressionable age, the jail life only furthered his mental inability to discern the right from wrong. With all those evil men, he only learned about the wrong way to do things, but he did learn the right way to do the wrong things.

Each time he came out of jail, he was even more ready to embrace the evil inside his heart, each time he was more ready to run, and more ready to avoid the guardsmen. Eventually instead of getting caught every time, he only got caught every three or four months, by some misfortune, or if he stopped to rest.

He soon reached the age of 21, but he didn’t take advantage of his fortunes and begin to drink, instead he just kind of wandered in and out of the bars sleeping, and eating. A sad life but it was the only thing he could really call his own, so he believed. His wings made him a product to be prodded. People everywhere he went called him a freak, until he lost it.

One day in one bar, a mutated human such as himself had the gall to mock Aegis and his wings. Aegis turned to look and soon realized the mutation of cat ears on the person’s head and knocked the man out with a single punch underneath the chin. Other people stood up surrounding Aegis, looking down on him as if he were some kind of caged animal, and began to punch wildly down towards him so violently it nearly killed Aegis himself.

He awoke one day to find himself in unbearable pain. He saw a woman tending to him, amazing beautiful. So beautiful that it upset the balance of the world, and he killed her quick to be merciful. He took his sword straight through her neck, her face so misplaced, happy and quit just before the wicked event.

Her body fell limp on the ground, as he stepped through her blood out of the bar without a single bit of regret. No one was alert of what happened, not for another day, and by then Aegis had disappeared along the cost simply searching… searching for balance.

Items:

Clothes: Nothing impressive, just what he has on his back,

Armor:

Leather Jacket: Provides little to know protection unless small blades are involved. Serves no real purpose except for looks.

Weapons:

Twin Short Swords: These swords are pretty banged up from being around for nearly 22 years, the sword is kind of dull, but sharp enough at the point to kill if stabbed. Made of Steel.

Skills/Abilities:

Twin Swordsmanship Adept: Can do many twin sword maneuvers without fear of injuring oneself.

Spells:

Dance of the Butterfly: Specialized sword attack that deals heavily in speed to the point of being faster than the eye can see. The desired end result is the opponent being impaled on both of the swords, but if there is more than one opponent, the desired effect is to simply slice and dice as you maneuver through the opponents. Due to the incredible speed, Aegis is greatly fatigued. The speed however varies depending on how fatigued Aegis is at the beggining of the attack. At the average he moves twice as fast.

Just clarify a little about how your spell works. I don't quite get how you appear faster than the eye. Is it just an illusion? Or do you actually move faster? If you actually move faster please clarify as to how much faster you move... thanks.

I changed it to where it is all speed. So it is basically a finishing move when the opponent has no chance of escape kind of thing. I also clarified that it drains his body immensely.

I need numbers though, sorry to make this a hasle. Say, your speed increases to be twice as fast as normal... that'll do. Then you're approved and on your way! Lol
