What's been changed?

Lots. We've updated the FAQ, added new market hacks, added a new EXP hack, updated the ROG FAQ, updated the Bazaar FAQ, updated Power Groups, added a new section to the site called "Concepts" which is immediately available to play in, updated the Rubric, and updated the forum to vB4!

What happened to my EXP and GP? They both say 0!

Nothing, your EXP and GP are saved as profile fields and have not been lost. Rather than sort through hundreds of users to port the system, we've decided to add EXP and GP to the new system when your first thread in Althanas 3.0 is judged.

Is the automatic bazaar operational?

Not yet. We're working on porting all the items there. In the meantime, if you want to purchase items you'll have to post your transactions in the bazaar. The FAQ has been updated for the new system, though.

Do I have to re-register my character under the new ROG guidelines?

No, but it might be beneficial to you if your skills were previously limited to do so. Certain characters will be asked to re-register to adjust their abilities, but the majority of players should notice no change in policy or use of the ROG.

Can I start participating in these concepts?

You sure can. Petoux and I are ready to throw whatever you've got at us. Petoux will have to add a few starter bosses to the list (or you can submit some) before boss battles will get kicked off though. The Bounty System should be started within the week.

Where did my thread go?

No threads were deleted with the switch to vB4; however we did archive a few threads in subforums that we eliminated. Odds are if your thread is missing its in the archive. Please PM me if you'd like it removed.

Are Power Groups ready?

Heck yes. Go wreak some havok with the new rules.

Holy... It doesn't feel like I've been gone that long! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE?! XD

Man, you guys really went all out. I knew there had been talks about some serious overhauls but I figured that's all it was.

Wow. This'll take some getting used to.

Good to have you back man. Check out the training forum, especially the Dansdel. I might need a rematch...

edit: actually I'd really like to fight whichever of your characters you'd consider the most notorious in corone with Jake Narmolanya, as soon as his lvl2 is approved.

can we be in more than one thread at a time?

i am currently looking for someone's brain to pick about corone and specifically the civil war and the factions involved, the state of the island, where each faction has power, where they dont, a general overview would be nice. maybs this is the wrong place for that question?

Additional Corone War information is in the works. Soon, many of your questions will be answered.

As for whether you can be in more than one thread at a time, yes you can. We mainly use Liquid Time as a general rule, so you character can be in many threads at once. For example, you may be having a battle in the Dansdel when an interesting quest pops up. You can join that quest and then treat it as either before or after your Dansdel battle--maybe even the same day if you wanted, just at different times. I hope that clarifies some.

another question: if i'm posting a thread involving being in transit between two areas, where should it go, the departure location's subforum or the arrival location's subforum? or does it not matter?

It doesn't really matter, but whatever area you're going to post in the most, I would personally put it there, so you have a better score in continuity for keeping up with the proper setting.

You don't want to post in Concordia going to Salvar, and have points counted off for the majority of your thread being in a snowy wasteland, after all.

Also, to be clear, you don't need to post your journey between two areas as a thread all on its own, just work it into the story at the start of your thread.

so post it somewhere where the majority of action takes place?

I'm not too concerned about this - not cross continent travel or anything - travelling across corone, from Gisela to Underwood.

action will take place in Gisela (sorta), on the path to Underwood, and in the forest. but through the thread, the character moves from Gisela to Underwood. Where would this best be posted?

the whole thread is about the journey and stuff that happens on it - so its not something i want to just mention offhandedly in a post. I most certainly will mention it in the thread which takes place timelinewise right after this one.

You would probably just place it the general Corone forum: http://www.althanas.com/world/forumdisplay.php?20-Corone

Please confirm my request.
Also the current year is actually 2012 not 2011.

Welcome to Althanas Polk.

The date error is unfortunately a vbulletin error, which has been with us since, well, I joined in 2009!

I think they're bots. I force all new registers to view this thread.

Question guys. In terms of levels, what is the actual level that we have, 1 or the current level that we're stated at? Like if my character says level 2, do I do a level 2 update? Just curious about the new changes. Thanks for answering in advance :) .
