Appearance: Young, and what some, if not many would call beautiful (though she doesn't think she is), Jas is most often seen wearing a snug, dark blue, sleeveless dress with silver trim. Around her waist she wears a silver sword belt and on her feet black leather knee high boots good for walking long distances in. Around her neck she wears 2 silver lockets on a silver chain. Inside one is a picture of her parents on one side and her "brother" and his best friend on the other. The second one holds a picture of Zerith and her daughter, Siela. Jasmine wears her hair in a long braid that comes down to mid thigh. On the third finger of her left hand, Jasmine wears a beautiful diamond wedding ring. (a picture of it can be seen in this character’s picture album entitled “wedding stuffs”)

Personality: Jasmine is good natured, but has a very quick temper. Her only real vanities are her hair, which she makes sure to take very good care of, and her complexion, which she also takes very good care of. She is generally trusting, but once that trust is lost, it is very difficult to earn it back. Being a mother now, she is very protective of Siela and will do anything within her power to make sure her daughter is safe, regardless of what that may entail or how dangerous it may be.

Occupation: wife/mother, adventurer (in that order of importance to her)

Weapons/Armor

1 4’ steel straight sword of extremely high quality. Hilt is two-handed, wrapped in black leather with silver embroidery worked in. (the silver is simply to denote that this is noble’s weapon).
2 4” titanium throwing knives. These are sheathed one in each boot.

Skills/Abilities
I have decided to dispense with adjectives to describe Jas’s proficiency. Instead I will be using a scale 0 – 10, wherein 0 is a total and complete incompetent and 10 is an absolute nigh unto undefeatable master.

Swordplay – 7
At this level Jasmine is very, very good at what she does. She moves quickly and with confidence. She does not make any unnecessary movements and her movements are clean and sharp. She should not be taken lightly neither should she be underestimated.
Knife throwing – 5. Jasmine is an average shot with her knives. At about 50 paces with a still target, she will hit her mark almost every time. Much further than that and her accuracy starts to fail. Have the target be moving and her accuracy goes down considerably to 10 paces.

Magic
I am also revamping how I rate her magic. As with the physical skills above, these are rated on a scale of 0 – 10, again with 0 being a hopeless incompetent and 10 being an absolute master.

Offensive Magic
Fire: overall level: 6
Able to control fire – at the moment she is only able to create fireballs. She can make them any color she wants, though she generally makes the same fireball attack the same color every time. For ease of understanding, her fireballs are listed by color.
Blue fire – this is a ball of fire about 8” in diameter, blue in color. This is a single ball that Jas throws at her target. It moves fairly quickly, but not so much as to be unavoidable. This is a magic fire and it will burn whatever it touches for up to 5 seconds. The flammability of the target will determine the amount of damage taken. For example, if it is blocked with a sword, for 5 seconds her enemy will have a flaming sword to swing around and the sword will likely be unharmed. However, if it were to touch cloth, dry grass, or wood, the item would be likely to take much more damage and quite possibly continue to burn with natural flames.
Red fire – This ball starts out at 8” in diameter, however upon being thrown it splits into 3 smaller balls, each about 4” in diameter. These balls travel very fast and have a homing behavior. Though each ball will come at the enemy from a different direction, each will follow the target for the most part. A simple ducking under maneuver will only result in the fireball turning around and coming at the back of the enemy’s head. Each of these balls burns for roughly 2 seconds with the same damage measurements as her blue fireball (being that amount of damage is determined by the target’s flammability).
Purple fire: This is a mixture of Red fire and Blue fire. The ball that forms in her hand is purple and about 8” in diameter. When she throws it, it splits into 3 balls, each about 6” in diameter. Each ball has a kind of “tracer” that makes it head straight for the target in the same fashion as red fire. Each ball burns for about 5 seconds. As with the others, Purple fire damage is dependent on the target’s flammability.
Yellow fire - Yellow fire is non-combatant and is used only for providing light and concentration practice. Right now, Jas can make it glow to produce a circle of light about 5 feet in diameter or as small as a single candle, but has the potential to make it be as large as 10 feet or as small as the head of a pin.

This is her strongest element and is the only one she can create and use from nothing.
Air – overall level 0
Able to control wind/air. At the moment of writing this, she is unaware that she can do this. For her it will likely come through in a major outburst, but after that she will have to work at it and practice to be able to do anything.
Water – overall level 0
Able to control water. At the moment of writing this, she is unaware that she can do this. For her it will likely come through in a major outburst, but after that she will have to work at it and practice to be able to do anything. Water will have to be available in its liquid form for her to be able to do anything until she reaches the upper levels of her ability (like 8-10).
Earth – overall level 0
Able to control the earth - At the moment of writing this, she is unaware that she can do this. For her it will likely come through in a major outburst, but after that she will have to work at it and practice to be able to do anything.

Please note that each of these elements will come as a ‘breakthrough’ separately, in the order they are listed. Also the next one will not come through until she is at least a 4 or 5 with the preceding element. For example, now that Fire is at 6, she will have an Air breakthrough very soon. However, Water will not breakthrough until she has developed Air to at least a 4 or 5. Make sense? I hope so, let me know if it does not.


Defensive Magic
A Father’s Love: in times of very great or mortal danger, her sword will become as strong as mythril for the length of two of Jasmine’s posts, due to the spirit of her father putting itself into the blade in an effort to keep her weapon and her body, whole. At that time it will return to the normal steel. This is useable once per thread. However, as it is the spirit of her father that is intervening on her behalf, she is unable to call upon this. Her life or that of someone she loves very much must be in extreme danger for her father to be able to help.


A Mother’s Love: in times of mortal danger in which her sword is of no use, or A Father’s Love has already been used, the spirit of Jasmine’s mother will form a small “bubble” around Jasmine. (About 5’6” wide and 5’6”tall.) It will hold for two of Jasmine’s posts and is tinted a pinkish-rose color. Jasmine can be easily seen through it. It will deflect blows from blunt objects and glancing blows. If one were to stab it with a sharp item such as a sword or dagger, the point of the weapon will go through the bubble, though it won’t pop it. The barrier can now slow down the stab of an enemy, though it cannot stop it all together. The barrier will prevent any other person from entering it, so the weapon’s progression will stop when it the opponent’s hand comes in contact with it. It is impervious to all magic attacks.

((I am aware of the opportunities this may have for powergaming, but I promise, I will use it carefully.))

Other Magic
Mage-Warder bond: The bond that was originally created between Jasmine and Zerith in the PG "The Chosen" (pre-crash) has been strengthened by Quilyassa. They can now sense each other's presence up to 5 miles. Within that 5 miles, they can tell about where each other is, general health, and general emotional health. If one is injured, the other will feel 1/4 of the pain felt by the other in the same place. Also, if one or the other is under great emotional or physical stress (ie: torture) the bond may become unclear for the one being stressed, but it will still be clear to the other. As a wedding gift, Draconus has blessed Jasmine and Zerith by giving their bond another feature. They may now telepathically communicate with each other as long as they are within 3 miles of each other. This is limited to only them. In other words, they cannot initiate a telepathic conversation with anyone else (exceptions would be people like Sei who is already a strong telepath and can talk to anyone he want via telepathy so long as the stronger telepath initiates conversation).

Race History: (condensed because I realized I have a crapload of info here. If anyone reading this wants more info, they should PM or IM me and I’ll be happy to answer any questions.)
The Mori race evolved from several generation of intermixing between elves and humans. They found the island they live on quite by accident whilst fleeing the prejudices of the purists among their respective races. They have lived there ever since. Two cities have been built, the port of Hamasha and the capital, Nadai. It is ruled via a monarchy that is advised by a council of 8 nobles, each of whom is responsible for a section of one city or the other (similar to how each city in the US has District Representatives).
In appearance the Mori are about average human size. Some look more elven or human than others depending upon the percentage of elven or human blood running in their veins. The average life span is 250-300 years. Hair color pretty much ranges the rainbow of what is considered ‘normal’ for humans and elves. The same applies for eye color.

Character History: [color=blue](you may note that there is considerably less here than there was before, this is because I’ve also seriously condensed this section as well.)
Jas was born to Lady Maria and Lord Alberto Matrino, in the tiny island kingdom of Moriah. A mere two or three weeks after her birth, her parents along with every findable servant in her parents country estate, were ruthlessly tortured and killed. A small servant boy named Eric, who had just come to them that past winter, was given charge of tiny Jasmine and told to "hide real good so the bad men won't find you" (he was 8 years old at the time). Obediently he found a hiding place and was not discovered.

When the coast was clear, Eric took Jasmine to her uncle, King Odan Kamasha. The two children were raised in the royal palace with Eric being named as Jasmine’s older brother. When she was of the proper age, Jasmine was named heir to the throne and began receiving suitors. Unable to choose one, her uncle gave in to the pressure from one of his Council members and chose a husband for her. On the day that this was to be announced, Jasmine’s betrothed, Lord Montego, showed his true intentions; leading a coup he took control of the kingdom and killed Odan in the process.

Fearing for her own life, Jasmine ran away taking only her father’s sword with her. She ran to the jungle where she was eventually found by one of the friendlier tribes of natives. She was taken in and taught how to use the sword she carried and how to control the magic that ran in her veins. She stayed with the tribe for two years, then decided that she should leave for fear that Montego might enter the jungle searching for her. She left her home and managed to sneak out of the country with the help of a ship’s captain that was still loyal to the Royal Family (he was absolutely ecstatic that Jas was not dead afterall as Montego had claimed).

Jasmine’s travels have taken her to many places in Althanas. One of those adventures was to return home to dispose of Montego. She recruited some help and through a variety of obstacles, finally managed to succeed. When her brother was found, she stepped down from her throne and put him in her place, claiming that she did not feel worthy to rule a nation that she had initially run away from instead of standing up to the oppressor. In her heart of hearts, she just really did not want to stop adventuring yet (darn adventure bugs…such nasty bites they have ;-))

She returned to her travels having a wide variety of adventures. She was called by the Thayne Goddess of Magic to aid in a major undertaking along with many other mages. Here her travels fell in line with Zerith Dracosius, who was to be her Warder. Shortly after this meeting, Mage and Warder went to Jasmine’s homeland so that Jas could attend the Midwinter Ball. It was here that she met and fell for Prince Raelyse Salidan. Though the prince did not get all he wanted that night, he did succeed in capturing Jasmine’s heart. She was very upset when she woke the next morning to find that he had disappeared from Moriah entirely.

When Moriah fell under attack, her warder, Zerith, was at the forefront helping her and her countrymen to defeat the attacker and afterward to rebuild and make better defenses. All the while, Jas was completely unaware of how her warder felt about her. Once Moriah was safe, Jas set off on her own for a while. She was captured by slavers and taken to the base of the Grander’s Order. There she found Raelyse and very happily went to his arms. Being the smooth talker he was, he soon had the princess convinced that he loved her and only her etc etc etc. Here she also found Zerith again who knew exactly what the Grander Salidan was up to with his Mage and did not like it at all.

Over the course of 2 missions together, Zerith wooed Jasmine, convincing her of Raelyse’s lies and to leave the GO with him. Heartbroken and extremely angry over Rae’s lies, Jas agreed. She left the GO with Zerith at her side and the two have been inseparable ever since.

[color=blue]Zerith and Jasmine’s romance blossomed beautifully and during a trip to visit his family, Zerith proposed to Jasmine. She joyfully accepted. Following the announcement to his family, Jas and Z, along with his parents and best friend, Zevernus, went to her homeland to announce the plans to her family and have the wedding.

A week before the wedding, Jas’s nephew was kidnapped. The little prince would be safely returned in exchange for a map to wherever Montego’s traitorous bones had been buried. In the end, the prince was safely collected, but the lord that had kidnapped him still got what he wanted. Exactly why he wanted Montego’s bones has yet to be seen. For now, the family is just happy to have Dylan back safe and sound.

At the same time, Jas had discovered she was about 2 months pregnant. The couple decided to wait until after the wedding to tell her family (which given that her brother has a hot of temper as Jas, was probably a very wise decision).

Throughout the following months, life for the Dracosius’ went quite well. That is, until Montego was raised from the dead. He waged a new battle for the Sapphire Throne of Moriah, but was ultimately defeated. This time, they made sure there was nothing left of the traitor to be raised. As the battle with Montego came to a close, Jasmine went into labor and soon a daughter was born to her and Zerith. They named the child Siela Marie and settled in to become a family. Three months later, the two were informed that Z was a prophesied general necessary for saving Radasanth from destruction. (in progress: ”Extended Family” ( http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?21767-Extended-Family)). Thus the family moved to the Ixian Knights’ castle. While there, enemies of the Ixian Knights’ kidnapped Siela. Though it took some doing, the child was rescued. Later the castle was outright attacked and had to be evacuated. In the confusion of battle and evacuation, Jas and Z have become separated. Siela is with her mother along with the rest of the Mystic race just outside of Sei’s Tomb. Weight: healthy for her age (I’m not gonna put an exact weight because babies’ weight changes so quickly as they grow)
Height: average for her age (again babies grow way faster than we realize so I’m not gonna figure on an exact height until her growth slows down a bit)

Appearance/Personality: Siela is generally a very happy, easily pleased baby. She has dark hair and blue eyes like her parents. She’s not too chubby or too skinny and is quite healthy. She is generally trusting and will allow almost anyone to hold her. However, she seems to have an innate sense of who she can and cannot trust. She does not necessarily cry at the sight of untrustworthy people, but she becomes unusually quiet and clingy to those that she does trust in their presence.

Skills
Gramma loves you: this operates the same way that Jasmine’s “Mother’s Love” does as it stems from the same source: Jasmine’s mother, Maria. HOWEVER, Siela’s protective bubble is much stronger than Jasmine’s as Jasmine can defend herself. The protective bubble of Gramma’s love can deflect anything, blunt or pointed for up to two posts. As an added thing, this extends around whomever is holding her IF she trusts that person. Thus, if say Kyla, Stephanie, Anita (most of IK women, really) was holding her and was attacked, the Gramma’s bubble would surround them both, giving the holder time to get away or for someone to help them. After 2 posts, Gramma’s strength runs out and she can no longer hold the protection. While surrounded by the bubble anyone inside feels warm and safe as though wrapped in a loving mother’s arms. (Useable ONCE per thread)

**Note – this is not something that will get stronger with time. In fact, as Siela becomes able to defend herself (much later down the road of course) this will weaken until it matches Jasmine’s level of protection. Also please note that this is an automatic thing and as with Jasmine, Siela will not be able to call on the protective spell on her own, it happens solely from Gramma’s reaching out from beyond the grave.

History: Born in the spring to Jasmine and Zerith Dracosius. Shortly after her birth, her father was recruited to join Sei’s Ixian Knights. She of course was taken with him and her mother to Radasanth to live in Ixian Castle. The small family lives in a family section along with Jensen, Stephanie, Azza, Kyla and Akiv. She and Akiv are fast becoming good friends and seem to enjoy their shared playtime. She has no cares in the world right now so long as she’s clean, her tummy is full and she’s with people she knows and trusts.

Jasmine is approved.

However, the "Gramma Loves You" spell is far too powerful. I will allow a spell of that magnitude only if you agree to only use it in non-competitive RP. Also, if you decide to make Siela a PC as she gets older, you'll have to re-register her.

uh, Siela wouldn't be any battles anyway. she's not a battle character and won't be until she grows up at which point she'll no longer be an NPC
