Greetings.
It is I, Duffy, with a new character full to the brim with new ideas and hopefully, a new perspective on the possibilities of Althanas. I have grounded too many characters in the stale and stagnant, and in retiring several of them, I thought I'd give life to an idea I've been working on for a while involving planes walking, and the idea that Althanas is connected to worlds beyond it's sphere through the very fabric of it's creation, magic.
I would like to instigate Mordelain's settlement on this world semi-permanently, and to do that, I'd like someone relatively 'serious' as far as character goes (in character, not out) to accompany her and befriend her as she travels through the Khalithrism to take stock of the devastation caused by the Cataclysm. She has been hiding on Althanas for several decades, and has yet to face the horrors of war after giving herself time to let it dawn on her little mind.
Anyone think they'd be up for an adventure unlike any other, one which quite literally goes from world to world in post to post?

Duffy, if you would have me I think this character would be perfect for the role. Ahk'Ran is a god fearing man, and the opportunity to be shown other worlds, see other things, and learn that the universe around him makes him so small is a writing opportunity that shouldn't be passed up without at least throwing my name into the ring.
It is I, Enigmatic Immortal, who runs this character, so my posting ability shouldn't be an issue either.

Hey Ei,
You've piqued my interest, primarily because one of the worlds of the vortex is a desert land filled with tombs, catacombs and swirling sand mazes - something alien yet familiar.
How best to go about an introduction, though?
(I am not limited to one thread, any and all comers welcome!)

Well, one of the stories is Ahk'Ran being a refugee after his own home village is invaded, so maybe while traveling the sands and dunes of Fallien, they meet. Otherwise, Ahk'Ran can be doing a side mission in any part of the world, finds out the mission target is you, and you offer to take him to a place he's never been. (no sexual pun intended, but might as well call it out...)
Or....
nope, that's all i got at this exact moment

Althanas is the mirror world in the background, essentially, it's where the cultures of all the other worlds meet in one planet; Mordelain could be in Fallien admiring the sands and how familiar it is to the Nomad's Realm, and we cross paths and then it goes from there?

if you assumed any of that made sense to me, then yes. Yes that would be just fine I'd think. We can easily make that work.

I'll have a thread up in the next day or so, tonight if the moment takes me!

The moment did indeed take me. (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?22406-The-Heart-of-the-Nomad-(Closed)&p=180311#post180311)
Hudde is now taken, if you have a character (anyone) that would suit a trip to one of the other planes of the Khalithrism, do leave a message!

Okay, i'll get to this in a timely manner. Also, i do have an account that is three siblings who practice Black magic. You are welcome to enlist them, if you so seek it.

Hey Duff I'm wondering if you'd be interested in taking me on for a quickie or something. I should have somewhat frequent access and we could probably hammer out a thread in a couple of weeks...
An unfortunate choice of words, but what world did you have in mind? (Which means yes!)

That's kinda the thing, I don't quite know as it's very open for the two of us. We could do almost anything. If you need something to get done we can do that, or we can brainstorm something a little more indepth if you wish.
My intention is to find one person that is akin or similar to each of the worlds in the Khalithrism, and teach them the culture of that world so they can become the world's Gate Guardian. Chosen is perfect for Hudde, what world does Twincast see herself in ideally?

Petra fits the best, as it fits with what I envision Aislinn becoming. My idea is to eventually have he be what I call the"Good Shepherd" where she teaches adventurers the lessons they need to not only survive, but thrive in the life they have chosen. Petras talk of wisdom and hearing anything worth hearing is a perfect fit for that.
Failing that;
Breen is another one that helps fit the motif, and would probably give me a reason to examine Ghur the wind of Beasts more in depth.
Petra's what clicked with me first, so let's run with that.
Any ideas about how we'd cross paths?

Aislinn is constantly wandering about the area of Radasanth, Concordia, and Ixian Castle. While most times she's traveling with Felicity, there are periods where she travels alone. It would be no hard task to have a chance encounter with the woman, or even for her to be sought out during such a trek. She frequently hits up Radasanth to talk to her father figure, a man named Pierce Hawk, who also is the man who taught her how to be a healer. Failing anything else it could be a chance encounter at Pierce's apothecary store as I'm sure your character might have wounds he could be specialized to treat (being an alchemist meas he would be able to diagnose and treat the more magical or obscure maladies.)
It appears we have found the Gate Guardian for Petra.
That leaves 6 worlds remaining...Mordelain will act as Guardian of Althanas, so 5 worlds left!

Should have a post tonight.
Anyone interested in these old threads or shall I look to start projects anew?
