Sort of new, have some questions

So, I used to browse the old Althanas boards quite often, and I always found something entertaining there to read (around 2007-08 if I remember correctly), and I even had a character, though not one I'm particularly interested in recovering.

I'll want to get started again as soon as I can, but first, is there any difference in the geography/ races/ languages here now? From what I've read so far on this new board its pretty much the same, but new information is always welcome.

If you're concerned about the move to 3.0 changing the overall world of Althanas, that didn't happen. Corone is still a melting pot of races and all the other regions are mostly the same. I can't speak for certain events, but you may want to read up on the official Timeline if you haven't.
