This thread is for all TF submission contest Stock Submissions. For more information see the main thread (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?22676-Underwood-Training-Forum-3.0-Submission-Contest!!!).

Below is a list of "Stock" characters and locales which we would like to see fleshed out. You may create "original stock" submissions but to risk being redundant, there are half as many prizes for "stock" submissions.

The Peaceful Promenade:
The primary tavern in Underwood was once a sleepy little pub but is now a bustling resting place for travelers and one of the more prosperous and famous establishments in Underwood. All sorts can be found in the Peaceful Promenade, maybe looking for the help of an eager adventurer…and maybe looking for trouble.

Ravenheart Academy:
Named after the legendary Red Marshal of Coronè, Letho Ravenheart, Ravenheart Academy offers training for warriors in all sorts of melee and ranged combat. Beginning adventurers can improve their skills here for a cost of some gold, before venturing out into the dangerous world.

The Circle of Elerdhen:
With a name far more impressive than the reality, the Circle is a group of druids, hedge mages, prestidigitators and other magic-practitioners who meet regularly to discuss and improve their magical abilities. The Circle meets in an old stone building on the edge of town. A young mage or sorcerer might find some assistance in developing his skills among their numbers.

City Hall:
Monthly meetings run by the mayor are held at the large wooden building known as City Hall, where all the business of trade and other issues plaguing the citizens of Underwood are discussed. Elections for a new mayor are held every year, but the current mayor—Ben Aldebrand—has been elected the past thirty years in a row. A bulletin board can be found outside the hall that sometimes will have tasks posted on it for an adventurer looking for some work.

The Dansdel:
Dansdel is an old Elvish word meaning “proving” or “trying.” It’s a small cluster of buildings and arenas on the outskirts of town where any interested comers can go to fight without danger of physical harm—described further in its own forum.

Benjamin Aldebrand:
The mayor of Underwood is an elderly man who has seen the town grow from sleepy village to the bustling place it is now. He’s been the mayor for thirty years, thanks to his good common sense and love of the place, but he’s approaching old age, and who knows who his successor might be?

Terech Bodorson:
One of the few dwarves in the town, Terech is well known as the head of Ravenheart Academy. He’s a veteran of a number of wars, and getting on in years, but his expertise in all forms of combat is unquestionable. He settled down in Underwood for a peaceful life two decades ago and hasn’t left since. He’s a cranky old geezer, but any adventurer that gets on his good side could find unexpected depths of knowledge.

Ormeath Zhainguinth
One of the heads of the Circle of Elerdhen. Born under the name of Robert Smith, Ormeath changed his name when he first discovered his magical talents to make it more 'mystical.' He is indeed of moderate magical talent, but his ego is much larger than his skill, and he badly wants to be an elf. He changed his name and has been known to take clay and make false pointy ears on occasion. The elves of the area either consider him to be hilarious or irritating.

Following the death of Jaliss Evenkeel, Underwood needs a new Captain of the Watch. Will it be a former ranger? A turncoat from the Corone Armed Forces? You decide!

The Silver Pub
Named after the dranak Tshael's infamous tavern, this ale hall bears the names of all active Dansdel warriors on the walls. Here, combatants may lay down public challenges against any other warrior. Although there is never any guarantee a challenge will be answered, everyone who drinks at the Silver Pub will bear witness to the interaction.

The Baths are for active warriors only, so characters whose writers don’t keep up may be forcefully ejected time to time. Of course the bouncers may listen to reason if your battle shows a sudden surge of activity. The baths are staffed by a younger element of the elven community who are putting in due diligence through community service and body sciences. Everything from physical therapy to a good ol’ fashioned massage is available, and the healing arts of aromatherapy and song magic are practised constantly. This should seem like an absolute paradise, where elven beauties tend to a warrior’s every need. IC moderation will keep things appropriate. I wouldn’t be opposed to better suggestions, but mine is that we call this place the Shark Tank Baths in honour of Rafanas’ notorious but undocumented sexiness.

Les Misérables

Submission type: Stock NPC

Name: Terech Bodorson
Race: Aleraran Dwarf
Height/Weight: 5'5" / 210 lbs
Hair and beard: Fiery red
Eyes: Flint grey
Age: unknown (over a century)
Occupation: Head of Ravenheart Academy

Although little is known about Bodorson's younger years in the Northlands, rumours among his students suggest the dwarf has fought in literally dozens of wars in his lifetime. He is heralded as one of the great Weaponmasters of Corone, his skill with axe and sword, alongside his brutish strength and determination, is considered unparalleled by many. Terech spends the majority of his days teaching young warriors to fight with weapons of their choice, or without any weapons at all.

Formerly a master blacksmith, Bodorson rarely works the forge these days except to do a favour for a close friend. He is incredibly gruff and dominates space better than most men twice his height. However this exterior is simply meant to send faint-hearted types running, as Bodorson cannot abide by pansies. In private company he is as jovial and friendly as anyone, particularly on the eve of a battle.

Bodorson has resided and instructed in Underwood for over twenty years, and it is a distant dream for many young Coronians to be trained (and berated) by the famous Dwarf. Most notable among his possessions is a titanium bastard sword with black diamond edges, and a scarred iron battle helm. Although he has been thinking on full retirement for some time, Bodorson has vowed not to hang up his armour until Freedom is restored to Corone.
