Name-Cage Sersio
Age-17
Race-Feral
Gender-Male
Height-6 feet 3 inches
Weight-183 pounds
Hair Color-Brown
Eye Color-Gold
Appearance
-Cage doesn’t just have the look of the wild, he is the look of the wild. His eyes are a hawks piercing gold with the keen look of a predator and his shaggy hair is the shades of a bear giving him a grizzly look. Docile actions contrast the gaunt hungry face, his fierceness less of a mask than believed. His skin is tanned and hardened from life in the sun with a well-muscled build tribute to his heritage and occupation. Styled after his teacher, loose pale blue robes cover his shoulders and stretch to knee length covering the dark red sash as well as down to the knees of his black martial hakama pants, varying only in footwear, of which Cage wears leather wrappings. Slung inside his sash is a non-descript brown sheath as well as a sling supporting his training sword.
Weapons
-Training Sword: From the lack of a blade it is actually round and closer to a rod, less than an inch in diameter with a core of a lead and stretching to a length of four feet, six inches of which is handle. The casing around the lead is made of treated oak as well as the hilt with a solid lead pommel shaped as a simple sphere.
-Acradia: Sword that is kept in the sheath Cage carries with him, very little is known about it. The hilt appears to be made of ivory and has writing carved into it, the writing is in a long since extinct language but is intuitively known to say Acradia, the pommel bears the shape of head with four faces, each expressing a different emotion. The shape and quality and make of the blade is unknown, Cage has never drawn it nor attempted to, to all others the blade is sealed in the sheath. The sheath itself is believed to be copper with red enamel covering it. (equal to steel)
Skills
-Light Render: A style of sword use that places great emphases on precise and effective movement. Using this style a skilled fighter could defeat overwhelming numbers with minimal effort and little equipment. There is great difficulty in developing, Light Render is a name given to a class of fighter rather than a style of fighting because it is more of a state of mind than an actual style, no two will have the same or even similar techniques. It is only possible to train to the level of instructor after which development is dependent on the individual without a final point of mastery. The so-called “masters” of Light Render often could kill hundreds of well-trained fighters without even using a sword, instead relying on their technique as well as their bodies which often passed beyond physical limitation.
-|- Novice: Cage has just recently been training and is making note-worthy rapid advancement and is currently at the skill level of a novice. He would be easily defeated by better skilled Light Renders but still has a significant advantage over less sword styles, allowing him to beat an average soldier with average weapon training, albeit not unharmed.
Traits
-Cage has above average senses and is more in tune with nature than average beings. Although it is dormant now, there is more that he can do but his body hasn’t grown to a height to realize its potential. Because of his occupation, Cage has been forced to learn a multitude of languages and has learned basic mathematics.
Racial
Feral beings are special individuals of any race that have somehow acquired beastly attributes. While it is extremely rare, some ferals are born from common parents, but most of the feral population is descended from ferals in which the feral genes are passed down. Each new generation becomes stronger and wilder as the genes become stronger. The traits themselves vary person to person, some simply having keener senses while others have gills or tails, depending on generation and chance. A very common trait is increased strength from traits taking after large animals, lending to the beliefs of outsiders that all ferals are super strong. This belief often results in them being hunted to be sold as slaves for their unique abilities.
History
-Cage is from one of the oldest and most powerful lines of ferals, him being the first eleventh generation feral, the current number of which could be counted on one hand. As each generation grows wilder, Cage’s great grandparents were little more than beasts with a small vocabulary, but his grandparents were more civilized. As they first grew wilder, farther down the line they became tamer. His parents were intelligent and nearly human, with the exception of fur, tails, and animal ears, with him being the first that could pass for human. While his family had become tamer, they lost none of their progressing strength, and he was to be the strongest yet.
Unfortunately before he had seen nine summers his home was raided by humans and he was made a slave. To find a young feral for a slave was extremely rare, attracting the attention of several nobles. Lord Langston, a merchant lord who dealt extensively across Althanas but was based out of Salvar, bought him as servant for his household. Eight years later, the lord’s son decided he wanted to travel across Althanas to “see the sights,” which meant Cage was going to be dragged across the country. The lord spoiled his kid, of course, and wouldn’t refuse to let the kid though, but he wasn’t a fool either. The next day the lord hired a Light Render of fair renown to guard his son and teach Cage to defend his son as well. This man was Kinir Sersio, he was strong and bold, a man that Cage could look up to. Seeing as Cage had no last name, and people always asked him what it was when he met them, Cage adopted the same last name as his teacher as well as other aspects.
A guardian, a servant, and a rich brat set out to cover every inch of Althanas, at least, the most interesting inches.
