"And you're sure that this information is legitimate?" Sei Orlouge asked his daughter, Anita, referring to the mission they were on. The duo stood on the roof of a building overlooking a brick warehouse in the middle of the night. Anita nodded and rustled through her blue backpack, an extraordinary thing that seemed to hold anything the girl needed. After a few minutes of rummaging through the thing, Anita withdrew a notebook.
"According to Talen's notes, Papa," Anita was talking about the head of the Ixian Knights Information Team, "It's right on the GP." Talen's job was to collect information on things throughout Althanas through any means necessary. During the interrogation of one particular prisoner, the Information Team Leader managed to procure intel on this factory. "This is where they're mass producing the Mind Dust."
Mind Dust. Sei had only encountered the drug a handful of times. From what the telepath had distinguished, Mind Dust was an addictive substance often inserted by snorting the chemicals. The temporary effect was that the user because physically superior while having a sense of empathy to their surroundings. From what Sei could also interpret from the few junkies he had in his cellar, withdrawal symptoms included headaches and vomiting.
Up until now, Mind Dust had been a rare substance, hard to attain even in a boiling cauldron of cultures like Radasanth. Yet, Talen's information stated that the same factory that the father-daughter duo was overlooking at the moment had found a way to make the drug in bulk. The ingredients to the drug still remained a mystery to most people, so Sei thought that if he could find out everything used in this massive drug production scheme, he would be able to help the Guard identify when someone was trying to make their own.
The drug would get off the streets of Radasanth completely, and another notch would be made in Sei's already impressive record. It seemed like a simple enough job. The mute looked to his daughter with a smile and a wink, patting her on the head as if to say 'wish me luck'. The mute then closed his eyes, sprouting two beautiful orange and blue butterfly wings (not that anybody could tell in the cold night air). Leaping off of the rooftop, Sei headed towards the highest window in the facility, raising his arms as he came crashing through.
How hard could this be, really?
