Name: Rikah Nocturn

Race: Seraph
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Height: 5”3
Weight: 96 lbs
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Red

Appearance: Rikah Nocturn has long, straight blonde hair which is often well-kept. Her eyes are a bright red; on both of her ears are dangling earrings which have the design of silver wings. Her face is pleasant and she’s often smiling. Rikah wears a light crimson sleeveless blouse, and on her left shoulder is a silver bangle with a wing design that matches her earrings.

Around her waist is a belt that matches her shirt that it almost can’t be noticed. It can hold most weapons and the items she get acquires from her journey.

She wears baggy pants which are dark blue, and on her feet are black boots.

Personality: Rikah, on the outside, is a friendly girl who can’t help but give a smile. She seems very approachable and will seem to consider anything that you ask her to do. She can also be very careful and though she might end up talking to about just anyone, it takes her a long time to trust a person, and she isn’t very quiet on telling other people that. When she doesn’t trust someone, she just says it outright.

When Rikah seems more comfortable to a person, her attitude seems to change. She can be more sarcastic at times, and she’s also wittier.

Rikah is the type of person who thinks fighting is unnecessary, but she’s also the type of person who loves the excitement it gives. She doesn’t back down from a challenge unless she knows that she absolutely has no chance of winning.

Weapons:

Penna – A magical staff which Rikah needs when she’s going to cast a spell. On the handle is embedded one of her mother’s feather which she gets her magic from.
Dagger – Iron. It’s more of a last resort to defend herself, but she can’t really use it skillfully.

Items: White Herbs x3 – for emergency healing.

Skills: She can only use magic when she’s holding her staff. Rikah moves very swiftly because of her size, which she often uses as an advantage.

Rikah was also trained in close combat, just in case her magic is out. She can wield a dagger to defend herself at the last minute, although she can’t use it as skillfully as she can use her magic.

Fire Wall –She can cast a shield of fire around a certain space, but it’s not that strong yet. The wall will probably just be there for around a minute. Can be cast two times a thread.

Fire Bolt – It’s not that developed yet. Now, she can only cast around two bolts per spell which charges the opponent one after the other. It can only damage to slight burns. Can be cast two times a thread.

Earthquake – Can cause the ground in a certain space to shake and allow tremors to appear. It can’t really hurt others (unless they fall down) but it serves as a very useful distraction. Can be cast two times a thread.

History: Rikah Nocturn grew up a special kind of Seraph—she had no wings. They said wingless Seraphs were a sin, and they wanted her exiled from the village. Her mother defended her, though, and said that some Seraphs just gained their wings late. What was weird about Rikah, though, was that even though she was just a baby she could burn things without meaning to. Most adult seraphs couldn’t even do this, and they said it was a gift only special wings had.

When she was growing up, she realized something. When she was around five years old, she approached her mother and asked her why she had scars on her back where her wings should be. Her mother started crying and said she didn’t know. Rikah didn’t believe her but didn’t ask more.

When Rikah turned ten, her mother called her and gave her one of her feathers. Rikah was very confused when her mother finally started telling her the truth. It was a very grave thing when a seraph’s wings are stolen, even graver than not having them at all, that’s why her mother lied to her. When she was just born, her own father took her wings and ran away to sell it. Her father was a wingless Seraph and had a grudge that her mother didn’t know about. He sold it at a very high price because it never wilted and was a very valuable thing in the market. Then she said, “And he came back just now, and he was even nice enough to leave me one of my feathers and a minute to explain to you.”

Just after her mother said that, blood spurted out of her mouth and she died. Rikah, in horror, noticed that she didn’t have her wings anymore. Rikah started crying beside her mother’s corpse.

That night, the Seraphs saw a strange sight. A house was burning and the people living there were nowhere around. Rikah had burned her house down and left her mother’s ashes there, because she didn’t want anyone to see her mother without wings, since she knew how everybody in her village felt about it.
