Dan's opener quest in Corone will finish up in the next few days and send him out of the city limits. He'll find that he's forced to pick a side in the civil war entirely against his will. He's going to seek out a member of the Rangers for entry to their ranks but the journey will take him directly through contested areas.

He can't ignore his power any more, and needs to learn how to use it to defend himself. He needs to take control of it, and needs some guidance from another practitioner. All he knows now is if he has a small amount of, well, anything in his leather pouch and he runs his power through it, he can directly manipulate/alter things in the world around him.

He needs to get weaponised.

Anyone able to help? Could be run in something of a battle, a quest, anything. Hoping for something of a 'speedy' run start to finish, bit of a side plot in Dan's wider arc. If you can manage to fit this in your own story arc that'd be good too.

This might be up my alley. I've been looking for an excuse to get back into writing, and I've also long since wanted to put Eli in a 'teacher' role. He is obviously very experienced and powerful, but has a special kind of experience that could prove especially helpful. He has experience starting more or less where your character is now -- developing magic powers but having now clue what to do with them, and being forced to sort of figure it out on his own for a while. And there aren't too many characters more suited to teaching 'weaponized' magic than Eli.

I'm not sure how well-suited I would be to a "speed quest". I don't post super fast, but neither do I skimp on quality. So, it's up to you. Let me know.

If my character Hallow gels with your ideals, Etheryn, then I am sure I can rustle up something speedy and easy reading to get your juices flowing...

Alive or dead ;).
