What's up guys!

For some reason I got the urge to see what's going on on good ol' Althanas. Look at all this new fangled fanciness! Shiny new board, exp bars (which I suggested like 8 years ago lol), some new features... plus it looks like activity has increased a good bit since I was last here!

Man it's been a while. Quick search through my posts shows my last post was almost exactly a year ago. And that was just to argue about video games with Letho. My last actual RP post was almost 2 years ago, when I helped with the bazaar for a bit.

Quick update: I graduated from college last year (it's been a year already?) and got a big-boy job doing engineering at Fort Jackson (yay federal employment!). My relative lack of free time has meant no valiant return to RP, not that I have any idea how to continue Sorahn's story anyway. :P Have I dropped out of the top 50 yet? lol

Anyway, just thought I'd say what's up. Anybody even still remember me? o_O

Ya'll are really making me want to start RPing again... Maybe I could try to hop in a couple threads again for old time's sake. ;) I'll start daydreaming up a new plot direction for Sorahn.

Haha oh yeah I remember that. That thing was epic. 4 chapters and I think like 43 posts. Wasn't my best writing ever but I actually had a lot of fun writing it.

That was always my problem. I would get bogged down in my writing and lose sight of the fun of it. If I do make a comeback, I'm going to do it for the fun. Not that I'm going to let my writing suck, but I need to force myself to avoid the quest for perfection.

Depends on where you go. If you're going to get your head kicked by DSes, then yeah. It's terrible. Otherwise, the place was beautiful when I went there.

Then again I wasn't a holdover and I'm from Ohio the land of grey skies and scrubland. =P

Green foilage of any kind, clear skies and flora are a step up from what I'm used to, haha.

Odd that you would hate us because we're the ones that maintain all of your shit (fixing your buildings, building new facilities, maintaining housing, doing your paperwork, sorting your mail, making sure you get paid, even doing your taxes) and we get 0 credit. :P

Stick around long enough for another civi employee strike because the benefits, pay or credit isn't good enough and ask around to see if the soldiers wonder why some of those jobs haven't just been converted to MOSes yet. Things can grind to a halt in some places over something like a pay dispute.

Just saying. For a federal job; you guys get great pay, incredible benefits and a decent retirement plan, but all it boils down to is that it isn't good enough in comparison to ours. So keep on keeping on. Appreciate the work and what you and civillian employees do, just hate the fucking 'haves and have nots' attitude that comes with it.
