I'm probably just either not looking hard enough or not looking in the right place for the answers, but I have a couple of questions that have kept me from writing anything IC just yet:

1. Is there a limit on the amount of threads a character can be involved in at once?

2. Is there anywhere that has a list of descriptions on certain places? Meaning, what does Underwood or another location actually look like if my character's strolling through it?

No limits to how many threads you can join in. As long as you feel you can keep up, more power to you!

Their is an FAQ and I think part of the Almanac is in there as well, which may help you with the regional info, but as far as I know most of regions have a time period feel to them, and so you can kinda go hog wild as you see fit.

Akashima: Feudal Japan, but more anime style.

Corone: Island nation, mostly forested, medieval times without the constant disease. (we keep things clean here)

Alearar: Elven territories, also higher I would guess Steam tech races. Elven races you'll usually find some elegant structures that resemble high fantasy.

Fallien: Sand, and lots of it.

Now, these are MY interpretations of the lands, and everytime I have used them as such I've never once been penalized. You are the creator, this is YOUR story, so you write how you see fit. So long as you give a good description, enjoy your time, and have fun nobody is really gonna bother you or call shenanigans.

Hope that helps, and if you wanna battle, well...I know someone who'd love to sink their on ya! Or even quest if you'd like.

Haha, I'm up for a battle. :)

As far as questing goes, I have a bit of a... unique character when it comes to him interacting with others, and I have a friend that has agreed to stop in here and rp with me to start things off (I'll probably open it as a solo beforehand.)

Take liberties, Sir, Symbi has a bit of the right idea. While there is a communal image of what what ought to look like, its a hazy one built on imagination rather than pictures. Example: When I write Radasanth, I think Victorian England. When I write Underwood, I think Victorian Ireland. No one has told me I was wrong.

We have the handbook above, and here (http://www.althanas.com/world/faq.php) for most of the larger details. Just try to keep in mind what is and is not an island, and if you want to go deep into the world previously built, feel free to peruse the history and almanac.
