Basics

Name: Ahk'Ran
Race: Human
Heritage: Fallien
Age: 26
Height: 6'1
Weight: 260

Appearance

Ahk'Ran is a very tall, dark tanned man with smooth skin. No hair save for his eyebrows adorns his skin as he ritually keeps practice to remain clean shaven. He wears a sheep skinned kilt that has been died black and woven onto cured leather. The same leather is wrapped around his wrists as well as the top portion of his chest in a half circle. He carries at his side attached only by a deep purple sash a bronze Khopesh (Uniquely shaped Scimitar/Kilig)

Demeanor

Ahk'Ran is a very easy going warrior, who treats others of the blade with respect and due courtesy to those he knows is of higher rank. However his attitude towards peasants and slaves isn't as high. He does not speak to them with the utmost respect, but is at the least polite.

History

Ahk'Ran is one of the few soldiers in the army of Far Ka-Lar, a small nation deep in the deserts of Fallien. A small strip of other provinces live in the surrounding area, and it is only by the trade that open hostility hasn't lead each clan to war.

As a warrior he has been granted with certain rights, a status given to him by birth from his father who was a noble in the city province. As is customary, a father is to sire four children. The first two children will go to each respective branch of the military; the Warriors and the Warrior Priests. The third child is sent to the heavenly king as a politician, engineer, or other stately office. The fourth child is left with the noble family to carry the legacy of their heritage.

Being the oldest of his family, Ahk'Ran was gifted by the gods to be a warrior born. At a young age he had been gifted with a vision of the future, and he knew his place was in the grand army of Far Ka-Lar. His sister, Neferea was a skilled student, and the path of the Warrior Priest was clearly hers to master. As the age to join the military is twelve Ahk'Ran never learned of his other two siblings, nor their fate. Such is the way in that area for to learn of your family creates ties that will only cloud the mind.

Ahk'Ran trained with a group of students who quickly became his closest friends. Ahkman-Hotep was the superior horse rider in the group of warriors as Ahk'Ran was the strongest and most ox like. Settra was the master of tactics, and the leader of their band. Khali was the lithe agile fighter, her powers compared to the speed of a scorpion. All four had trained and done many skirmishes to defend Far Ka-Lar, and the bond they held was unbreakable.

At the current present, Far Ka-Lar and a neighboring city have begun to get more and more physical in their patrol skirmishes, and reports of full war are beginning to rumor around the barracks. As for Ahk'Ran he has only the youth of his age, and that blindness to be his downfall.
Skills

Ahk'Ran will have two sets of skills: Character Traits and actual abilities.

Character Traits

As a warrior, Ahk'Man has trained to be a master at war. However youth a only small skirmishes have been the real world experience he has had. The coming conflict will test his mettle and see if he really is ready to fight like the warrior he thinks he is. As such his skills, while well learned, are nothing compared to those with real world skills. He is at best average with the blade.

His training has always taught him that to respect a warrior is a necessity. To disrespect an opponent is to cloud your mind to the battle ahead. Ahk'Ran will never taunt an opponent in spite or disrespect any aspect of the warrior he faces. He will not hesitate to attack and fight with nothing but his best because of this.

Combat Skills
Weapons Training: Ahk’Ran has studied the traditional use of the Khopesh in battle, the blade now an extension of his body as he wields it. Due to the nature of the weapons size and shape, it is hard for him to adapt to other weapons that are more balanced or awkward.
-Khopesh/Scimitars/Kilig: Skill level Expert
Long swords/Short Swords/ or other ‘Balanced blades like Katanas and other cultural swords: Skill level Below Average
Axes/Club like weapons/ Hammers and Maces: Skill level Below Average.

Along with his training he has learned to ride a horse and wield a weapon at the same time, and this multi-tasking ability is very difficult to master. He can perform this at an average level, but does give him height advantage and momentum if he were to charge on a horse.

Abilities

Blessed by the gods: So long as Ahk'Ran is in the sunlight and is able to speak he can perform a few rituals to get the blessings of his gods to aid him in battle. These skills vary depending on the ritual and the god in question. As each Ritual does require time, he can only use one at any moment.

These are the rituals he knows as of level 0:

Blessed be the Earth, for it is the foundation of my soul: By cutting deep into his right arm and placing desert sand into his wound, Ahk'Ran can gain the blessing of the earth god. It will toughen his chest and upper arms as if he wore a breast plate equal to iron in strength for as long as his wound bleeds. (Five posts, consecutive in order IE: Ahk'Ran's post, than opponent post. This is two posts. Can be used once per battle, otherwise once every ten posts in a quest.)
NOTE: His back is not covered by the protection of the god.

Blessed be the Sun, who brings me the strength of a new day: By shallowly slitting one of his arms from the palm to his elbow, the muscles in the wounded arm will intensify to give Ahk'Ran the strength of 1.5 men. This ability is blessed to him so long as he bleeds. (Three consecutive posts. He can use this ability twice in any thread, once for each arm.)

Blessed be the wind, which blows away my impurity: Should Ahk'Ran be under some ill effect of poison or other crippling ability that is a byproduct of foul magics than he may make a plea to the god of the wind to cleanse him of his impurity and make him whole. This can also heal minor injuries like shallow cuts. The god of the wind is fickle however, and doesn't all heed the call of his name. (Ritual takes a full post to perform and Ahk'Ran cannot be attacking while performing the ritual. It can only be used once a battle and once every ten posts in a quest. Cleanses Ahk'Ran from any ill status affects at the start of his next post. However, higher levels will not be cleansed so easily, and thus he can only heal affects from levels that are 1 higher than he is.)

Equipment

Ahk'Ran carries a Bronze Khopesh (tier iron) and wears a leather kilt and leather armor that crosses his chest and back in a half circle. He carries with him a few assorted Ivory and Ebony statues of the gods in his burlap sack, and four small pouches of desert sand. He keeps perfumed matches and scented candles with him as well to offer thanks to his many gods.

Khopesh: The weapon is going to be considered an ability, as its nature is designed to maim and kill. I feel I should clarify this. The weapon is not going to lightly cut, nor when it he swings it do the damage of a normal blade. This is a sharpened weapon blade with a weighted tip designed to cut through bone. If the Khopesh is allowed a two handed strike with full swing, it WILL cut through flesh and bone. However, if the opponent wears armor, or has heavy clothing on, they can mitigate this damage as however the player sees fit.
(Rules Clarification: As I stipulated, Ahk’Ran must perform a TWO handed FULL swing in order to reap the benefits of the weapon. In essence, he needs to perform an executioner’s cut, not a quick strike.

Welcome back.

Just make sure you don't get to crazy with the Khopesh. Be realistic with it and there shouldn't be any issues.

Approved.
